Thanks for telling us that you don't care about knowing the truth. About knowing the actual result. Because someone with a good mind would be invested in knowing the actual results which means supporting INEC to release all necessary documents needful to knowing how people actually voted

Lmao, you are sounding like a broken record.

The people who would be very invested in knowing the truth would be obi lawyers, and yet even they couldn’t provide any evidence.

They just wasted the court and everyone ones time.

Well, that's the ultimate sacrifice for any human being. Millions of soldiers who fought Nazis are largely forgotten but they saved the world. One's efforts at sacrificing himself on the alter of a good and noble cause will always be heroic. Whether recognised or not.

But this point is mute seeing as I'm not actually calling for violent protest in this case. I'm calling for a peaceful one. An absolutely peaceful one. #occupyNigeria. Throughout history, peaceful protests has worked, we can't all see this blatant injustice and fold our hands and accept it. Constantly accepting rubbish from these politicians is what has brought us here.

And the best example you can find is the Arab spring😂😂😂.

Those who participated in the Arab spring wish they hadn’t cos their fortune changed for the worst.

First of all are you saying that agent copy has a high probative value?

Secondly, for your information Peter Obi submitted 10000 hard copies of agent results. But the Tribunal used it against him. That if he was saying INEC results were blurred where did he get his own results from.

I believe you followed the judgement.

INEC result cannot be blurred, it was the IREV that was downloaded that was blurred.

The court were simply telling him IREV was useless as it was secondary evidence, he should provide the result that was blurred on the IREV .

If you think justice was served then I pity you because there will be no hope for any of us as long as election petitions are concerned.

I asked a simple question, tell me what Atiku or Obi could have done to prove they won.

For your information, Agent copies are secondary evidences. Primary evidence are INEC CTCs.

The trick the justices used was to ask Obi to calculate his results before petition. How can he do so...
1. INEC refused to release BVAS for inspection.
2. INEC cleaned the BVAS and asked them to use IREV.
3. INEC did not release the IREV copies until petitions were filed.
4. The IREV copies were unreadable

So in essence, the justices blamed Obi for what INEC did.

Apart from this, in order to ensure that the LP petition does not rope them, they knocked off witness statements of 10 of the 13 witnesses called including those on subpoena.

Jungle justice.

Lol, Maybe you need to read the court judgement of how Natasha akpoti of Kogi state reclaim her mandate yesterday.

She tendered hard copy result from her Polling unit agent to show that the one declared by INEC is wrong and she was the winner of the election.

The results were recalculated and she was declared winner.

It’s obvious that the petitioners were just fixated on the belief that they won the election without any cogent and credible evidence, and they did not even bother to place any such credible evidence before this court, were they expecting the court to go and get evidence on the street or from the market or to be persuaded or intimidated by threats on Social Media, that is not the way of the courts” - Justice Mistura Bolaji-Yusuf

When allegations of falsification are made, it must be proved beyond reasonable doubt

The petitioners need to provide two sets of results one genuine and the other false.

The petitioner indicated at the pre-hearing session it will call 50 witnesses but ended up calling only 13 witnesses

Out of the 13 witnesses, only 3 witness statements is in line with the petition.

For the purposes of the Presidential Election, the constitution states that the entire country is a SINGLE constituency.

A vote in Sokoto is equal to a vote in Abuja is equal to a vote in Lagos.

On the allegations made by the LP that President Tinubu was not qualified to contest in view of the $460k fine in relation to narcotics charges in the US, the court held that trial and conviction by a court is the only way to prove guilt.

The case was a civil forfeiture case as it is a unique remedy which rests on the property being the target and not the person.

The case was in the civil docket of the United state north district court Illinois.

People said the 4.1% unemployment thing was BS cause it doesn't reflect reality, you said they were wrong, and shouldn't argue with hard data that unemployment figures, only to come back a day later saying that unemployment figures are 55-60%, a number different from the hard data of 4.1% you said people shouldn't argue against. grin

Except the 4.1% unemployment thing is not BS.

Are you structurally dumb or something, Are you part of those that needs prayer to comprehend simple statement.

Why is understanding a simple data so hard for you?

Of course Nigeria unemployment figure is 4.1%, but that tells us a single story, you are looking at the data from one perspective, everybody is ignoring the underemployment figures which is more damning that the unemployment rate.

