It’s an advantage to drivers if you’re conversant with Lagos roads. Was called yesterday around 9:30pm by my offline rider to come pick him at orchid and I got to him a little pass 11pm and we got back to Kosoko around 1am. I believe I got back before people that was inside the traffic going to same kosoko but lack of Lagos road network made them spent hours inside the traffic.

Who entered that Berger traffic today?

I know a factory in Agbara that consumes one trailer load of diesel daily just to generate electricity to power it's operations..

People said same about GTCO last IPO that they were forcing people to buy. We all know how it’s going.

GTco can’t be compared with DR, GTco has every tendency to do better in market. Do you know that a single policy from government can affect market value of DR. And with the existence of EV and solar, DR might experience low production in the nearest future. Anyway, my opinion might actually not be acccurate.

Anytime I open my inDrive app to go online, I’m always discouraged with the prices there. It’s been like 2weeks ago I did any online trip. My offline rider has been sustaining me back to back since last month and I don’t have to rely on inDrive.

Currently on a 40k ride from Ojodu Berger to laspotech in Ikorodu, to and fro. Even though I’ve been waiting for more than 3hours now, still pays me pass doing online trips.

I have this phobia for any Nigeria stock market, but this dangote unit per share is looking like a method to steal from the public coz that’s too expensive and the billionaires must have bought the larger part at lesser amount hoping to dump once it goes up thereby crashing the stock value.

The only holdup on the road was the usual traffic around Anchor University, and from that point to my place is less than 5 minutes.

Are you also aware that BRT from there to my bus stop is 690 naira, while the public bus fare is 1,000? So paying 9,500 for the trip is now considered greed?

You all talk as if the driver was doing me a favour. Was I supposed to offer 20k or 30k for a trip whose base fare was 8,600? You guys and this sense of entitlement are 5&6.

Is LAGRIDE in competition with Indrive & Bolt? Why has their price stayed relatively higher for years yet they refuse to drop the standard to compete with others.

They know their customers and their customers knows them.

This is what Bolt should build on, instead of dragging themselves to the mud like Indrive pricing. No matter what you cant completely satisfy Both Riders & drivers, some people will complain.

I see prices this days after Uber left and its significantly reduced on Bolt, for what reason? To compete with Indrive?

How can you even be comparing lagride to uber, bolt or inDrive. The difference between lagride and these apps is so wide.

Y accept a ride if u want to negotiate besides 25km for 9500 is typical indrive price which is even above 300km/naira. That ride price so many indrivers dey carry below that without complaining.

Personally, i didn’t defend the driver, the driver was wrong so as the rider. You’re comparing uber that has standard price to an app that allows price adjustment. If inDrive will allow drivers to start inputting their own price while negotiating, do you think drivers will renegotiate after clicking highest suggested price on the app.

There’s no point in what you just said, do you know that this same driver might be using uber as well before they exited the market, and he won’t be having price issue with uber rides coz he knows uber compensate for every delay they experience on the way. Like I said, countless of riders have had good experience with this same driver.

I will only blame the driver for allowing himself to be used as experiment to prove inDrive is bad, just so you know, this same driver have had countless of good rides with people.

Just imagine my chat with this frustrated driver. The man wanted to charge 15k from Ikeja to Ipaja Ayobo. I didn’t force him to accept the 9,500; in fact, that was already more than what the app was recommending.

Let’s address the price, is 9500 okay from Ikeja to ayobo?

That’s around 25km in distance with lot of traffic and corners on the way, couple with not getting rides back. Anyway, I will still blame the driver for accepting to renegotiate.
