Again it brings to the fore the question I wish to ask our law enforcement community. Why is the standard issue weapon of the police force an assault rifle. The AK-47 is a weapon of war not of law enforcement. Why.

bright007: I commend seun for really stepping down from his high seat to dine with nairalanders.It promotes mutual respect and positive character.
Since nairaland is a diverse community of webusers,(bringing together people of different background,age-group,ideology,etc). Knowing that,"one man's meat is another man's poison", it would be an abortive task to try and create a sound online environment without blemish.

I was with å couple of friends today and one of them used the the price of garri in d convo...then I remembered nairaland and smiled.Then I realised it is not the best to hate something up to d point of calling for its demise but to ignore such things whenever we see them.

Seun: I am personally committed to making sure Nairaland serves as a platform where every Nigerian can speak his/her mind and be heard. I'm not a dictator by nature. I don't look forward to controlling people or telling them what to say. But as a commercial site, there are certain standards imposed on us.

Quite a few people seem to have an issue with ethnic comments. I'll deal with that later. Thanks for pointing my attention to that.

hoodboy: Kinda fu.cked up the way seun drops a post and leaves without responding to replies from nairalanders. I think his posts should be ignored until he becomes a fair game player in this forum of ours. And just so you all know, if there is no us, there is no NL, we generate the content that fuels this site and by that act alone I think we deserve some respect from seun. You open a thread, people are trying to get clarifications and you just ignore their posts, that's snobbish and disrespectful. This also applies to your post in the "Garri thread".
