Thanks for your response. I understand industries take these specs very seriously. Thats one of my main fears of not venturing into an unknown territory. If there was a way of train, i for like am. Maybe an equipment to use on the site instead of going to a lab. tripleace: I believe the best way to be sure you have this spec is for you to take random samples and go to a laboratory for analysis. Now, it is possible you will be able to make a quick look and estimate if the maize is dry or not too dry by smell, touch and breaking the corn(usually with your teeth) but this will only work for small quantities and if you bargain not too quality maize at the price of quality dried maize, you might not be able to sell at the best price and if you want to use for feed it might not be OK because it could have moulds secreting toxin that have started growing hence causing demand(even death) of livestock.
Thank you for asking. |

Thanks for your response. You are so correct about e-books, even some of those that open threads on nairaland just edit what they see on ebooks and present it as fact. I have a registration with alibaba since 2010, I have done some bit of importation but I want to now move in the other direction so as to earn forex. I have difficulty listing and getting attention with my listing. covex: Through alibaba. As a free memeber, you can still get quotes from buyers but be careful with some because they are jokers.Their product listing page is currently having issues so if you plan on registering there, you have to be patient. For you to get genuine customers on tradekey, you'll have to sign up for atleast their silver membership which cost about #220,000 so just forget about them except you have the money. Getting buyers is not as easy as all these ebook sellers paint it if not, everybody will be doing it. Its only those who have a broker or someone abroad to link them to buyers that are enjoying this trade. |

You guys should take it easy. Please how did or do you get customers? I have cocoa powder here and can have access to more but the challenge is getting customers. I have registered with tradekey and displayed my product, yet nobody don ask me how market? covex: You are the worst ILLITERATE I have ever encountered in my life. I hope you are satisfied with the spelling now fool. You didn't even answer my questions that I already have answers to. I only asked to test your knowledge about real export not informal export. Olodo exporter. When last did you give #1000 to anyone including a stranger? Why wouldn't I ask mtn to refund my money? It is not my money abi? I am not like you that has stolen money from people in exchange for an empty ebook. You are recommending Ec21 to me?. Can you afford the fees of ec21 with your kobo kobo money tree team commission?
Proudly display the picture you used on ec21 so we can can all know where you stole the picture from. If I were an official of CAC, I will make sure your certificate gets burnt because you produce nothing. Even people whose business aren't registered informally export common bonga fish via ems so what special thing are you doing you brainless m0ron?
And who told you I don't get quotes from buyers? Buyers that I keep turning down because they want to import on a very large scale which I am not ready for because I haven't learnt the trade well and want to start small. I laugh at your ignorance.
Go and tell your money tree team pple to stop scamming people with their 0% fat cocoa powder( the most inferior of anything pure)to stop stealing peoples money, selling 2kg for 8400 when others are selling for lesser amount. Don't worry about me because by the time I'm done learning all the tricks,I'll invest my money wisely and I'll be dealing with an export of 100kg upwards and not 25kg export that you have been doing simply because you lack the capacity, knowledge and integrity to expand. Are you sure of this? Is there a particular brand to look out for or are they brand less? turawafett: Nigeria rice is available in most market where they sell rice in bulk, it's available at iddo market, Mushin market etc here in Lagos @ 13,000 looks more like imported rice, people don't patronize the rice, they give excuses that the rice is not sweet. The rice gum together when cooked etc. That Is the reason why you don't see it everywhere, people that resell prefers to buy what they can sell quickly so as to restock.
We need to change our orientation. |

I am not a professional but from what I know, rice can grow almost everywhere in Nigeria, you may have to research how to handle the birds. I recently got a suggestion of spreading out nets above the rice when they are about 1 month old. You can also used loud sounds and scare crows to drive them away. whizdame: 3 hectares and that why I asked for professional help |

Good job all contributors. I stumbled on a fact that they eat grounded beans over the weekend (i mean the ones used for moi moi or akara). How did I discover, madam wanted to make moi moi but for one reason or the other after grinding the beans could not make it. If you know beans very well, if you don't attend to them, they get sour and begin to smell. Rather than throw it away I decided to give them a little, came back a few minutes later and it was gone, I wasn't sure if I put it again, I decided to put more just to be sure i was not hallucinating because the speed was too much, same thing happened again. Now since i was denied my moi moi, my snails enjoyed a part of it pending when they repay the favor.

