Warren Buffet is almost 100,he takes 2 cans of coke everyday!
You are right, he actually takes 5 cans in total daily and eats like a 6 year old.

However, here is another useful information:

According to the CDC and the American Diabetes Association:
"Black adults are approximately 60% more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes than white adults."

This is not just for you at individual level, it is also critical for the economic well-being of families in a country where majority are relying on their children as retirement plan. Please have mercy on the younger generation, and younger generation should please have mercy on your unborn children.

The global population is much larger and competition is higher, cost of healthcare is a huge burden and should only be for unavoidable health conditions. Self-inflicted or avoidable health issues should be avoided via healthy habits. Above all, the pain is not desirable.

Reduce the sugar indulgence, stop inhaling filth in the name of smoking, and stop drinking undiluted ogogoro if you must drink. Be disciplined!

We just like telling ourselves lies in this country even when the truth is staring straight at us.

Peller is right on this one.
Totally agree with you. He is also a beggar and he is right. The truth is bitter.
CelebritiesRe: “Yoruba People Beg A Lot” — Peller Faces Backlash Over Controversial Remarks by Shikena(m): 3:28pm On Mar 28
I am Yoruba and I totally agree with him. We have totally pooped on our value system with shameless begging and many of our people today even mock those working diligently.

The truth is bitter by nature and design. Atelewo eni ki tan ni je.
Ise loogun is.
Oruko rere o San ju wura ati fadaka lo.
We have rubbished all these Omoluabi sayings over the years.

Peller himself is a prime example of this decadence, he is a beggar. Yet, it was shocking to see video clips of a young boy harassing him for money in a core traditional Yoruba city like Oyo. Someone like that will have no problem switching to kidnapping and armed robbery.

It is not too late for Yorubas but we should not allow the dishonest ones destroy our values. Unfortunately, most of our palaces are now in the hands of fraudsters and people of weak character with zero integrity.

Noodles those days. I always use just one third of the seasoning due to the salt content. Makes sense with lots of vegetables & salmon.

Just dey watch them dey laff. Another one mentioned 350k per month for accommodation. Most of these guys are squatters or still living with their parents. They have not seen real life yet.

Real life will teach you the basics that you need for comfortable living, and the differences between basic comfort and full comfort.

LordBiden:
Funny nairalanders.

See everyone mentioning between 500k to millions?

A country where most governors are struggling to implement ordinary 70k minimum wage.

Since all of you are big boys and big girls,I think it is safe to say tinubu is doing well.
PoliticsRe: Hamzat, Yayi, Alli May Emerge APC Consensus Gov Candidates by Shikena(m): 12:08pm On Mar 24
Ali might get the ticket in Oyo by consensus. Aside his strong base in Ibadan, he has worked hard behind the scenes reaching out to key stakeholders in Ibarapa, Oyo, Oke-Ogun and Ogbomoso.

His cause is helped by the difficult alternatives like Adelabu and Folarin.
The major concern is his closeness to Oba Ladoja which may impact votes from Oyo and Oke-Ogun axis in a state where winning margin is always very close. However, feelers indicated that while Oyos & Oke-Oguns are justifiably aggrieved, their traditional bond with Ibadan is as strong as ever making consensus smoother in reality than on paper.

Sadly I have to agree with you on the issue of respect. The way some Yoruba people are shamelessly demarketing their Olubadan, Oluwo, Ooni and Alaafin with full chest and pride is the most disgraceful thing ever. What a wasted generation. They poop on their own heritage just to prove point.

CelebritiesRe: Peller Declared Wanted By Benin Palace. He Reacts (Video) by Shikena(m): 1:11pm On Mar 19
Let's keep in mind that officially all these empires and kingdoms are ceremonial. There are laws of the land.

Be it the two official and well-documented historical empires of Benin and Oyo, and other kingdoms with real or later day fabricated history, they do not have any legal authority beyond local laws.

The people that suffers most of this hardship are they those people that you mentioned, you think those people that buys cars worth thousands of dollar cares whether if fuel goes to 5k per litre.
Key part of owning/using a vehicle is fueling it, cars are expensive and oil, or even electricity, is not cheap.

Bottomline: Economic planning must be strategic and not piece-meal.

This debate captures the core tension in Nigeria’s current economic climate - the gap between social reality (how people live across different income levels) and market reality (how global trade works).

$7 per litre in USA

Keep blaming tinubu
This is not true.

Gas price depends on where you live. Even the price varies around you.
Gas is still less than $1 per liter for regular type in many places.

You still see less than $3 a gallon at Walmart, for example, depending on where you live.

A gallon is almost 4 liters.
Foreign AffairsRe: Khalaf Ahmad Habtoor To Trump: Who Gave You Authority To Drag Our Region To War? by Shikena(m): 1:53pm On Mar 07

Pierocash:
I think the reason America always like to go to war is simply because they don't fight the wars directly from their own soil. They use other countries as battle grounds to fight while those countries suffer collateral damages , meanwhile the main architect of the war has no single infrastructural damage in their own country.

I think if any county can develop a missile that could reach American soil directly, I believe the arrogance of US will drop. Very selfish country
But Israel is within missile range of their adversaries and that has not deterred them in any way from hitting back at anyone with no regards for human life. It's even US that cautions Israel in many cases.

Before you hit any part of the US or her defined territories, just remember Pearl Harbor and be ready for the consequences. If you have not stocked up war resources consistently for over 50 years, do not dare hit the USA. You will not survive, it's that simple.

Me too I keep wondering who gave Boko Haram authority to plunge Nigeria into their unending war. They claim to be of a specific faith.
Mr Billionaire does not care as long as he keeps making his own money peacefully in his own country Boko Haram can keep spreading the faith with good financial backing.

Mr Billionaire, abeg where were you when the UAE sponsored RSF to commit genocide against the indigenous black nubian population in Sudan? That's why I can't be bothered with the selective outrage the Arabs show towards the Israel - Palestine situation.

Most of these Arabs think the life of an average black African has no value.
Mr Billionaire is a big time hypocrite.

Let try and read the write up, not just going by the headline. The article actually make sense

“You can’t be able-bodied and just not be making money,” Marx said.
Exactly. That's the only way we can stop Nigeria from becoming Abegistan as some people are already calling our country.

How large numbers of able-bodied men and women would rather use their strength on non-productive activities or shortcuts every blessed day is unbelievable.

thomas2024:
If I know take care of my siblings, who will apart from my parents?
"Take care" while they are still dependents or in school/training. After that stage every official adult must be productive. This also applies to your children.

That is how societies grow in a sustainable way. A society loaded with parasites can't see real progress. Random empowerment and support is also good but people should build mutually-beneficial relationships with banks and cooperatives as they grow. Get business loans, pay back as agreed, then get more and pay back.
PoliticsRe: Am I your receptionist? — Gov Eno hits Critics For Saying He Doesn't Pick Calls by Shikena(m): 1:58pm On Mar 02
Some truths are actually very bitter and those who are the loudest against such truths are often the worst manifestations of those sad truths when given the opportunity.

Do your due diligence and understand the structure around a governor then identify which official assistant to reach out to. That is proper channeling.

Most of those complaining here cannot even handle 10 calls a day. I definitely cannot do 5 a day, it will affect my productivity! I have work to attend to.
