Right-click the network name and choose 'forget this network' or something similar. Then, toggle the WiFi button on/off and try to connect again.

A PC with minimum CPU speed of 2.0 GHz and at least two cores, will suffice. Also, make sure it has at least 4GB of installed physical RAM. Check the link below. It will be very helpful.

so i am considering going for either Hp250G4 or Hp250G1 but wen i check online i discover that model G1 has better features than model G4 like 2.40ghz processor speed and 64bit operating system. please enlighten me before i rush to buy piece of crap

When was the last time it worked fine? Have you gone into BIOS setup to verify that the feature is not disabled?

It's advisable to return that computer and get another one from a more reliable source.

Guys pls i need your advice.

I just got a dell pentium M laptop from an importer who cleared it from a container. I plugged it a working charger that has an indicator light but the pc switched off the light. We tried 3 other chargers, same thing.

An engineer diagnosed the issue to be power problem and he charged me 3k to fix it.

what guarantee do i have that, after fixing the issue, it wont re-occur.

Most importantly, am scared that the pc may have other issues apart from this power problem.

What do you guys suggest?? should i go ahead to fix it or i should just dump it and save for a new one?

When you tried a different network, did you try connecting with a different device?

Remove the battery, and reinstall it.
If it doesn't work, replace the battery.

a friend of mine got a new laptop... I noticed some problems, one of is, when the adapter is removed, it goes off... except when plugged and powered on, I got to notice the battery icon saying 'battery not detected'...

Do you have a valid data bundle or sufficient airtime?

Have you tried a different network? Your current network provider might just be experiencing some issues.

Verify that the radio button labelled 'Obtain an IP address automatically' is selected, as well as the radio button labelled 'obtain a DNS server automatically.'

I am really hoping this could be resolved here.

Here is my challenge. Just last night, I tried to hibernate my system which is what I usually do whenever I have a major job I am on. This, each time I tried would redirect me to the Windows log in page. I tried this like 3times without success and then decided to restart the system if it would solve the problem.

After this, the system refused to come on, displaying that there was a problem trying to start the system that I needed to do a restore, a blue screen showing a crash dump whatever. Since it was late, I forced a shut down. Before this event, I'd been browsing with my mobile phone's hot spot.

Just this morning, the problem was resolved. Only that the system got very slow and I have been unable to browse the internet (it connects quite alright, but it does not load a web page). Mind you, the network is excellent. I tried very hard to use a public wifi which I usually did every week, this time, it connected but I still could not load a web page. I tried different browsers, Chrome, Mozilla, even the internet explorer I'd not used in eons.

This is exhausting, *sigh. I need help ASAP. Please, somebody, anybody!

I recently formatted my system and there is no restore point to fall back on.

Please help.

Check my previous post dated Jan 08, for the steps to perform system restore. When you are done, disable auto-install of Windows updates.

Please help. Each time my system download updates and install, when I switched it on again it is telling me failure configuring windows update, reverting changes. The computer name is dell d620. Please help. Its windows 7 ultimate.

Go to Control Panel > Programs and features > View installed updates.

Uninstall the most recently installed Windows update. That should solve the problem.

Note, if you get an error message relating to Microsoft Installer Service, just google SafeMSI, download and run the software from a flash drive to enable Microsoft Installer Service.

In safe mode, backup your files and reformat the system as a last resort.

Remove it from the computer, and then put it back in. If it doesn't come up still, test the system with another RAM.

For the slow start-up issue, you may have to examine your computer's start-up items and disable unnecessary programs.

Press and hold the Windows key + R > Type msconfig in the search box and press enter > On the system configuration panel, click the startup tab > Click to hide all Microsoft services > Look around and disable third party applications, except those relating to your security software > Apply the changes > If prompted, restart the system.

If after everything, the situation does not improve remarkably, then you may need to backup your files reformat your computer system.

The only way to verify that, is to actually open up the system. In any case, you can always connect the HDD to another desktop PC.

ok bro! But one more tin pls, will d HDD be the same with that of a laptop stata HDD cus its a desktop all in one.

Try detaching the HDD, and connect it to another computer. You should be able to format it from there.
