Georgian media recently released disturbing footage of over 500 sheep killed by a single lightning strike while grazing on a mountain pasture in Ninotsminda, southern Georgia.

According to news reports, on August 9th, Nikolay Levanov, a sheep owner from the village of Tambovka, received a distressing phone call from his sheepherder telling him that over a hundred of his sheep had been killed in a thunderstorm. What Levanov didn’t know was that along with his own flock, nearly 400 other sheep had been killed by the same lightning strike. Luckily, the sheepherder himself had only been knocked unconscious by the lightning and eventually recovered.
Shocking video footage shot at the scene of the extremely rare phenomenon shows hundreds of sheep carcasses spread over a green pasture on Mount Abul, a popular sheep grazing area in southern Georgia. Levanov and the other sheep owners have appealed to Georgian authorities for financial assistance to mitigate their losses, but the official response was that a scientific commission first had to establish the exact cause of death of the sheep.

“To be honest, this is the first such case. We have not heard that a thunderstorm could kill so many sheep,” the deputy mayor of Ninotsminda, Alexander Mikeladze, said. “Of course, the mayor’s office will provide support, but first, the farmer himself must bring the opinion of experts in order to accurately determine the cause of the mass death.”On August 12, it was announced that the 550 sheep were to be burned on-site, as the difficult terrain made transporting them off the mountain impossible. It’s unclear if the owners were compensated in any way.

Another similar incident occurred in 2016, in Norway, when a herd of about 300 reindeer was found dead in a remote area of the barren Hardanangervidda plateau. At the time, the lightning strike was described as one of the deadliest ever.

GENDER SELECTION: NATURAL METHODS[b][/b]

Let me begin by saying that gender selection has been a controversial issue hence it isn’t widely accepted, even in medical parlance. It’s believed that the procedure encourages gender favoritism in societies, they argue that if this is allowed to continue, there will be a gender imbalance in the population and will further promote gender inequality, especially in areas already prone to gender inequality.

It’s also worthy of note that the process of gender selection which I’m about to share with you in this post is NOT 100% guaranteed to work as its accuracy is only near perfect. However, about 75% of couples who have used it actually gave birth to a child of their desired gender. Some physicians have even recorded a 95% success rate using this procedure. This is indeed some good news for those who intend it for good purposes like; balancing out their family or just to fulfill a dream of raising a male or female child.

So this method is based on two important factors namely; Time of sexual intercourse and position of sexual intercourse. This means that the woman MUST understand her cycle, how to calculate it, know her ovulation day, when she’s fertile and when she’s free. Refer to my last post http:///WhenIsSheFertile and learn how it’s done if you aren’t familiar with it yet.

Time of sexual intercourse!

The female egg that’s released from the ovary during ovulation contains the XX-Chromosomes while the male sperm that’s released during ejaculation contains the XY-Chromosomes (this means that some of the sperm cells contained in that volume of semen the man ejaculates are carrying the X-chromosomes while some others carry the Y-chromosomes). When an X sperm fertilizes the X egg it results in an XX fetus which is a baby girl, whereas if a Y sperm fertilizes the X egg it results in an XY fetus which is a baby boy!

It’s important to note that the X sperms are heavier, slower and stronger and asuch lives longer, up to 5days in the female reproductive tract. However, the Y sperms are lighter, faster but short lived, lasts only about 3days in the female reproductive tract. The egg lasts about 12-24 hours after ovulation and must be fertilized within this time if a woman is to be pregnant.

When the sperm is released into the vagina, the Y sperms swim faster toward the egg (which is X) and so gets to the egg first but they soon die off if the egg hasn’t been released yet, while the X sperms are slower and so arrives later. Couples who want a male child must have unprotected sexual intercourse either on the ovulation day, a day before or a day after it. This is because the faster Y sperm will reach the egg first. If you have sex 2-3 days or more before ovulation, chances are the short lived Y sperms would have died off before the arrival of the egg leaving only the X sperms with longer life span to fertilize the egg. If the sex happens 2-3 days or more after the ovulation it could still be a male child if the egg is still alive, however, the most likely scenario is that the egg would have died off by then since its life span is only 12-24 hours!

Couples who want a female baby would want to have unprotected sexual intercourse 4-5 days before ovulation and no more. This is to ensure that the fast moving and short lived Y sperms all die off leaving only the slower and long lived X sperms in the female reproductive tract when the egg arrives on ovulation day. So if you want to have a girl, you must abstain from unprotected sexual intercourse in the days immediately before and after ovulation.

Position of sexual intercourse!

