vankelvin: So you wanted me to type everything? even when you saw ''ETC''? Everything?? What really matter has already been stated. Uyo also has twice the GDP of Mombassa whilst having half its population. UYO GDP: 14.5bn USD. MOMBASSA GDP: 7bn USD. |

vankelvin: That makes perfect sense. Mombasa can't beat Uyo hands down but it really has an urge over Uyo, Kano, Kaduna, Owerri ect. So in simple terms, Mombasa City is beautiful than Uyo city but Uyo beats Mambasa in these categories
Roads Health facilities, Airport Stadium(sports facilities) Entertainment facilities(I'm not sure) ETC
But Mombasa also beats Uyo in Hospitality (tourism) High class residential areas Beach front City planning ETC Mombasa has an edge over uyo?? Am I correct in assuming that’s what you meant. If so...why?? Uyo beats mombassa in all the indices that matter except for tourism. And your conclusion is that Mombasa is better.....because of tourism ? |

vankelvin: That is what brought about these insults, left, right, center on nigerians.
How can you claim Uyo is a beautiful city than Mombasa, then since 4 days, all they have succeeded in doing is repeating pictures of roads, a stadium, hospital, one public school Meanwhile, Kenyans are posting several pictures of Mombasa which are far beautiful than what you are showing us... These guys a first class primitives. ,,, they should post their 2 towers and their Airport as well I think thats all there is to Uyo. Lol.. the Nigerians have been posting things that matter..basic infrastructures, schools, hospital, park, stadiums, Roads, Airport, library etc... while the Kenyans have been posting hotels and beach pics throughout. If they want to compare the two cities in all fairness then let it be done according to categories. Then we will know if Uyo is better or not |

kikuyu1: The corona drama is effing us all in a hundred different ways. For some its merely revealing what's long been covered up and/or disguised. Case in point,'the Giant,' or rather the airports excited juveniles have been endlessly nutting over this past 4 years. As of NOW 17 NATIONAL AIRPORTS HAVE BEEN CLOSED!?
https://m.guardian.ng/news/17-fg-airports-not-viable-may-shut-down-over-losses/
Ofc the number of airports gives the 'appearance of development,of paramount importance to Naijjans but this is a cover for lack of proper roads and rail links. Does anybody else in the world do such hubristic malinvestment, again and again? No ...17 federal airport have not been closed. Do you have trouble understanding what you read?or is it that you don’t read what you post at all. Cos nowhere in your article was anything like airport beinb closed mentioned and here you are jumping up and down like a squirrel about something that only exist in the figment of your imagination. Those federal airport are operating on a deficit budget, they are not making enough money as much as there spending , which is not really that surprising as most government operated airport around the world spend more than they earn. |

rvp20182: Yesterday you finalize realized Ghana is bankrupt (and meaning of the word) and you're now projecting. Kenya economy is humming along. Whatever we will lose in tourism sector - we will gain from oil stimulus package. Kenya is not in any lockdown. What oil stimulus package |

rationalhuman: India is your trading "PARTNER"?? Must be a joke, Tell me Apart from that Crude, what else you can offer to them? Cassava?? Partnership happens among equal ones (Comparing with India or China etc will not place you among them) . And Can you deny the fact that India is your biggest customer?? So if your Biggest customer in in lock down and has almost 75% less demand these days (Not to mention so many cheap purchasing options at his door) will it not effect you?? Isnt a logical question? Now you said you can make money by selling Petrochemicals, What do you mean? Do you have standard processing capability? No you dont. and Who will buy? Definitely Not Europe (They use EU 4) and Definitely not India as they uses even more strict standard BS 6. Accept it there are so many sellers and almost no buyers at all. BTW Dangote will be worlds largest refiner? Are you dreaming? Forget about India`s and China`s refining capacity, did you even looked at Saudi Refining capacity before even posting this? Wait just 30 days and you will see massive layoffs in your every sector as funding will halt. Telling lies here will not save Nigeria. Answer Logically with facts if you can and if not then do something for your country, Kenya is facing Locust problem and will overcome. Kenya is a country of Human resource not OIl DEPENDENT. Doesn’t matter if Kenya is oil dependent or not, you’ll be more affected by the virus than Nigeria. And also Nigeria is India largest trading partner in AFRICA. And the dangote refinery is indeed the second largest in the word after the one of India...as a matter of fact the contractor that built the India refinery are also the one in charge of constructing the one in Nigeria. I know your brain is having difficulty grasping that such a large project can be carried out in Africa, but don’t worry it’s possible. And we also have the largest fartelizer plant in the whole wide world, it should commence operations in May all things being equal. Don’t worry in time, maybe in the next 15years maybe Kenya might also initiate such a project on a massive scale, cos as it stands the dangote project is bigger than anything that Kenya as ever conceived since your country was created. |

rvp20182: The latest on oil -37 dollars per barrel. Yes Negative 37 dollars. That is how much oil companies are willing to pay you if you can evacuate their oil. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-19/oil-drops-to-18-year-low-on-global-demand-crunch-storage-woes
In meantime pollution less cities is making Himalayas visible from India and other benefits. The end of oil is nigh. So you don’t know that we have different types of oil and they are traded differently with divergent prices on the oil market??..Mr self styled economist. It’s the American oil that’s in trouble which is the WTI not the Brent crude oil...the rest of the oil producing nation from Africa, Middle East all trade using the Brent crude oil as their benchmark and since America oil is of inferior quality most of US consumer have cancelled their May contract with the US and have instead opted for the Brent. Next time when you read a bad news concerning Nigeria, before you rejoice take your time out and educate yourself on the subject matter.
