Compu001: Guys thank you for your constant support. With the information I get here, my wife have been able to do everything and she is at the Nclex stage. We are preparing for Nclex now. Question that I have is that, when will this ban be lifted?? As most agencies are refusing to sponsor us to the USA even if she passed Nclex. That alone is weighing her down. What ban is this Biko? |

vickyehi: Send me a pm for the materials. I would send it to you.
After passing both CBT and ielts you can then contact prospective employers directly or through agents. There are some good options shared on this thread. Interview is sometimes done through Skype. OK, I've sent you a message, thanks for the help |

ecstacy29: It's Decision Letter, the NMC UK gives you this as an authorisation to take the OSCE after meeting their requirements OK thank you so much |

vickyehi: The cost of OSCE is mostly covered by your employer. Most employers would want you to sit for the OSCE ASAP sometimes within 6mths of arrival. My advice is for you to concentrate on passing your OSCE and not get carried away by the pre registeration position you occupy. Always remember you arent a UK RN till you paddle your OSCE. Oh great. Within 6 months sounds good really. Thanks for the information. After passing the cbt, how do I get an employer? Sorry for too many questions! |

ecstacy29: The OSCE is nothing to be scared of, as most of the times, your employer will arrange an OSCE training for you. Moreover, we were all nurses before coming to the UK, the OSCE is just a way to ensure that the UK standards are met! And it's true that you can get a letter of employment after passing your CBT especially if you have your DL, which means you can be booked for OSCE soon after arrival. You will start working as a pre-registered nurse until you take the OSCE Thanks for your prompt response! BTW what's DL? How long can one work as a pre-registered nurse? The osce can be taken anytime? No time frame? It's kinda expensive |

Who has gone through the osce successfully please? For an unknown reason, the thought alone scares me hahaha. I heard it's difficult to pass if one isn't properly integrated into the uk Healthcare system before taking the exam? I also heard that once u pass the cbt, an employer can give u a letter of appointment, u can start work and sit for the osce later. Is this true please? Thanks. |
Travel › Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by shndy: 11:12am On Jul 16, 2019 |
vickyehi: UK is easiest with a timeline of 6mths or less to 1yr. Depending on how quick you write your CBt and pass ielts.
USa would take you at least 18mths to 2yrs or more to complete the entire process from assessment to visa.
My advise is always go to the uk ist then complete your usa process from there. I see, thanks for the advice. Do u have any reviewer for the UK cbt? Unlike nclex reviewer, can't find any ebook on the cbt. Do you know if the royal marsden is needed for review for the cbt? |
