maasoap: I enjoyed your unbiased contribution. I'm for polygamy but if it doesn't work out, I'm equally open to adoption. I have been thinking about the two in recent time. I want kids in my house for as long as I can train and handle them This is exactly one of the things that I preach. Most of our people simply can't think outside the box. Adoption is underrated. Most of our people forget that adoption is official and unofficial. My parent's house till today is loaded with children & young adults. We grew up having all sorts of people in the house at one point or the other. When we left, our parents never stopped bringing in one or two to live with them. It's a generational culture. |

In my opinion people just have to broaden their minds and horizon.
Stop thinking that your happiness comes from others. Find happiness from within and that's what understanding and embracing solitude is all about. Learn solitude from early days, embrace it and thrive in it.
If you are easily bored then you are not deep enough. Stay still and dig deep or else old age will be tough even if you are surrounded by 20 people. The history of life is loaded with mastery of the art of solitude. It makes everything fun in a quiet way! |

You are a fool. This is exactly why we always tell every ethnic group to stop protecting or defending their own criminals. You shoud address the root not the fallout.
Passively or actively defending a ritualist from Osun, a drug pusher from Anambra or a murderer from Yenagoa is license for a terrorist bandit from Damaturu to get "craftily" endorsed in the name of victimization.
Stop this morally corrupt behavior. |

He is right about official salary but has no clue how embassies work if his focus is on money.
Most diplomats, not to talk of Ambassadors, don't spend shishi of their personal money on anything while abroad. Estacode on a single diplomatic visit to another city or concurrent accreditation is more than their monthly official salary and most Ambassadors are always moving for that reason. Any visit to your location by the president or even a minister or governor is goldmine. Consular activities also have some perks here and there.
If you are posted to a country of real economic value, you are surely going to be a partner with some major investors if you succeed in getting them to do business with or in Nigeria. That's why many former Ambassadors are on the board of most foreign investment companies in Nigeria. Only career Ambassadors have limitations with that. |

Osgilliat: He sold a house that would have worth 150m in 3 to 5 years for 60m to relocate to UK of all places. He will soon understand life in UK. Truly, some people are born to suffer. Who knows. N60m today was over US$160,000 some years ago as I vividly recall. Today it's just around US$40,000. Decisions like this are not always about face value of cash. Other factors come into play. Above all, we all have different individual risk appetite. |

benardtotti: Sadly Nigerians are set in their ways , even if you decide to teach people for free how to make these type of investments you listed , they will still choose to japa with that sum of money.
I have a friend who was in Canada, sold his late dads farm assets up to 150m , left his family in Canada, but stayed back in nigeria to build financial assets and keeps shouting how glad he is that he took that decision. The guy is making bank monthly. There are thousands of Nigerians abroad who are quietly growing their financial portfolio in Nigeria without having to touch it for several years. Nigerians are smarter than kids here think. The person that sold N60m property may have sold other assets and made some key investments while exploring the abroad option. We may not have the full story. |

Very accurate. Even in the diaspora community in the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland etc, you could see this very clearly. lagonovo: Yes, Yorubas are the dons of real and legit business in Nigeria. From Ijebus, to Eko Aketes, to Egbas, to Oyos, to Ijeshas, Ondos, Ogbomosos, Ifes, Aworis, Eguns etc, it's a long history of trade and commerce spanning the coast and hinterland of West Africa and mostly based on integrity and strong values. Effortless trading, no do or die . |

Tjra: Now I see why they envy Yorubas. No kidding. Yorubas have always been well structured and they are among the civilizations with early departure from the disorderly lifestyle closer to lower animals. They had proper system of leadership and governance, backed by proper military structure. Too bad a chunk of the newer generation have mixed with the wrong crowd, and are now drifting back to the style of lower animals. |

Based on his utterances, the undiluted truth is that Nnamdi Kanu does not rate Peter Obi one bit. Peter Obi is well aware of that fact. stuffs2002: Peter had the importunity to caution Nnamdi Kanu when he went berserk but he chose to keep quiet and watched Kanu ran amork now that his sins have caught up with him Obi is now taking.
Where was Peter Obi when Kanu was inciting his IPOB people kill security personnel or does Obi think those killed do not have family members that were thrown into deep mourning and suffering |
