To God Be The Glory that Miss. Favour Biko who was recently reported to have been held captive in Iraq for her journey in looking for greener pastures has been successfully rescued and reunited with her family.

Recall we reported last week of her safe arrival to Nigeria solely facilitated by Rt. Hon. Prince Chibudom Nwuche OFR, DSSRS, Esama Ekpeye Logbo and Former Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives.She was received at the Abuja Airport and accommodated by the staff of Rayfield Associates legal practitioners( a firm in which Hon Nwuche is the principal partner),who were the firm liasing with the Iraqi lawyer that assisted and also accomodated her before her departure from Iraq.

It is pertinent to report that Favour Biko has finally arrived at Port Harcourt, Rivers State and is reunited with her family.

Favour Biko who arrived Port Harcourt yesterday Wednesday 17th January, 2024 and was received by her family and friends.

Speaking shortly after her arrival, Favour expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche who single handedly shouldered the burden of bringing her back to Nigeria and in safe hands. She eulogized Nwuche for having such a kind heart to save her life even when he does not know her personally and barely knows her family but was moved with compassion and human sympathy to save a poor child as she. "I am short of words on what to say to Oga Chibudom Nwuche, he saved my life, he spent plenty money to ensure my safe evacuation and arrival here, I don't have much to say but thank him and pray God almighty to protect and guide such a good man" she said.

Speaking further, Miss Biko sent her gratitude to the combined efforts of the rescue team members both in Nigeria and abroad that ensured her safe arrival. She equally appreciates the Ekpeye Elites who did not judge her for travelling far for greener pastures but agreed to save her life and bring her back in sound health. She prayed God to bless all who made this rescue mission a success and prayed for a united Ekpeye as she has learnt so many lessons from her ordeal.

Nwuche Mourns Former Speaker Ghali Na’Abba.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche has expressed shock over the death of Former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’Abba with whom he worked closely between 1999 to 2003 and with whom he has been working closely with ever since and condoled with the family, wife and children and the people of Kano Municipal Federal Constituency over the huge loss.

Nwuche who described the death of Ghali as a great loss to the nation and the Democratic family, noted that Ghali was an erudite speaker who led a vibrant house with many outstanding achievements including passing into law of several important legislations such as Cabotage Act, NSCDC Act, EFCC Act, ICPC Act, the NDDC Act amongst other bills.

He emphasized that Ghali stood for a prosperous and developed Nigeria based on the rule of law, through separation of powers of the various arms of government. He was a detribalized and patriotic Nigerian who treated all Nigerians equally and fairly irrespective of tribe and religion.

He will be missed by all lovers of democracy in the country, as despite leaving political office over two decades ago, he continued to intervene regularly on national issues by providing guidance.

He longed to see a prosperous and developed Nigeria based on equity and fairness to the various segments of our country.

May his great soul rest in perfect peace.

NWUCHE CALLS ON NIGERIANS TO RALLY BEHIND WIKE,COMMENDS PRESIDENT TINUBU.

Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche former deputy speaker has called on Nigerians to rally behind FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in his drive to restore the Abuja master plan and instill discipline in urban development.

Those who have lived in Abuja since the return of the democratic dispensation in 1999 can attest to the deterioration of the capital city by illegal structures taking over public spaces,green areas illegally allocated by unscrupulous officials to cronies,areas for public facilities like fire services/ Police stations were also allocated to individuals. How can areas in a capital city not have available spaces for the construction of fire service and Police Stations etc.This was especially under the immediate past minister under whose watch parts of Abuja became like slums,the streets were dirty and unkempt, a clear reason why unqualified person should never be appointed to public offices on the basis of nepotism and tribalism.

He commended President Tinubu for making the right decision in picking Wike who is a known achiever and who performed exceptionally as the immediate past governor of Rivers state,and brought development,infrastructure to all local governments and cities in the state. He described Wike as detribalized and nationalistic, who will treat all Nigerians equally. The appointment has restored the faith of many Nigerians in our unity,equality as Nigerians and a departure from the nepotism of the past where certain portfolios were reserved for only a part of the country.

He wondered where those bitterly condemning were during the past administration where the ministers of FCT did practically nothing but occupy space and allow the Capital city to fall apart.

No country that desires development should listen to archaic and unexposed persons, be they clerics,former government officials etc who prefer when only those from their tribe and religion hold sensitive offices including the defence and security portfolios in a multi ethnic and multi religious country. When one walks into a Nigerian airport,Police stations, immigration offices etc one should see a reflection of our diversity and all tribes fairly represented. Not the one where at immigration services,police,customs,etc you see a preponderance of one tribe and one religion . These are the issues that have held Nigeria down.He called on people of goodwill to speak up and not allow retrogressives drive down their parochial and divisive agenda.