According to this method, the ideal position for conceiving a boy is one that allows the sperm to be deposited as close to the cervix (entrance of the womb) as possible. The sex position suggested is with the woman being entered from behind, which allows for the deepest penetration. This way, the sperms will be released just at the entrance of the womb and the faster Y sperm will reach the egg quicker.

However, the best sexual position for conceiving a girl is one that allows for shallow penetration. This means missionary or face-to-face sex, which will make the sperm have to travel farther in the acidic environment of the vagina, thereby favoring the X sperm.

Voila!

Now, you can go ahead and have the babies of your dreams!

1.   Ampiclox by beecham isn’t an abortifacient but an antibiotic! It doesn’t cause abortion, neither does paw paw leaves, unripe pineapples, dry gin or having more sex. It’s appropriate use is in the treatment of bacterial infections.

2.  Saliva and KY Jelly aren’t appropriate sex lubricants at all! These two can be spermicidal (sperm killing) and a such hinder you from getting pregnant. Use canola oil, mineral oil or pre-seed oil instead.

3.  You cannot shift anybody’s womb! It doesn’t matter how long or big you are down there, that piece of meat is too inconsequential in strength to weaken the strong ligaments that suspend the womb in the female pelvis. These ligaments can only be weakened as she gets older or with increased number of child births and not a penis! Prolonged cough, prolonged constipation or carrying of heavy objects over time can also weaken it.

4.  Postinor 2 doesn’t cause cancer at all! It is an emergency contraceptive and is effective within 72hrs after unprotected sexual intercourse, more so within 24hrs after.

5.  Groundnut doesn’t cause pimples (acne)! Acne occurs when the pores of your skin become blocked with oil, dead skin, or bacteria. So the bacteria grows in a clogged pore and the oil is unable to escape. Risk factors for this includes; hormonal changes, diet rich in carbohydrates and refined sugars, certain birth control pills, family history but NOT Groundnuts!

6.  Shisha is not just flavors alone! It predisposes to chronic obstructive airway diseases (COAD) and even cancer like cigarettes and others do. I’ve managed a young girl with respiratory disease, all she did smoke was shisha, oops!

7.  Sugar doesn’t cause diabetes! Diabetes results when either your body fails to produce insulin which is responsible for transporting Glucose into your cells or the Insulin produced fails to recognize the Glucose hence leading to accumulation of the Glucose in the blood.

8.  Infertility is not the fault of women alone! Studies have shown that one half of the infertility problems faced by couples are caused by low sperm count in men. Both parties MUST be investigated in cases of infertility.

9.  Don’t put a spoon in a convulsing person’s mouth! Their saliva touching you doesn’t transmit the disease either! People assume if you allow their mouths to close it results in instant death. While this is false, also note that these convulsion episodes only lasts a few seconds to minutes. During this time, clear the environment of any harmful object, make sure they’re away from large bodies of water or fire. Also, you should lie them on their side to avoid aspiration of saliva which can cause instant death.

10.  Malt and milk is not a hematinic! It’s not a recipe or prescription for building your blood. While it could be rich in certain nutrients that are helpful to your body, it’s not and has never been the cure for anemia.

11.  Babies DO NOT breathe through their fontanelle, they breathe through their nose! That soft bulging spot on top of a baby’s head is called the fontanelle. The is there to allow space for the growth of the baby’s brain and skull. The pulsation (what you call breathing) that you feel there when you touch it is from the cerebral vessels (blood vessels in the brain). The fontanelle may feel a lil hard when the baby is crying, vomiting or Lying down but it closes around 7 to 19months!

12.  You DON’T HAVE TO take multivitamins daily! Your body already synthesizes some important vitamins and trace elements on it’s own and the extra it needs it gets them from your daily diet hence you’re advised to eat balanced diets at all times. If you think there’s a deficiency of a certain vitamin please speak to your doctor about it rather than overdose on multivitamins. That can result in a disease called Hypervitaminosis!

13.  Except you’re on treatment for hypertension or other diseases as prescribed by a Medical Doctor, please DO NOT ABUSE diuretics and laxatives for weight loss! These drugs cause you to loose lots of fluid via excessive urination and purging which can result in chronic kidney failure and or heart failure! To find out safe weight loss regimens, speak to a medical doctor, a dietician or a trained weight loss expert.

14.  Family planning methods ARE NOT DANGEROUS! They’re safe, effective and almost always reliable. They give you the opportunity to choose the number of babies you want to have rather than go on to birth dozens, there are tons of life-threatening complications that result from carrying too many pregnancies. The two major things you might experience when you’re on a hormonal family planning method (eg. IUCD’s, Injectables and Implants) include weight gain, for which you could engage in frequent workouts, and irregular vaginal bleeding, for which there are drugs we can give you to stop it. If you’ve birthed 5 babies and above and or you don’t want to get pregnant again or for the main time, speak with your doctor today for an appropriate family planning method to adopt.

