Jegheter: I can't explain my operations to u so well enough but see let me break this down. I'm a career driver who chose to drive not using driving to raise funds for whatever...... Like even wen I got funds that would make anyone walk away I didn't. D daily money structured my finances. I can't explain it. It won't make sense u have good funds in account and still driving .
D guys that worry about car depreciation iz funny to me cause pls what kind of cars do you buy? I have used severally cars bro. I can't even explain. I buy solid cars and use them and maintain them selling them you won't know iz used on ehailing. But iz an online forum iz like maybe everyone's caps that's y I said me and pearl sud see face to face and maybe he thot is fight or argument but we can sit over bottles of cold bear cause I believe wen we see will respect each other more.
I'm not looking for applause or accolades. In only share my opinions here. But if u think buying fuel of 20k and making 50k is bad business in a day for a good car that was built to drive in this days of fuel being gold then iz okay. Even calculations of depression on balance sheet being zero after some years still counts in d branch P or L cause the car that has been written off in depreciation is still physically present and infact will later be sold to bank staff way above the last figure In their books.
Bro make every body do wetin Dem sabi. As long as iz adding greens to our pockets and they are happy but you can't conclude on a bizness like you own all d models. Sometimes I laugh at assumptions of folks but iz all good.
You are right Please, what can you explain coz I kept reading I can't explain. |

Gentlelife50: I believe this because it was bolt that made uber to reduce their price, at first they were forming jagaban until bolt came into the picture. But it has its own disadvantages, they will be feeling like God. If drivers don't commit any form of irregularities, they won't get blocked or get suspended, and I believe if price is good enough, drivers won't misbehave except for the greedy ones. |

Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Shimmaa: 6:35pm On Mar 27*. Modified: 8:02pm On Mar 27 |
OAKSFIVEFARMS: How can a monopoly ever be the answer? If only that's possible, if they monopolize the market, it will be easy for the app to listen to our complaints and review the price upwards. But because of the competition, they can't do that cox they will loose riders. Let's take it back to when it was only uber, price then was so good, imagine back then when fuel was 185/l, price was higher than now that fuel price is 1350/l. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Shimmaa: 11:41am On Mar 27 |
Dabadwela: Bros it's simple
We have too much drivers on the road now, even 9-5 dey join us for this work. It's saturated and very competitive now than before. And these drivers get different motive and reason for this hustle, some just wan survive ,some dey HP and need to remit , some dey get sense while some nor get.
These apps know this and they are taking advantage of this, na to pray ,hustle get enough money and move on to another hustle Drivers being much isn't the problem, the problem is with the too many apps we have offering same service. This too many apps is giving riders the chance to jump from 1 app to the other looking for cheap fare and once they see anyone that offers cheap fares, they use that app. Assuming we have just 1 app functioning, they won't have choice looking for cheap fare. |

Like I said... After the race... We count the miles ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ *PUBLIC ADDRESS TO THE ENTIRE E-HAILING COMMUNITY*
Greetings to the ever dogged, corrosive and hard working e-hailing pilots.
After the 3 days mega shutdown of e-hailing drivers in Ogun and Lagos State, these public addresses became imperative.
The Amalgamated Union of App-Based Transporters of Nigeria Lagos state council hereby addresses the general public, e-hailing drivers, government authorities, and all industry stakeholders following the successful conclusion of the Lagos E-Hailing Mega Strike.
This strike was not an act of defiance for its own sake, it was a necessary response to sustained economic injustice and systemic neglect by ride-hailing application companies such as Bolt, Uber and indrive operating within our transport ecosystem.
It is both alarming and unacceptable that despite the scale and impact of this industrial action, the app companies have maintained complete silence. This calculated lack of response reflects a troubling pattern of disregard for the very drivers who power their platforms and generate their profits. Though the union is not surprised as this was exactly what we predicted.
We have stated clearly and without ambiguity:
1. Commission rates remain excessively high and exploitative, leaving drivers with a shrinking share of their own labor.
2. Fares remain unreasonably low, making it practically impossible for drivers to operate sustainably in the face of rising fuel prices, inflation, and vehicle maintenance costs.
3. Lack of proper profiling on riders, which has lead to killing drivers and stealing of vehicles.
4. Lack of collective bargaining, we are the ones owner of our business we deserve the right to be on the table of negotiation.
Drivers cannot and will not wait indefinitely while their livelihoods are pushed to the brink.
Let it be understood that: patience is not weakness. Restraint is not surrender. But there comes a point where continued silence from stakeholders becomes a direct provocation.
As a Union, we are now compelled to take decisive and forward-looking action to salvage the situation and protect drivers welfare.
Let it be clear that before the end of next week if, our plights are not looked into and resolved completely, We will actively mobilize drivers to transition toward any alternative platforms that are willing to engage, listen, and implement driver-centered policies. While we await the government regulatory actions were we can collectively fix a minimum operation standards for our business.
Drivers need a platform that shows readiness to accommodate fair operational standards and respect the economic realities faced by drivers.
The advantages of this shift are clear and strategic:
A fair and transparent fare system that reflects real market conditions
Significantly reduced commission structures
Restoration of driver dignity through negotiation power and autonomy
A platform model built on partnership, not exploitation
The 3 day warning strike was not merely a protest, rather; A transition away from exploitation toward sustainability. A transition from neglect to accountability.
*We urge all drivers to remain united, disciplined, and focused. Division has long been a tool used against us; unity will be the force that secures our future.*
To the app companies, this is a final window for meaningful engagement.
To the government and regulators, the time to act is now. The digital transport sector cannot continue to operate without fairness, oversight, and protection for its workforce.
*We have spoken through protest. We are now acting through direction.*
Great AUATON ✊🏻✊🏻........ United we are stronger 💪 💪
✒️Comrade Jaiyesimi Azeez aka makavelli Lagos State chairman Goodluck to them, but while they are planning to create their own app, they should also put into consideration how they will advertise to riders. All this is just a total waste of time if they actually think about it very well, what I will suggest they should look into is pushing for monopoly, in some business, competition isn't necessary. The competition in ehailing is what is killing the business, assuming is just 1 app that is operating, it will be easier for them to review prices upward and people will still make use of it coz they are the only 1 rendering the service but the moment competition is allowed, everyone of them will do anything to retain riders while riders on the other hand do not care about quality, what they are after is what is cheap. In essence, if its still possible to monopolize the market, that's the only solution to ridiculous fare. |

Kaymax2222: so the thing is many people who did it at the early stage regretted because then those doing the conversion are not yet perfect and there is little technology know how but right now I believe things have improved so do it and this is where I will advocate for Honda Civic more you can easy buy another engine before doing the installation the engine no pass 300k and if you swap with your old engine it's even less by 120k Lol |

Gentlelife50: And I met one today that was saying he didn't install CNG because many of them are regretting, that in the long run you will regret.
He was very angry and saying that they didn't tell them the disadvantages, like the engine pressure will reduce, that sometimes the korope doesn't start in the morning they will have to switch to fuel for the first start of the day, that it kills plugs and other things, that if your engine is weak you won't know because it won't allow it to smoke, he also mentioned they have to be going to rewire every now and then.
Just this afternoon as I was going to awoyaya. Same complian from people I know that converted. |

Jamie90: I want to convert too since it’s like 650k. CNG is 380 and that’s a lot of difference.
I am discouraged because of reports of few CNG stations available and I fear for queues. Also having to plan your movement around the stations selling is a lot of work too. My concern on this CNG of a thing is the after effect on the engine in the long run. It's scaring me to convert and will start having consistent issue with the engine. |

If this is true, how can they achieve that. |
