Amalekki:You saw them too? I saw Davido, Tiwa Savage and Madam Alakija also trying to pay their rent. Even Oba of Lagos was there earlier begging to avoid rent increase ![]() |
Where did this misconception come from that you can't help build Nigeria if you japa? Facts on ground has shown that those who japa are at the very top of the chart in building Nigeria. Among the nations where remittances flow consistently inwards, Nigeria sits very close to the top. Most small businesses running in Nigeria are financed by japa family members abroad. Most emergency funds for healthcare, education, travel etc in many Nigerian homes are from those who japa. We have the fact right there in front of us but we love to tell each other lies. Only few families with people in government and some key sectors can comfortably survive today without japa input. That is the naked truth. I belong to at least 3 large alumni whatsapp groups and I know what is going on there in terms of building and support. |
I like Baba o but I give am just around 4 weeks before he japa go rest abroad for at least 2 weeks. If na France, Baba go spend at least 3 weeks jollificating away from Naija stress. In this case, if your family no get very strong financial base for Nigeria and you have technical skills na "Do as I do o, no be do as I say" ![]() |
datola:People are vandalizing rail tracks so they can sell the materials. It's as simple as that. It's the wickedness of our people that is happening. |
"Vandalism, including rail track theft and sabotage of signalling equipment, also continues to disrupt operations and raise safety concerns across the network." It is hard to make real progress in a place where we have too many hardened hearts. These people have zero conscience and will do anything for money. There is poverty in several other nations but people still maintain the dignity of human life. |
To those bellyaching over this, no one is stopping you from promoting your preferred candidate for presidency. It is democracy and it’s not limited to your bedroom or your village so there will be diverse preferences for various reasons. If your reason is your hunger, that’s fine but let others be. |
Claiming to be from the SS is an act of cowardice. It is okay to display your hypocrisy with pride instead of this embarrassment. Kalashnikov49: |
blackgold2018:What if he was just saying it as it is without any polished political correctness? |
All I know is all those able-bodied grown men screaming like lunatics in front of Alaafin and Ooni must be drafted into the Army or Amotekun to fight. That nonsense must stop, no one is fooled. Even Kiss Daniel's bouncer and Bolanle Ninolowo must be drafted. No more wasting of muscles here. |
lagonovo:Simple arithmetic o, nothing to add ![]() |
Arsenal gave their very best. You can't give what you don't have and it's okay to punch above your weight level once in a blue moon. Season is over, let them be. |
Seyi Makinde is not in APC. Penguin2: |
Life secret: Focus your time and energy only on what you can change. Every starting point comes with pros and cons. It is never about your situation but what you do about it. There are many with similar starting point as Davido but they move in and out of drug rehabs or are still collecting feeding allowance at 40 and there are folks from remote villages sitting at the top today. You have no excuse. |
On MURIC man's mandate we shall stand. MURIC lokan. |
BrickandLace:Neither Tinubu nor Makinde should be blamed squarely. It is joint responsibility but Makinde should have been more proactive. He did not prioritize the security warnings around the axis where we now have the kidnapping. |
All the women that I encounter in my life always drag bills with me so I’m always the one saying no. Where are these okokomaiko Beyonces from? As in, who is the father or mother? |
chatinent:Are you surprised? They don’t want real progress so they hate him for attacking their preferred oppressor. |
Wasting energy on someone's opinion won't change Nigeria no matter how angry you get - some people are very creative with words and it might be a case of much ado about nothing . |
SixSeven:They know nothing, it's just typical stereotyping by hypocrites. |
You never heard of urgent 2k girls and short time motels? ![]() essentialone: |
Excellent development. This thread is about this good news, no smart diversion tactics will work here. |
tonididdy:Speak for yourself. As Chelsea fans we shamelessly celebrated Conference league victory over cassava farmers. Let them celebrate their progress. |
He won the individual award, or you missed the headline of this thread? He won and your likes started complaining then the evidence has been provided that you don't have to win any trophy to win individual awards. Your Kante example counted for nothing. The precedence was clearly established. Simple flow of logic ![]() Judolisco: |
Who was running it? Eastcoastboy: |
You made good point about mass communication opportunities but you don't need a mass comm degree to build that. Nairaland was conceptualized and developed by an IT guy with engineering background. Sowore built Sahara Reporters but studied Geography and Planning. Rufai Oseni studied Animal Husbandry. There are many more Eastcoastboy: |
Judolisco:It boosted Bruno's individual stats and won him an individual award ![]() |
Judolisco:Why did Gareth Bale win it in 2012/13 and Mohammed Salah in 2017/18 when Tottenham and Liverpool won nothing? There are many more Maybe you should go and ask those responsible for the awards but I doubt they give a sht about your opinion. They are clear it's an individual award not a trophy won by a team. |
Judolisco:For his goals and assists including those in their victory over the teams that came 1st and 2nd, among other attributes. FACT! |
Judolisco:No but that performance adds to Bruno's numbers as contributing fact to back up this well deserved individual award as player of the season. Shikena. |
Judolisco:.... but Man United whooped you at home, orchestrated by the same Bruno - this is an award honoring individual performance. |
PDPdestroyer:Thank you my brother from my side. You have said exactly what many of us wanted to but we couldn't come out straight. I see no reason why we can't have deep sea port in Onitsha or Anam, the water there are deep enough. |
Local politics is about structures and caucuses. I heard he could have had way more votes but news started spreading around every coty in Oyo that Tinubu's Chief of Protocol, Victor Adeleke, and his team were physically in Ibadan with Sharafa Alli. That's the final confirmation that people needed and many switched over. InvertedHammer: |