He called on President Tinubu to consolidate on his development strides by appointing more competent nationalists into positions of authority and removing anyone found to be a tribal or religious bigot,inorder to set Nigeria firmly on the path of rapid socio economic development and for her to join the committee of developed nations.

We all know the antics of these critics who only see things good when their tribe are appointed into positions, even when those people are destroying our country on account of their incompetence,bigotry and putting a knife to our national unity they keep quiet.

He urged Wike not to be distracted by these critics as Nigerians are much wiser after suffering under incompetent leadership for many years,and understand the antics of these critics.He urged President Tinubu to ignore such people snd continue on the part of giving every Nigerian a sense of belonging irrespective of their tribe and religion.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Chibudom Nwuche has condoled the Nigeria Police Force and the the family of SP Bako Amgbashim for the death of the gallant officer who restored peace in a very short time to Ekpeye as a whole, while he served as the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

He called on the authorities and security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act and for the full weight of the law to be brought upon them.The brazen killing is an affront to civilised society and undermines the authority of the state. He also called on Ekpeye people, traditional rulers, chiefs and the general public to work with the security agencies to fish out and apprehend the criminals behind the act.

He further prayed for the repose of the soul of SP Bako Amgbashim who displayed extra ordinary gallantry in combating crime during his posting to Ogoni land and now Ekpeye and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Kaniye Congratulates Wike as FCT Minister, thanks Tinubu.

The immediate past Rivers State Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development Professor Kaniye S.A Ebeku has congratulated His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on his appointment and inauguration as the Minister incharge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

Kaniye in a telephone interview with newmen could not hide his joy on the appointment of a Rivers Son and performer to head the nation's number one metropolitan city. Kaniye said this shows "hard work, commitment and capacity " hence he has no doubt that Wike will always work his magic in Abuja as he has done in Rivers State when he was governor.

The erudite academician and professor of law thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for finding a Rivers son worthy to serve on such an exalted position of trust and therefore assured Mr. President of the capacity of the new minister to deliver as always.

Recall that professor Kaniye Ebeku served as the a two time Commissioner for the Ministries of Education, Water Resources and Rural Development respectively under His Excellency Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike then as Governor of Rivers State.

He thanked the Senate President His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio and his colleagues in the Senate for the speedy confirmation of Nyesom Wike as it will send the right message to those who are elected that when they work for the people while in office, our institutions and the generality of Nigerians will recognize them and give them due accolades.

Hon Nwuche also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making the right choice as Nyesom Wike carries the hopes of the larger majority of Rivers people, and has shown that if given any platform, he will always work for the interest of the masses and the down trodden and will bring his customary energy and foresight to any portfolio he is assigned to. Kelvin N Anugwo Ph.D FNIM, JP, AP, has formally conferred the title of Esama Ekpeye Logbo (The Full Moon of Ekpeye Kingdom) on the Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche . Late Eze Ekpeye II, His Imperial Majesty Eze (Flt Lieut.) Robinson O. Robinson JP in 2017 pronounced and blessed Nwuche with the singular highest honour and title before his demise.

Eze Robinson O. Robinson who passed on in 2018 had on account of the leadership qualities and commitment of Hon. Chibudom Nwuche to Ekpeye courses both during and after his tenure as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, bestowed on him the title of Esama Ekpeye Logbo.

The current Eze Ekpeye Logbo who ascended the throne in May 2022, had therefore at his first Anniversary celebration conducted the official ceremony of the conferment of Esama Ekpeye Logbo on Hon. Nwuche at a colorful event to celebrate his one year anniversary on the throne as Eze Ekpeye Logbo III at his Palace at Ula Upata Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Hon. Chibudom Nwuche who was the chairman of the occasion while making his opening remarks thanked the monarch for the honour done to him and recounted how late Eze Robinson O. Robinson honoured him with the title at the height of his political victimization by certain political actors from the state, and the significance of the title at that time and therefore used the opportunity to urge those in authority not to use their positions for oppression but rather use them to uplift the people.

Nwuche who expressed concern over the insecurity in Ekpeye land and reports in National newspapers of the killings in Ekpeye urged the traditional rulers to work together and end insecurity in the area.

He also called on the Local Government Chairmen of Ahoada East and Ahoada West as chief security officers of the area, to sacrifice resources and time towards ending the insecurity as Ekpeye is gradually becoming unsafe to live and for businesses to thrive due to the regular killings in the area.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche has urge political leaders to offer quality and effective leadership to the people in order the earn their trust which will in turn translate to electoral victory,and to put the welfare of the masses before their personal comfort.

