mrrandomguy: Hehehehe. The same south that some people believe others are dot in a circle? The last thing anyone should be preaching now is Southern unity. It’ll be very hard to achieve. The two major tribes down south that ought to work together are always at each other’s throats. Maybe not them but their political supporters 5 Likes |

How will the court do that? Would they go to Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide to enforce this order? How do they want to seize all the copies? 63 Likes 3 Shares |

This bill won’t fly. Modifications must be made. Nigeria is too big to be run by one man. Where’s the regional government bill they were screaming some months ago? You must carry everyone along else your work no go show. 3 Likes |

nairalanda1: Taxes that end up servicing the political class and a few of their cronies? The taxation system in Nigeria is a means to fund the luxury lifestyle of our politicians and not to benefit the people. All the taxes that we’ve been paying all these years what have they done with the little as you call it? |
Politics / Re: Top 10 Exported & Imported Products In 9 Months, 2024 (Jan - Sept) by Sheuns(m): 7:55am On Dec 10 |
Put the figures in dollars. I’ve always said that we make more forex in export than we use in import. This clearly shows it. Our politicians loot all the forex dry causing the value of the Naira to plummet. We were able to have lower Naira rates during PDP years because they were lesser thieves when compared to APC. 1 Like 1 Share |

nairalanda1: Taxes don’t grow countries. Proper management of resources and revenue do. There are countries that collect zero tax and they’re doing fine. Nigerian politicians tax everyone and everything directly and indirectly and loot all the proceeds. 1 Like |

“It is very easy to destroy but difficult to build, the various reforms being rolled out are meant to rebuild the destroyed Nigeria by previous administrations.” This same man was a minister in Buhari’s cabinet. The same reforms Buhari did for 8 years because past administrations destroyed Nigeria is what Tinubu is doing again. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Iya Ilaro And Her Talks On Igbos In Ogun State...how True Is This ? by Sheuns(m): 7:46am On Dec 09 |
You carry you family land and property sell to highest bidders. They buy from you, you still ask them to pay owo omo onile, oba, etc, they do. When they start lording over you in your so called land you start getting angry forgetting that you sold those properties to them willingly out of greed and lack of foresight to make good use of them. You lavish all the money realized on owambe and faaji and you return to square zero after a few months. So far this pattern continues, you have no right to tell anyone to go back to his state or region. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

ayoolataiwo: You lie. Never was there a time crude sold for as high as 150$ a barrel, the highest price is $147.5 a barrel and that was for just few months. Between 2015 and 2023 Crude sold for an average of $64 a barrel. It went as high as $100 a barrel in 2022. What did APC and Buhari do with money made from crude sales. 1 Like |

muykem: 1. Many more students were able to go to university during other presidents tenure. 2. Many states still owe salaries and struggle to pay even the old minimum wage. 3. FCT took a new look under President Obasanjo all thanks to El Rufai. 4. There’s no past president that didn’t work on federal roads since 1999. Obj, Yaradua, Jonathan, Buhari. 5. Ease of getting passport isn’t achievement. During Buhari’s era, a friend got his passport in Katsina in under two weeks. 6. The country is in more debt than ever before. 7. Nigeria’s foreign reserves have hit over $70bn during Objs tenure. All these you listed aren’t achievements. 3 Likes |