Option 2 looks like a nice one. Who does the milling? ishayaauta: Get a car heading to sokoto state, from there board the car heading to alieru... We have vast land here, to get a better deal you can chose any of the following method: 1. Meet with different local farmers and bargain with them, agree to pick their produce in the field this of cause will cot down their cost.... and is surely cheaper 2. Meet trust worthy farmers lease a land keep an assistant on site they will handle your farm but they will get a percentage when you harvest...hmmm if you have patience and a trust worthy steward why not 3. Invest in some one with a vision in agric (risky but its worth it), sign a m.o.u that puts 94% of the risk on him, make sure its a five to ten year contract. ensure the person have a business plan with growth/feasibility sturdy... know the persons family and he most have a guarantor. this makes you like an angel investor. |

Nairaland General › Re: Nigeria’s Economy Still Largest In Africa Despite Recession –IMF by shiftmarket(m): 3:47pm On Oct 21, 2016 |
So opponents can now see why the 2014-2016 making nigeria a leading economy translates to nothing if the common man on the streets does not feel the effect, irrespective of the government in power. A new report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) puts Nigeria back as Africa’s biggest economy, ahead of South Africa, and Egypt.
In August, South Africa was reported to have regained top spot on the continent, following the recalculation of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The IMF’s World Economic Outlook for October, however, has Nigeria’s GDP for 2016 some distance ahead of South Africa at an estimated $415.08 billion, from $493.83 billion in 2015.
South Africa’s GDP is put at $280.36 billion, down from $314.73 billion in 2015. The country is expected to achieve a GDP figure of $288.199 billion in 2017, versus $413.685 billion for Nigeria.
When measuring GDP per capita however, South Africa – with a population of around 55 million people – is way ahead of it sub-Saharan counterpart, at $5,018 in 2016.
Nigeria, which has a population of approximately 185 million, has a GDP per capita at current prices, of $2,260 in 2016.
Both countries have seen their GDP per capita decline since 2015, when South Africa was at $5,726, and Nigeria at $2,763.
Nigeria’s GDP is expected to contract 1.7% in 2016, but is expected to recover from recession in 2017, growing at 0.6% in 2017, and 3.3% in 2021.
According to the IMF, South Africa is expected to remain flat at o.1% growth in 2016.
“In Nigeria, economic activity is now projected to contract 1.7% in 2016, reflecting temporary disruptions to oil production, foreign currency shortages resulting from lower oil receipts, lower power generation, and weak investor confidence,” the IMF said.
“In South Africa, where policy uncertainty is making the adjustment to weaker terms of trade more difficult, GDP is projected to remain flat in 2016, with only a modest recovery next year as the commodity and drought shocks dissipate and power supply improves,” it said.
The IMF said that South Africa’s economy is still grappling with the decline in commodity prices, over a quarter of the workforce is unemployed, and the outlook is clouded by policy uncertainty and political risks.
“A comprehensive structural reform package that fosters greater product market competition, more inclusive labor market policies and industrial relations, and improved education and training, as well as reducing infrastructure gaps is critical to boost growth, create more jobs, and reduce inequality.
“Measures to improve state-owned enterprises’ efficiency and governance, including through greater private participation, are a particularly important element of the needed reform package to lift growth prospects and reduce contingent fiscal risks. While some of these reforms may take time to yield positive growth effects, immediate benefits can stem from improved confidence and signaling of policy consistency,” it said. http://businesstech.co.za/news/finance/140681/nigeria-overtakes-south-africa-as-africas-biggest-economy/ |
