It is not news that quite a number of phones now boast of an actually working fingerprint sensor. Manufacturers like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Huawei and Tecno have phones that have this feature. Having a device that operates via fingerprint means more privacy, and that’s what almost everybody wants.

Another good thing about fingerprint means you can never forget your password or pin and it unlocks faster.

One thing the devices that run a finger print sensor have in common though is the fact that none of them comes cheap.

Amongst the devices that operates a fingerprint sensor, the Tecno phantom5 is the least expensive of the bunch at a retail price of N69,900 and surprisingly has one of the best fingerprint sensor you could find.

It unlocks via fingerprint without waking the device first and it unlocks with 360 angle recognition.

If you need a device with fingerprint sensor mainly because of your privacy you can save a lot by getting the phantom5

Tecno isn't supposed to even make expensive devices, they are to be affordable. Which tecno user is ready to buy at 90K device. The Phantom is still causing customers to unlearn and learn.

I didn't call LG tecno. I don't use tecno, as a matter of fact I use an LG. But it doesn't mean tecno can't build this kind of phone, the problem is if they do they won't sell. They don't have the customers that will shell top dollars for this kind of phone just yet.

You need not argue the matter, leave the myopic to remain bias. It's the bias that makes them condemn the brand.

That is where u are wrong. Tecno can build a phone like galaxy s6. The problem is would there be a market for it? 3 year ago, if someone told u tecno would build a phone like phantom 5 I'm sure u won't believe. 5 years ago nobody would believe LG would build a phone like this, they are not known for making phones.

In business, u have to be strategic, u can't invest in something huge when u are not sure of the market. Tecno decided to target the low end market, doesn't mean they can't build a big phone, but the problem is if they do, people will rather buy a Samsung or LG or HTC high end phones especially when the tecno is priced close to them. But don't worry, tecno are gradually getting there, give them about a year or 2 and u will start seeing tecno phones sold for 100k plus. Shebi they started with 10k phones, now they have 70k phones. They only need to gain the trust of their customers.

I will give u an example. Have u seen the new kia optima? That car kicks the shiit out of a 2015 camry and some even say it better than a 2015 honda accord. But if someone told u 5 years ago that kia would build a car like that would u believe?

It happened to me when I stubbornly pre-ordered the innjoo one. It was only d charging port that got spoilt and I didn't see it to repair. Took it to their office in ikeja, they didn't open. couldn't use d phone coz it's a non removable battery phone... See d kind wahala I had to pass through... Sold d phone when it was taking longer than expected to repair ordinary charging port

Had a feel of its awesome this week. I wouldn't be wrong to say "Yes! Tecno did this well"

well to be frank with u guys MTK devices has one issues which is crashing or brick problems, i knw many of u would have experience such, now ask ur self should u spend 70k for a device dat has no OS update i rather spend it on samsung cos i knw i will get d value of my money!!

the only issue i have with my mtk device is my k9 browser hanging and lagging sometimes
also my candy crush crashes sometimes though not often
how can you blame the chip for bricking your phone?