The 60% figure I gave is for underemployment not unemployment. Why is such a simple thing hard for you to understand?

Is your brain leaking?

You were pretty much twerking in celebration that only 4.1% of Nigerians were unemployed and was ready to continue propagating it as the reality until people called you out on it.

How can you have agreed that the report was right only to later start making suggestions of 54-60%, yet you want to claim I knew all-along. Can't you see how much of a contradiction it is?

Celebration?

Are you a confused fellow? Why would I celebrate a report that is damning and paint a bleak economic situation of the country.

I’m only glad they adopted a better statistic methodology, one that will reflect what problem the country has.

I will give you an advice in life, if you don’t understand something, the best approach is to keep quiet. Don’t open your mouth and remove all doubt from people’s mind that you a fool.

This is why our comparators against developed countries should not be taken at face value

I can argue for both of those scenarios being unemployed or both being employed
.
The benefit system in developed countries is what separates the employed from the unemployed

You essentially have to work over 16 hours a week in developed countries for you to earn a premium better than the benefit system can offer you

So if you have employment that pays less than you would get for 16 hours a week work at minimum wage, you will drop out of your job and claim unemployment benefits

So there is a defined line that separates employed from unemployed which the statisticians can reference against. Anyone working 1 hour per week is doing so voluntarily because they have options via the benefit system. That's why those who work few hours a week in USA constitute less than a percentage point of their labour force.

Now applied to Nigeria, I think a good metric to delineate employed from unemployed should be the minimum wage. If you earn less than minimum wage, you should be classed as unemployed so we can know the true nature of things.

Using a wage structure is oversimplifying a complex matter, there are lot of factors that won’t be captured
Using that metrics.

You want to turn economics on its head😂

You won’t be able to pinpoint what exactly the economic situation of the country is and how to work toward solution.

Someone with unpaid work or unpaid internship will be classified as unemployed.

Someone with a part time job but earning above minimum wage will be classified as fully employed.

You won’t be able to capture and estimate those who are underemployed.

I’m actually quite okay with the methodology that is being used, it shows us the reality of things.

It shows we have more of underemployment than unemployment, which is actually worse that what we had before, so I don’t know why people think this report is a good thing when it’s not.

You first said you agreed that Nigeria had an unemployment rate of 4.1%. Ib1me then breaks down what should otherwise be common sense, and now you're saying that true figures should be 55-60% grin.

If you had sense to extrapolate what it should or shouldn't be, you won't fall for stupid stat games from APC. Anybody with two brain cells to scratch together would have known that 4.1% thing was a joke, but you swallowed it.

Not my fault if you lack basic common sense.

Anyone that reads the report will know that there were some unsettling and disconcerting figures there.

How you’ll conclude that it is APC propaganda is beyond me, when the report that was released by NBS does not paint a rosy picture.

But people like you who are structurally stupid and have tunnel political vision see 4.1 unemployment figures and start dancing like a mad man in a market, without even reading what the report are saying.

The person you are quoting basically agrees with me, but you won’t know that because you lack comprehension.

Any reasonable person can see that the report actually indict the government more.

Employment denominator excludes kids and pensioners so 200m cannot be the denominator

You also have to be part of the labor force and actively seeking for job.

A Graduate in his 20’s that is not seeking for job is excluded from the Labour force even if he doesn’t have a job.

Nigeria labor force is around 70-80M

Noted.

This shows the true scale of unemployment problem better than the 30+ percent we were declaring earlier

If Nigeria has 96% employment but with 93% of those 96% employed informally, we can hazard a broad guess that 80% of that 93% have no meaningful employment

So 0.8 X 0.93 X 0.96 = 71%

71% unemployment is roughly what we have in a colloquial way of speaking.

That's roughly the true scale of unemployment and the work we have to do in this country

In other words underemployment.

What we are dealing with is structural underemployment.

Consider this two scenario.

A graduate that is driving korope/Moruwa but is also looking for better job is described as employed but underemployed.

A graduate that is driving Korope/Moruwa but is not actively looking for other job is described as fully employed.

So if you are informally employed but you are not actively seeking for another job, that means you are fully employed and not underemployed.

So your percentage should fall more in the range f 55-60%
