Visiting a private hospital will cost you that much. Go to General Hospital Lagos on broad street, they have good urologists there, and it wouldn't cost you more than a 6th of that amount for surgery[/quote]
HealthPlease read my story and recommend a good urologist or urology Hospital by shiffi(op): 7:53am On Oct 14, 2017
Good morning guys, please I need some one to help recommend a good urologist or hospital that has good urologist in Lagos or Abuja. I did a Vericocele surgery at jolad hospital in gbagada early this year, since then it has been one complication to another to the extent I had Epididymo-orchitis and hydrocele. I went to another hospital, did some tests and scans, I was given antibiotics for the Epididymo-orchitis. The pain stopped and according to the doctor my urinalysis says the infection is cleared, the swelling and turgidity is still there in my testes along with the hydrocele, doctor said I need another surgery. The catch now is how am I sure there won't be stories this time and complications again, also the cost of the surgery at this hospital is 600k plus. Don't wonna spend that kinda money and be told stories again, please guys if you can recommend a good hospital with good urologist I will be highly grateful. Thank you all

PoliticsBREAKING: 21 INEC Resident Commissioners Reject Postponement Of Elections by shiffi(op): 7:09pm On Feb 07, 2015
Twenty one Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs, of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have rejected a proposal to postpone Nigeria’s general elections billed for February 14 and 28.
In a vote conducted Saturday by the INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega, after he met with political parties and the civil society, 21 RECs said the elections should continue as planned while 16 others voted in support of a reschedule.
Nigeria has 37 RECs, each for a state and the Federal Capital, Abuja.
The outcome of the vote came as Nigerians await INEC’s decision on whether the elections are moved or not.
Civil Society leaders said Mr. Jega had told them at their meeting that the commission was under pressure to postpone the polls after all security agencies, including the military and the police, warned that they will only support polls held at least six weeks after the current dates.
Jibrin Ibrahim, a senior fellow at the Centre for Democracy and Development, CDD, in Abuja, who was at the meeting, said Mr. Jega told the meeting that security operatives told INEC that they were commencing a six weeks special operations against Boko Haram insurgents in the north eastern corridors of the country and would rather not be distracted by the elections.
Mr. Jega announced that the security forces also said the operations are due to commence on February 14, the date INEC had planned for the presidential and federal legislative elections.
Earlier, 17 political parties out of the total 28 voted in support of an extension.
The opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected any plan to postpone the election saying such calls are sponsored by President Goodluck Jonathan and the ruling party to stave their imminent defeat at the polls.
It is not clear what the commission’s eventual decision would be with the latest voting pattern by the RECs.
Mr. Jega is expected to brief the media any moment from now.
PoliticsElection 2015 Postponement: INEC Close To Caving To Pressure by shiffi(op): 3:58am On Feb 07, 2015
In a press statement released today, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) opened the door to the possibility of postponing general elections that are currently scheduled to hold on February 14 and 28, 2015.
A high-level source at INEC told a correspondent of SaharaReporters that the commission’s chairman, Attahiru Jega, had been rattled by pressure from the Presidency and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, and was now open to a possible postponement of the elections.
At a charged meeting of the National Council of States that held in Abuja yesterday, Mr. Jega had argued firmly that his commission was ready and committed to conducting the elections on the current schedule. However, the INEC source disclosed that the electoral chairman had been disquieted by the seeming determination of President Goodluck Jonathan’s close associates to force a postponement in the face of dwindling prospects for the incumbent president’s re-election.
“Even though Professor Attahiru Jega wants to hold the elections as scheduled, he has seen that even some of his senior officials have been bought by the Presidency and are singing a different tune,” said our INEC source.
Our INEC source added that Mr. Jega “feels some of the forces at the Presidency and within INEC may be trying to sabotage the election in order to rubbish his reputation. So he has now decided to call all the stakeholders to a meeting to discuss whether to postpone or not.”
A statement released today by INEC read, “On Thursday, February 5, 2015, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega, was invited to brief the National Council of States (NCS) on the preparedness of INEC to conduct the 2015 general elections. He made a presentation titled ‘Preparations for the 2015 General Elections: Progress Report.’ The National Security Adviser (NSA) and Armed Services Chiefs also briefed the Council on the current security situation.
“As a follow-up to that meeting, the Commission has scheduled a consultative meeting with chairmen and secretaries of all registered political parties, as well as a meeting with the Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
“Thereafter, the Commission will address a press conference to brief the nation on its decision with regard to whether or not the general elections will hold as currently scheduled.”
PoliticsSoyinka Offers Buhari Cautious Endorsement, Dismisses Jonathan’s Re-election by shiffi(op): 3:38am On Feb 07, 2015
Nobel Prize Winner Wole Soyinka on Friday offered presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari qualified support of his quest, as he rejected President GoodluckJonathan’s claims to re-electability.
“The clock of Change cannot tick sufficiently fast,” he said with just one week to the election, but warned that Nigeria faced a difficult and queer challenge.
“There are no blacks and whites,” he pronounced. “It is not a contest between saints and demons, not one between salvation and damnation. If anything, it is closer to a fork in the road where uncertainty lurks - whichever choice is made.”
He questioned where the hopes of a Buhari presidency may lead, in view of the resentment of his previous leadership with its record of “grievous assaults against Nigerian humanity, with a landscape of broken lives that continues to lacerate collective memory.”
He wondered whether Nigeria could hope, in that regard, that the All Progressives Congress candidate could be held to have been politically “born-again”?
“It is pointlessly, and dangerously provocative to present General Buhari as something that he probably was not,” Soyinka wrote. “It is however just as purblind to insist that he has not demonstrably striven to become what he most glaringly was not, to insist that he has not been chastened by intervening experience and – most critically - by a vastly transformed environment – both the localized and the global.”
In that consideration, he recalled that Nigerians have been deceived before, drawing attention to an unnamed “former ruler,” who, having been presumed to have been “purged and transformed by a close encounter with death, and imprisonment, has turned out to be an embodiment of incorrigibility on several fronts, including a contempt for law and constitution.”
Soyinka, who was most probably alluding to President Olusegun Obasanjo, asked in the case of Buhari, “Would it be different this time round?”
Calling for vigilance over Buhari’s candidature, he said, “Whatever demons got into a contestant to declare the spread of Sharia throughout the nation his life mission must be exorcised – indeed, are presumed to be already exorcised. Never again must any leader ban the discussion of democratic restoration in the public arena. Nor must we ever again witness the execution – even imprisonment! - of a citizen under retroactive laws.”
He noted Buhari’s persistence as a presidential candidate, and warned him about the debt he owes Nigeria if she took a chance on him.
“This persistent candidate seeks return, but let him understand that it can only be as a debtor to the past, and that the future cannot wait to collect,” he declared. “If this collective leap of faith is derided, repudiated or betrayed under a renewed immersion in the ambiance of power or retrogressive championing, of a resumption of clearly repudiated social directions, we have no choice but to revoke an unspoken pact and resume our march to that yet elusive space of freedom, however often interrupted, and by whatever means we can humanly muster. And if in the process, the consequence is national hara-kiri, no one can say that there had been no deluge of warnings.”
Restating the failure of Mr. Jonathan’s leadership, Soyinka posed one final question about the Sword of Damocles that hangs over Jonathan’s head in the form of his abandonment of the Chibok girls who were abducted last April.
“If you had received news of your daughter’s kidnapping, how long would it take you to spring to action?” he asked of Mr. Jonathan. “Instantly? One day? Two? Three? A week? Or maybe TEN days?”
