Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has nominated 14 new commissioners-designate and seven special advisers.

In the same vein, the governor appointed (his son) Mr. Babajide Akeredolu as the Director General, Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).

The commossioner nominees are as follows:

That same man who deployed all his political machineries at just one attempt to give you victory over what you've attempted and failed to achieve on 3 different occasions, does not according to my own philosophy, deserve these type of repeated senseless and idiotic treatment from you under whatever guise.

You're now behaving as if you're a "Self Made" Your Fulani compatriots who couldn't make you president at 3 different attempts are now the only ones so qualified to occupy every important positions in your myopic and retrogresive regime ...

Within your first 4 years of victory, rather than celebrate and appreciate your benefactors, you disparaged the brains behind your victory, you see them as competing with you in the corridors of power, forgetting that you couldn't be in that office without their support.

You had issue with your benefactor being addressed as National Leader of the party he laboured to organise to give you victory.

You that could not answer the simplest and the most elementary questions on how to fix the nation's economy, but your divisive and ethnocentric brain can arrive at how those who gave you 5% votes can not be treated as those that gave you 95% votes, while those who gave you votes are waging war against the country through insurgency which your government branched with banditry, you remain unapologetic about throwing cash and other national resources, most of which are generated from the south at them, but when those with 5% are angrily drumming for secession to leave the cow country for you and your untouchable brothers, and suddenly! suddenly!! like Daniel Oladapo Oyebanjo would say, you are able to deploy those sophisticated firepower which you and your fellow hypocritical supporters across the country had always claimed were not capable of quelling the fire of insurgency and banditry which your Northwestern brothers and cousins are burning the country with.

#100DAYSINOFFICE: GOV AKEREDOLU FLAGS OFF DIGITAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

•3000 Unemployed Graduates To Participate

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has flagged off a Digital Training Programme tagged “Ondo-engage” for 3000 unemployed graduates in the state.

The flag-off ceremony was part of the activities marking the first 100 days of the Governor’s second term in office.

The training programme is organised by Ondo State Government through the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) in partnership with Envivo Communications Limited and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The training, which will last for nine months, will be focused on digital economy.

The participants will be paid monthly stipend throughout the period of the training and get Laptops and subscription.

Governor Akeredolu said one of the major ways to address Nigeria’s insecurity and other socio-economic challenges is through the dignified engagement and empowerment of the youthful population.

He noted that building the digital skills of the young graduates will go a long way to equip them with relevant skills for IT jobs.

“Undoubtedly, ICT has turned the world into a global village as it has assisted in automating government processes; using technology to solve common problems in the society; entrepreneurship development; proffering digital solution to problems of unemployment, insecurity and economic challenges; improving production.

“It is in realization of the importance of digital education that our administration decided to partner ENVIVO Communications Limited, leveraging on the various CBN funding initiatives such as the Creative Industry Financing Initiative (CIFI).

“Since the inception of our administration, we have made a lot of progress in the implementation of our ICT Drive through the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) amongst which are: implementation of State Integrated Financial Management System (SIFMIS); conduct of digital training programme for 218 teachers, 270 secondary students, over 350 unemployed youths and 62 entrepreneurs from the three senatorial districts of the State;

“Upgrading and recalibrating of Permanent Residency Card, also known as Kaadi Igbeayo; about 12,000 pregnant women have so far registered under the programme; Establishment of Akure Tech Hub, FUTA, for Ondo Central and signing of MoU for OkitipupaTech Hub, OAUSTECH, Ondo South;

“Automation of revenue collection to improve revenue generation for the State; management and control of utility infrastructure for improved revenue generation and creating of a friendly environment for investors in the state;

"Procurement of ICT services and equipment for effective service delivery; Digital Village Projects in five locations within the State for continuous digital skills acquisition; and installation of dedicated 155 MBPS Broadband internet service to all MDAs, etc," he said.

Arakunrin Akeredolu disclosed that after the training programme, ENVIVO Communications Limited in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will ensure entrepreneurship opportunities for the trainees, through creation of credit windows.

He added that the gesture will engender employment and wealth thereby ensuring peace and stability in the State.

The Governor said: “At the end of this training programme, it is our expectation that most of the challenges being faced by the unemployed graduates will be drastically addressed.

Earlier, the Chairman of the State Information Technology Agency, Mr Olumbe Akinkugbe, said the participants will be drawn from the three senatorial districts of the state, adding that 1000 participants will be trained from each district.