Speaking at St Barnabas Anglican Church Ochigba Parish in the Diocese of Ahoada, during the Easter Sunday and thanksgiving service by a Non Governmental Organization known as New Era in Rivers State for the successful 2023 general elections, the former lawmaker called on leaders at all levels and those in authority to use their God given positions for the upliftment of the people and not to use power to oppress them, noting that it was possible for the PDP in Rivers State to win the elections easily because of the landmark achievements of the state governor Chief Barr Ezenwo Wike across the state in terms of infrastructure and human capital development. This is unlike some leaders who used their positions to inflict pain and hardship upon the people, emphasizing that with such anti people leadership styles, voters will have no option but to demonstrate their rejection of such political leaders through their votes against them or their anointed candidates, as was the case with some of the parties that contested the just concluded gubernatorial elections.

Hon Nwuche who is the grand Patron of New Era commended the group for returning to thank God for the peace and success recorded during the 2023 general elections especially in Rivers State that produced Sir Siminialayi Fubara of the PDP as Governor Elect.He noted that the elections were free and free,and even where people expected violence like in Ahoada East,there was none.

He wondered why some politicians were making so much noise and trying to drag INEC into a needless controversy when they know that they lost woefully in the gubernatorial elections in Rivers state, as they had nothing to showcase to win the peoples vote,having wasted the opportunity their leaders had to positively impact on the state and her citizens during their several outings in leadership positions. He maintained that PDP won by landslide in Rivers state, and will still do so if the elections were repeated 100 times. He thanked the people of Ochigba who voted over 90% for the PDP in the gubernatorial elections on account of their trust in his and others leadership and openess to them.

Some of their leaders did not only not promote Rivers people but went as far as terminating projects of Rivers sons gotten with the support of good Nigerians from other regions of the country. Who will vote for such vindictive and selfish leaders, who see power as a means to aggrandise themselves and oppress the generality of Nigerians,and can not point to any development they attracted to Rivers state during their various outings in Government.

This mounting debts have also not spared their local partners that are the backbone of Ambrey operations in Nigeria and who have been financing the business for Ambrey in the past five years. The debts to one particular client runs into several millions of dollars besides several millions of dollars owed to other providers including bunker suppliers, security vessel providers, port services etc.

Ambrey International has also severally been accused by local operators including MASPAN of unethical practices,including under pricing of services and deployment of sub standard vessels for escort services in Nigerian territorial waters.Tax evasion,and posing a threat to the National security of Nigeria by their involvement in issues of piracy and kidnap and ransome.

These difficulties of Ambrey International became noticeable after the failed merger and acquisition by Ocean Infinity which may have inflicted losses on the Ambrey group who now appear to be struggling with huge unpaid bills to contractors and providers in several countries in West Africa.

Attempts to reach Chris Charnley the M/D of Ambrey International were unsuccessful to confirm if this information filtering into the market is correct.

With this development, it is feared that Ambrey International maybe losing many of its clients who have noticed a drop in service delivery as service providers now prefer to divert their vessels to more serious Maritime Security Companies who meet up prompt payments.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche has called on the People of Ahoada East local government Area and Ekpeye ethnic nation in general to vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party in the March 11 Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Speaking when he received the Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Rt. Edison Ehie who is the PDP candidate for Ahoada East L.G.A State Constituency 2 at his Ochigba country home, Nwuche urged the people to vote 100% for all PDP candidates, as the state under Barr Nyesom Wike has witnessed tremendous developments in terms of infrastructure and human capacity development across all the local governments and ethnic groups, especially the Ekpeye people, emphasizing that Ekpeye has never had it this good as witnessed under the PDP government led by Nyesom Wike and will reciprocate the governor’s good gestures by voting for PDP.

He commended Hon Edison Ehie for the visit and for reaching out to the people especially for the various projects and human empowerment programs he has carried out within his constituency and beyond, noting that he is certain of the Victory of PDP in the polls as the people would not want to waste their votes on any other party.

Addressing the Lord Echendu Foundation volunteers who were led by Arch. Churchill Chisanim Odum, the paramount ruler of the Ekpeye people warmly welcomed the volunteers and expressed his happiness on the support and solidarity of the Foundation who saw the plight of the Ekpeye people and decided to sympathize with them in words and actions.

His majesty continued to appreciate the Director/Chairman of the Foundation Lord (Engr) Echendu Ndubuisi Anthony Humphrey for being detribalized and patriotic hence prayed for his success and prosperity and that of the Foundation and volunteers.

The President General, Uzugbani Ekpeye (Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality Apex Social -Cultural Organization) also poured encomiums on the foundation and her support to the Ekpeye people at this time of need.

The Former Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Chibudom Nwuche used the opportunity while speaking to call on representatives of the people at all levels to be proactive and work with the executives to find lasting solutions to the perennial flooding which has caused so much damage and suffering to the people.

