I'm talking from the experience of someone who has given people cars to drive and i now i'm driving it myself. You can sense the owner wants his car to be well maintained.

The business isn’t for someone like that cox everything is wrong with the arrangement, he should pick car in the morning and drop it in the evening. How convenient can that be for the driver?, if he so insist on that, then he should just ask for daily delivery anytime the driver comes to pick the car instead of putting all expenses on the driver.

Imagine working to pay commission of 25%, work to buy fuel of 40%, work to pay repair of let’s say 5% and all together thats 70% and the remaining 30%, someone wants to take 60% out of it haaaaa.

If you’re talking about repairs, does repair happen daily or weekly? Repairs should be something they both tend to when it happens. Maybe an agreement that says repairs of 30k & below should be done by the driver and any repair above 30k, the owner can come in with a share ratio. For instance, a repair of 100k, after deducting the 30k that the driver is supposed to solely use for the repair, the balance will be 70k so that 70k balance is what they will now use their ratio to share. It can be 50/50, 60/40 or any ratio convenient for them.

Some people are just clown, I’m sorry to say tho.

Imagine you having a target of 50k take home but in the right sense, you’re making owner to have 75,000 as his 60% so the more you work, the more money that goes to owner and someone said the owner is being reasonable.

I dont know how you will manage the 40% from Net profit sha. He owns the asset and the risks, you just need to work harder to NET HIGHER so your 40% can be huge at the end of the week/month

You’re talking about repairs, will they be doing repairs everyday for them to deduct repairs from his daily earnings or how do they intend to deduct money for repairs? Will it be done in advance and what happens to the saved money if repairs doesn’t happen during the time of agreement or if repairs exceed the saved amount.



Also, how will the owner track his earnings, or will the driver solely depend on online trips and when he gets a juicy offline trip, he should not do it coz the owner wants to track his online earnings. Also, that arrangement can never end well, it will always bring arguments and trust issues.

I don’t understand the angle you’re seeing that arrangement from but being an owner and also a driver, that arrangement is very absurd and will only end up with issues.

* Working hours: 8am–7pm
* Sunday is normally the day off.
* If you want to work on Sunday, you can take another day off during the week when you need to attend to personal matters.
* The car will be picked up from my location in the morning and returned to my location every evening.
* Payment is 40% of the net profit after agreed expenses such as fuel and repairs, while I take 60%.
* GPS tracking and proper daily/weekly accounting will be in place.

It’s actually not hard, nobody was taught how to use map, it’s self taught and straight forward. Just learn from how you miss your turns and observe how the map works, with time, you will understand it very well…

Most of these ride-hailing drivers are fools and lacking dignity. Ask them to down tool for a few days, they'd come up with all sort of pathetic excuses why they must drive to earn pittance on the apps. Bloody sods!!.

As if they are the only ones with bills to pay. I just moved into a new apartment about 3 weeks back, you know what means. In the last 2 months I have spent 1.5-odd million naira on my car in the last 2 months and still counting, Yes, I'm still counting because right at this moment I'm stuck on the side of the road with serious overheating. Can't even drive 10 minutes without the engine overheating, the power steering pump is just leaving, it's actively pouring out oil, and my AC hasn't been cooling since yesterday. But ask me to down tool, as a form of protest, against these apps right now for 2 weeks I'd gladly oblige.

We just can't continue like this. Something has been to done. It's almost October, and I have been unable to save 200k this year so far. Money wey person dey make in a week before.

If drivers can just learn how to use inDrive, believe me, all this riders will adjust, just ignore trips that doesn’t offer good price and see how the rider will willingly increase the fare.

Drivers need to just learn how to use inDrive, don’t accept nonsense price to start bargaining, leave the nonsense trips and the riders will be forced to increase once no 1 is accepting their price.

Baba, we work more than each other. For where i dey cherry-pick 15K plus trip pesin don run 2 or more trips. While they start as early as 4-5am. I no need talk too much, most people know where dem dey catch the rides wey go quick Gross/net their daily target. Its not about driving about lagos daily.

If dem tell u say people wey get 2 cylinders for boot dey e go be like say na mouth. Met a guy one time, he didnt believe that i make 60K daily after fuel until i showed him my app and calculations.

I dont even like CNG sef from my little knowledge about the stuff. But i'm willing to learn & make research

It’s never possible even if you’re using 2 cylinders, 2 cylinders of 65l can only gross you 80k and there’s no how you fill twice a day.


But on some occasions when you’re lucky or when there’s surge throughout the day, you can net 100k with your CNG but this is like 1/20 days and maybe December period, you can sustain it for 10days and this still boils down to the time on the job…

The driver I ordered said he saw Lagos this morning for 35k and he advised i go online that I may get, but after waiting 2hours+ without getting anything, I left around pass 1pm and I’m in my house now. InDrive app is empty in Ibadan, took me over 1hour before a single trip appears.

Even with ridiculous prices, there are drivers who make 100K plus daily with CNG. Me wey dey use fuel sef dey see 35K after fuel & commission if i take my normal 4-6 trips daily. Jist saving up for CNG, i no fit stress because nigerians have never been united to fight a common problem.

You’re not being realistic, to net 100k with CNG in a day, what will be the capacity of the cylinder and can full gas of the cylinder net you 100k. If not, how do you get to refill without wasting time to resume work.


Heard 5k CNG gas can gross you about 40k and 5k CNG gas is what fill up 65l cylinder so, let’s assume you’re using 100l cylinder to fill 100l will be less than 10k and 10k gas can only gross you 80k so make it make sense how can someone net 100k with CNG in a day and fill gas twice in a day.
