I hope you know some people react to gluten just the same way some people are lactose intolerant and some people react to nuts.

That's why in sane countries, you will find sections on the super market shelf for gluten free food and food packaging clearly labelled to indicate they contain nuts.

So just because you've reacted to gluten is no reason to condemn wheat. Stop your ill informed scare mongering. Wheat is very healthy and it is used in various food. Bread, pasta, cake, etc.

Just what I wanted to point out. Wheat is a very rich grain, in fact it's richer in protein dn any other grain. People that reacts to it have gluten intolerance and will actually have to stay off some other gluten food.
Do you know semolina is made from wheat? Infact "durum" wheat, which is higher in gluten.

Pls is it true that wheat can be processed and eaten like corn/millet pap?

Why do you need it? I've taken it before and it works. I did not react to it but u have to be absolutely sure u need it. So go convince ur doc, if ur doc just just prescribes it without asking u to go back and do it the natural way! He is quack! Lol. The drug needs prescription sha, my doc didn't tell me the name and its just a tablet.
NB: you need to wear d firmest bra available in the market cos it dries up in two days.

Dats quite different from the one I used..... A long time ago I used a morning -after pill and I ended up leaking milk from my breast which is very abnormal cos it leads to infertility. My doc gave me d drug to use for 5days and I had no side effect.
Dat drug is most times prescribed for ttc women to correct hormonal imbalance, guess dats d one chyvv is talking about.

My baby is 9 months and also refused to be spoon fed. Mine will even collect the spoon from me and throw it on the floor or hold it tight.

Some people say the only disadvantage is that the baby will suck feeder up to 2 years.
Dont know whether it's true.

Hahaha....funny how different babies are. Mine stopped bottle at 5months, he just wouldn't open his mouth, he prefers spoon. To gv him water sef Na spoon, just trying to train him wt a sippy cup now

Pap isn't bad especially if u cn make it ursef. Start with millet and guinea corn and gradually as he grows u cn add yellow maize to it. I actually prefer pap bn d first cereal for baby cos of all d process it goes thru (soaking, sieving and cooking), which makes it gentle on d tummy, plus it has no preservative no additve, no sugar nor salt .

If u want rice cereal, u cn try Heinz, Gerber, cow and gate......all are from 4months.

Friso rice is given 4rm 6mths. Some pple give pap @ 4mths bt if u can afford it y not start him on formular instead.

Sorry dear, y not go back to the hospital, by 2wks I was walking practically well. Pls go back and get checked. CS is a major surgery, don't brush off even the slightest pain.

@ rieme26, a friend of mine that usually gives birth through CS drinks lemon mixed with warm water (freshly squeezed lemon) first thing in d morning before food and last thing at night while waiting for the scar to heal before using corset. But you have to be sure your baby is not reacting to it.

Please mamas, does baby tribotan makes babies sweat? My DS sweats like crazy since i started using it for cradle cap and its kind of making his skin dry. Any remedies? i also notice that his stomach is rumbling (making sounds), is it something to be worried about? i don't want my mum giving him agbo o as she has started saying its diarhia. Hello mamas, I'm trying to wean my baby i.e. stop breastfeeding totally. I didn't breastfeed her at all yesterday and by the time I woke up this morning, my Brea.sts were engorged, painful and very heavy as if they want to fall off my chest. What can I do to stop this? To add to all d advice......Avoid all breast stimulation, pumping or even daddy touching it . Instead of warm water try massaging it with an ice pack or a chilled towel . And pls don't be tempted to use ibuprofen, only use paracetamol cos of ur condition.

pls mamas my baby is teething and have been stooling a lot. I have given her zinc tablet to reduce the stool. I read from this forum not to give teething mixtures but to give sterilized teething rings which I did. Don't know what to do to stop the everyday stooling.@proudmum38 my mum didn't let me take soft drinks,malt,too much sugary stuff so that baby would purge.

My baby too had dt kinda poop for days, was told there's nothing I cn do about it cos its teething. When I couldn't bear it again I told a friend who's a nurse and she said I shd gv him flagyl(syrup) 1ml morning and evening. I only gave him for a day cos its not supposed to be used over a prolonged period . Then I started baby zinc 10mg per day. His poop is back to normal now. I believe there's nothing like teething poop, it's actually cos they put anything and everything in their mouths now .

Squeeze out some orange juice and give her please. Just a few spoons should help her poo asap! Then also check your diet and try to eat stuff that will ease digestion veggies and fruits and so on!

Orange juice for a 3wk old baby? Like seriously I know babies less than a year old ain't supposed to take citrus fruits cos of the citric acid in it. Are you pretty sure its safe?

For example, my baby takes 180ml which is 6 scoops of formula. For spoon feeding cereal, I make 120ml (4 scoops) of formula....pour it in his bowl and add enough cereal to get this consistency. Make sure you make the formula in a bottle first, shake it to dissolve properly before pouring in a bowl.

TX sis, was actually talking about homemade cereal. Guess ill cook it thicker and dilute wt d milk dn. Was thinking I cn cheat and make a thicker milk

You are missing the point. A product meant for babies and it has 90% negative reviews If you are amongst the lucky 10%, take it and run with it.

I was just trying to refute the claim the Johnson's products made in this USA are good while the ones made in Nigeria or South Africa are bad.

U r right, my boy reacted badly to the made in Italy oil but d SA oil is great on him

Sorry to disturb you but in adding formula to cereal and purees, do I use normal strength .i.e. D normal consistency baby take normally or do I reduce the water thereby getting a thicker milk?