Prince Nwuche suggested the construction of Dams which in turn will be used for Agricultural purposes as it is seen in the international best standard practice.

To encourage the good works of the Ekpeye Students through their" Flood Rescue Volunteers" Initiative, the Foundation also supported in cash to ease their work as their service to humanity is in tandem to the objective of the Foundation.

In another development, Lord Echendu Foundation who is gender sensitive and understands the principles of educating the girl child has equally offered University Scholarship to two deserving Ekpeye Students.

Miss. Chinatu Destiny Paul and Miss. Vendy May were announced as beneficiary by the Director/ Chairman, Lord Echendu Foundation himself.

Recall that the Lord Echendu Foundation has been in the business of serving mankind over the years as it has carried several intervention projects and outreach in and out of Nigeria.

The good and peace loving people of Igbu Akoh Kingdom had their 2022 wrestling season opening ceremony yesterday 29th July, 2022 under the distinguished chairmanship of Hon. Barr. Nwuche Urges For A Peaceful And United Ekpeye

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche has urged for a more united and peaceful Ekpeye Nation to enhance the development of the area.

The Esama Ekpeye Logbo (Moon of Ekpeye) stated this while speaking as special guest during the 2022 opening ceremony of the Upata Kingdom Wrestling Season at Edeoha town in Ahoada East L.G.A of Rivers State on Tuesday 21st June 2022.

Nwuche who described sports as a veritable tool for individual and societal development, encouraged the youths to eschew violence and shun criminal activities but engage in productive ventures such as sporting activities which is a major source of revenue and livelihood and to emulate those who use their energies productively in sports, business and other endeavors.

Esama Ekpeye who described Ekpeye as a blessed ethnic nation with abundant human and natural resources, commended Ekpeye traditional rulers for the unity amongst them and the peace they are promoting in Ekpeye which will attract more development to the area.

He thanked the Upata King His Royal Majesty Eze Felix Otuwarikpo for organizing the event by “keeping alive the legacies and memories of his predecessor late HRH Eze C. C Nwuche who was a wrestling enthusiast and promoter of Ekpeye culture”, noting that the Ekpeye traditional wrestling brings together all sons and daughters of Ekpeye and a symbol of peace and unity in Ekpeye land.

Prince Nwuche commended the local government chairmen of Ahoada East and Ahoada West L.G.As Barr Ben Eke and Evang. Hope Ikiriko for their support to the Traditional Rulers and promotion of sports in Ekpeye land which has contributed to the peace being enjoyed by the people.

A group under the auspices of “Nwuche Support Group” have urged the Ekpeye people and the general public to discountenance rumors making the rounds that Esama Ekpeye Logbo of Ekpeye land and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche is interested in occupying the vacant stool of Eze Ekpeye Logbo of Ekpeye land as Eze Ekpeye Logbo III.

In a statement issued at Ahoada, the leader of the group High Chief Kroham Joel described the rumuor as mischievous and being sponsored by known political interests within the area who want Nwuche out of the political space by luring him to the traditional stool of Eze Ekpeye Logbo which of course will prevent him from active political participation and thereby making way for them to achieve their self seeking agenda.

He maintained that Nwuche has never shown any interest in the stool and has indeed blessed all the aspirants that have collected nomination forms and urged them to all work for the interest and development of Ekpeye Kingdom.


Kroham who described Nwuche as having very high regard and respect for the Eze Ekpeye Logbo stool, said the Ekpeye people at this time would rather prefer Nwuche who is the political leader of Ekpeye with the National reach to remain in the political scene and continue to attract developmental projects to Ekpeye people as has been the case in recent times due to Nwuche’s close and cordial relationship with the Governor of Rivers State His Excellency Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.

He urged Ekpeye people to ensure a smooth and peaceful process towards electing a new king, assuring that any one that eventually emerges will receive the blessings, support and cooperation of the Esama Ekpeye Logbo for the overall development of Ekpeye land.

Hon Prince Chibudom Nwuche at his Ochigba residence in Ahoada East L GA of Rivers state, the leader of the group comrade Okolobia Frankling said they were in Nwuche’s house to convey the resolve of the generality of Ekpeye people that having xrayed the persons indicating interest to occupy the Rivers state Brick House come 2023, they have found Nwuche most credible and worthy to take over the affairs of Rivers state from the wonderful performance of His Excellency Chief Barr Nyesom Wike and continue in that legacy towards a better Rivers State, the sterling performance of Prince Nwuche in the House of Representatives especially as Deputy and his commitment to the wellbeing of the common man stands him out to occupy and deliver on the task of the exalted office of a Governor.

Speaking while unveiling the modern market, Nwuche eulogized the deputy speaker for his developmental strides and empowerment programmes in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality especially in Upata, Ahoada East Constituency II where he represents.