He disclosed that the Governor Akeredolu administration’s desire is to use Information Technology to drive an accelerated social and economic development in the state across all sectors, including healthcare, education , new jobs opportunities among others.

•Says Security Outfit Not For Battle Against Any Ethnic Nationality

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has declared that efforts to empower and strengthen the State Security Network, Amotekun Corps, was not a battle against any ethnic nationality in the country.

Governor Akeredolu said the existence of Amotekun is rather an uncompromising approach to deal with the forces against the unity of the country and well-being of the people.

The Governor spoke on Tuesday at the official commissioning of the Administrative Headquarters and Control Centre of Amotekun Corps at Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.

The new headquarters houses a control room equipped with all necessary gadgets where situation reports are collated and transmitted to the approved channels of the security agency.

Governor Akeredolu expressed delight in Amotekun’s initiative of combining local and artificial intelligence to raise capacity in the fight against crime which has assumed a worrisome dimension.

“I am confident of the continued cooperation among our security agencies in the bid to continue to secure the lives and properties of the people. This I believe would be jointly carried out with Amotekun commanders in other States in the geopolitical zone. I wish to reassure you of my support,” he said.

Arakunrin Akeredolu added that the new edifice was a symbol of his administration’s desire and irrevocable commitment to the ideals that were sworn to at the launch of Amotekun initiative sometimes in January 2020 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

“You will agree with me that the challenges we have faced since then has heightened and has become morally necessary to ensure that our men are not just physically fit but mentally balanced to interpret signals as they receive from the various flashpoints.

“It is with this in mind that I wish to enjoin all stakeholders in and out of the State to give the required support to the Agency and other security agencies as they collectively assist us in the realisation of the 6th Goal of the REDEEMED agenda which focuses on the Maintenance of Law and Order through Adequate Security,” he said.

The Governor thanked the people of the Sunshine state for their understanding and cooperation in obeying laws and regulations guiding the movement of motorcycles.

He noted: “The inconveniences are worth it in the end when viewed against the negative consequences that disobedience attracts.”

He, however, solicited the cooperation of the indigenes of the State in the Diaspora to assist his administration in terms of funds and crime-fighting equipment in order to protect the state’s heritage and bequeath a peaceful and safe place to the next generation.

The event was attended by members of the State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun; Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu; and other members of the state executive council; Traditional rulers led by the Chairman of the state council of Obas, Oba Fredrick Obateru, Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom; Heads of Security Agencies, Amotekun Commanders in Ekiti, Osun and Ogun states among other dignitaries.

Just coming in.... The minister for Humanitarian Affairs says that the reason some applicants scored high but were not selected was as a result of their geographical locations. She further stated that.... Applications were considered base on scores nd population for the first stream. She said, if The population of applicant's of an area overs the specific number of 1000 In local government A. Only those who scored 70% to 100% will be selected. But if local Government B has a population that its number of applicants are less than a 1000 Applicants. If even an applicants of N-power scored 0% or 35% he or she can still be selected so as to balance the needed number DAT is expected to meet in the programme. She further stated that, second stream of selection for batch C will begin on the 15/6/2021. That applications wille still be considered from 45% to 65% in the second stream of Batch C stream 2 programme. Applicants can start checking their mail box or check the N-power official site on the 15 June, 2021 while selection will last till 21June, 2021. Which physical verification for Batch C stream 2 ill commence on the 25 June, 2021 till 30 June, 2021.

As massive outrage and demand for his sacking continued on social media on Saturday, Pantami renounced his controversial comments on terrorism.

He stated that some of his past views were made out of immaturity, alleging that attacks on him by Nigerians were politically instigated.

Sentiments apart, I'm really not a fan of the compulsory NYSC program. That shouldn't have been an offence in the first place. NYSC should be optional.

I read something today which got me fed up of all this #PantamiGate. The write up was based on comparison of what Kemi Adeosun went through which led to her resignation.

For God's sake, We had our chance to defend Kemi Adeosun but we didn't. The south has the most sophisticated propagandists, media houses, columnists, social media influencers just name it. We didn't utilised all these to the best of our collective interest. Instead we worked against each other. The North used us as ponds while they struck the best deal. We helped pulled Kemi down. Yes, with the help of some bigwigs who believed Kemi came from Amosun's camp.

Come to think of it, tell me what magic the current finance minister (North) is doing? Talk about the clueless one occupying the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs who hounded the exit packages of Npower beneficiaries and laid them off even at this very challenging time for the nation.

This should be a lesson. Guide what you have jealously.
