It's preferable to use cup and spoon also you add milk in powder form to the already prepared pap. Also it shouldn't be too thick so it would be easy for your Lo to swallow.

Cancerlib , i have tried all three and presently, my lo who wl be five months soon is taking all three cereals. i give her one cow n gate or heinz food(those ones inside a short round bottle) to take to the creche while i also put either of the cereals in her bag too. i bought a mix of all three but the only thing i have notcied is that heinz and cow and gate cereal are sweeter than gerber cereal hence they do not need as much milk as gerber, infact if u dont add milk self,its gud to go provided your LO isnt choosy. il send you a pics of the various types i have wen i get home.

shndy, you really have a point here,i will start using tap water o,its better he get used to it,he will soon be 5mths. Pls another question o,i do give him water but na boiled water pls when can i start giving ordinary pure water without boiling it.

Am pretty sure if u c sm pure water factory u wnt dare. Pure water is far from pure lol, its just chemically treated water. Even if it's pure its still advisable to gv them boiled water till a year old

thanks mama, she is just 25days old. Am not really worried but anytime mumsy is with us, she will just start panicking saying thats how convulsion starts.

Another thing is d way mumsy always cover LO up even when d weather is very hot, my baby reacts to it & has started having rashes.

No cause for alarm sis, my baby was a super jerky lol. Not only one hand, was d two n legs too. Thankfully we were still at the hospital then, d doc saw him and said its one of d jerky mvts they Mk in d womb. It'll pass. If u are still worried see ur doc. But its actually common in newborns

Seriously what's the big deal in washing thr bum with tap water. I only use warm water on my boy wen d weather is cold. Babies only get used to what they are exposed to. I Av a niece, if she bath with room temperature water she'll catch a cold, her bath water have to b hot, this is cos of how she's raised. Its nt as if u r bathing d baby with cold water...its just d bum and only when they poop.

Mama's in the house,pls come to my aid o. My LO has rashes all over his body ,redish in colour and it itches him. I have tried baby tribotan but did not get a good result, I was then advice to get him Nystatine and miconazole and this is the fifth day of administering the drug but there has been no improvement plus there is this sound he makes as if he is having stomach ache. Pls help a mother out.

So sorry for ur stress. How old is your baby. Is he on solid food yet, could be an allergic reaction to a food especially since the rashes is coupled with stomach ache, pls experienced mamas,,,cm to d rescue.

@Miraclemum. Not all cjeap diapers leak. Nigerian pampers is d only I av used dat leaks and causes rash. I av never repeated it again. Drylove, st. Charles and princes and princesses r cheap bt neither leak nor cause rash. D creche use 3 diapers btw 8am - 4pm. Huggies don't soak easily and @ 10k for each carton for a couple of months I figure its way to expensive. Of cos we r all different wt d siezes of our paychecks.

Same as the pampers swaddlers, infact I don't have to change my baby overnight, in d morning his bum will neither be wet nor leaky. Of cos dats d essence of buying a good diaper. D diaper is true to its 12hrs dryness.

5 - 7 wipes to clean my baby bum bum once. They will double it. So I m sure they waste diaper too

Hahaha lol. Wonder why they don't even use water. Will be more hygienic and that way one can be assured they wash their hands after every diaper change

Yes, d nannies @ d creche waste diaper a lot! So I send d cheapest diaper I can find wt my lo to d creche. I send 'mini stars' wt her while I use huggies @ home. I had to also switch to cheap wipes for d creche. Saves a lot of money.

It's not a waste as long as it's still used on your baby and the nanny isnt taking it homey. If you warn them about it, this is what will happen - your baby will be wet and uncomfortable, they won't change the diaper. That can lead to serious nappy rash. If you also do "ijebu" and buy cheap diaper, it will leak after every pee or poo. Ma'm it's your baby, use a good affordable diaper. My daughter uses 3 diapers daily at the creche. I drop her 9am and pick her up by 4pm. Don't warn nanny oh, be nice so they can be nice to your child when you are not there.

TX for the advice, I understand you. Of cos if its used on my baby I. Won't mind, just the various stories ppl tell about nannies. Ur baby uses 3 diapers at the creche everyday?

lol. I had to stop wipes totally when nappy rash didn't allow us to rest even after changing from one brand to several others. I now use water jejely. As for diapers, I still prefer huggies, Nigeria Pampers is BS, Pampers Premium is on the same level with huggies. I only use Nigerian Pampers when I go out and forget to take diapers along. It's safer than most.

Johnson wipes is d only one my boy has bn able to tolerate, heard huggies is gud too.
So pampers premium is good, what of d new baby dry?

I use pampers swaddlers too, was told nannies waste diapers at d creche, that's y am in search of cheape dt cn b in his creche bag. I'll just stick to the swaddlers dn n gv them stern warning.

Thank God ur persistence paid off. Although sm mothers will tell u 6month EBF is gud but most times d baby find it difficult adjusting to anoda food aside breast milk, dats wat I'm facing now. Luckily for my lo I'm a stay-at-home mom for now. I'm goin to tap in2 ur presistence till she finally gives in. Motherhood no easy oooo!

We r in d same boat ooo! Its rily frustrating jare!! My lo finally agreed to gerber rice cereal afta trying different foods. After a while she jst stopped taking it, if I shud force it in ha mouth she will spit out. I dnt hv any choice rite now dan breastmilk

My sista persistence paid off. He still wudnt tk bottle but he took spoon later on. He couldn't finish d 180ml he's supposed to, took about 100ml. I'll start him on solid once he's 4mnths. I can't help but think what will happen if I do ebf for 6mnths, he ll really have a difficult time adjusting.