15.  Diarrhea (purging) is NOT ALWAYS BAD, so don’t always be hasty to swallow antidiarrhea drugs! In cases of infections from what we eat or drink, purging can be your body’s means of flushing out those toxins from your system. Imagine taking a drug to stop the purge under this situation! The toxins will rather build up inside your digestive tract and cause more health problems. Diarrhea of infective origin is best left alone while you take lots of fluid to replace ongoing losses and antibiotics to eradicate the microbe causing it. You can know the diarrhea is of infective origin if the stool is bloody, if there’s associated fever, pain, vomiting or abdominal distention. In all, it’s best to always speak with your doctor!

16.  Pregnant women and breast feeding mothers should not eat eggs as the baby will be sick more frequently as a result and the woman will get jaundice. THIS IS A HUGE LIE! Eggs are important source of several key nutrients necessary during pregnancy, such as protein, fats, minerals (such as zinc and selenium) and vitamins A, D and some B vitamins. However, the Salmonella bacterium (causes typhoid fever) can grow inside fresh unbroken eggs. Eggs should therefore be stored and cooked well and not eaten raw.

17.  High blood pressure occurs in young people too! It’s not a disease of the rich or elderly alone as some suppose. It happens in both young people and the poor. Factors that increase your chances of getting it includes: obesity, lack of exercising, family history, high salt diet, not eating healthy, alcohol and smoking.

18.  Diabetes occurs in young people too, even children! There’s a type of diabetes called Type 1, it’s commonly found in people 30years and below, even as young as 5year and 10year old’s can have it too. It results from the failure of the body to produce insulin which is responsible for metabolizing Glucose hence leading to a buildup of Glucose in the blood. It’s also called Juvenile diabetes.

19.  Green teas or any other teas or juices CANNOT detoxify your body! Detoxification refers to the process of removing harmful wastes or products from the body and nothing is burdened with that responsibility besides your Liver primarily, and to a good extent, your kidneys too. Some of those teas you take are loaded with laxatives that make you purge and if excessive, this can cause problems to your kidneys and heart. Your Liver is the major organ that can detoxify you, it disarms toxins in your body including alcohol, and keeps you safe!

20.  Diabetic patients can still eat carbohydrates! They should eat them in small portions per time, say every 2hours or so. That way the body can metabolize the Glucose effectively before the next meal. Total abstinence from carbohydrates is not advisable. Meals rich in proteins, vegetables and nuts are also very much helpful.

HIV requires a certain capacity for you to become infected with the virus and these set of people lack this capacity.

Oh yeah, they're somewhat free to play around with unprotected sexual intercourse however they wish, have multiple sexual partners, throw caution to the wind as regards the use of sharp objects and still not be infected with the dreaded virus!

When HIV enters your blood stream, the target is your immune system and nothing else. People think it's the virus that kills you when infact all the virus does is to attack your immune system, destroy it and by so doing you're open and to and unable to fight against incoming diseases. That's why it's called human immuno-deficiency virus because it simply makes your immune system deficient. Simple tactic yeah!?

Your immune system is made up of your white blood cells, these are the cells that fight off offending disease causing agents from your body. HIV destroys them by entering them, taking over the production house of the cell (nucleus), then uses it to start producing many more copies of the virus (HIV). When this particular white blood cell is now full of newly produced HIV cells, it bursts open and dies thereby releasing these numerous newly formed viruses into the blood stream. These new viruses go on to enter other white blood cells and the cycle continues. This is how your blood becomes filled with HIV cells after a while.

AIDS (Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is the end stage of HIV infection. At this point the virus has succeeded in destroying the white blood cells by using them to produce millions of itself in the blood stream, leaving your white blood cells (immune system) weak and unable to fight off diseases which will then overwhelm the body and kill it eventually.

However, HIV dosen't just enter the white blood cells like that without help. It NEEDS the help of a certain substance called CCR5 protein found on the surface of our white blood cells. It is only when the HIV virus binds to this CCR5 protein that it can successfully enter the white blood cell to use it and destroy it Ultimately. Without this protein, it cannot enter and therefore that individual cannot be infected.

Some people have a genetic mutation in them that resulted in the absence of this CCR5 protein. So they're actually born without the CCR5 protein on the surface of their white blood cells, hence they can't be infected with the virus. What a luck!

This is one place where a genetic mutation is actually very much helpful, don't you agree?�

It's important to note however, that infection with HIV isn't a death sentence as some have erroneously assumed. People living with the virus can still lead normal happy lives so long they adhere daily to their medications. Please DO NOT discriminate against them!
