Every industry or sector dependency on how flexible they can be differs and not based on individualism. Take for instance, there are a lot of times between Q1-Q3( i.e Jan-August) that those airlines will have to fuel their airplanes to fly even with just 20 or less than 50 passengers on board. An airline is not like bus terminal that they will wait until the bus is full before they embark on a journey. Once time their time on the tarmac is due, they either fly or cancel flight.. and considering it's the same quantity of fuel, the same fees, salaries, maintenance and mandatory regulatory charges they will use to fly less than 50 passengers is the same they will use to fly a fully booked flight, you can imagine what it must be like. And now that it's holiday season,they have the chance to recoup some of those looses to offset their balance sheet. Remember they are also in the business for profit and not public charity. They aren't actually forcing everyone to fly, it simply means during festivities period, this what we are charging, not because they are greedy but they also have been cutting looses for the past 8-9months.

Why can’t the airlines reduce ticket fees so they don’t fly near empty planes during those periods you mentioned?

They blamed scarcity of jet fuel before but since Dangote refinery came on board, we’ve not heard them mention scarcity.

What is the real reason why a flight from Lagos to Abuja that used to cost less than 50k suddenly went up as high as 150-200k for a one way trip?

The problem is all of you have your eyes on oil money. Even the merit thing you speak of is government job. Not going to set up company to make stuff . All of you Nigerians irrespective of whatever tribe you belong to want to prosper by selling imported stuff. Or selling raw materials and agric products . Not using them to develop stuff.

Also most of you Nigerians sabotage your power companies by not paying for power. Tell me, how will the power companies earn money to fix things? So that you can have energy to move forward? But no, na poverty. Even in aba, people are shouting poverty up and down about aba power electricity bills. I guess that when the company loses money , electricity too will become problematic. But hey, we are poor!

Even tax, in your monoethnic states, when governor wants to increase tax to gdp of the state, all of you will say profound things like you can't tax your way to prosperity. O ma SE o. Then you complain when the inevitable happens and borrowing worsens.

Until y'all stop believing in the myth that we have enough resources to live on and we start using our resources to develop ourselves and to develop things the world needs, whether we divide or not, we will be broke ass poor and we will always have tinubus ruling over us.

If South Korean leaders since 1953 didn’t think and do what will benefit the people they serve, would they be here today? Same goes for China.

Lagos State Water Corporation may not supply water continuously but does on a continual basis to some areas. For example Surulere has water supply, so people pump into tanks when available.

Some estates have their own water. The Water Treatment plant in Aja supply some estates but I think it has been down for some time.

What I can't understand is when boreholes become an achievement. Boreholes close to the toilets within the same house may not be healthy unless treated.

Pls mention the areas of surulere that have water supplies?
