flexisafsupport:
Kindly regard the last email you received
@flexisafsupport. I hope you guys would support this time! Now there is a big issue regarding my exam. I chose Chemical reaction engineering, the same course I chose while filling out my application. The major issues are:

1. There were no questions from 36-47, Only options:A,B,C,D were available; That is 10 questions out of 50. Also, question 36-47 has no parameters/values to use to do the required calculations. It happened that way and we were only presented with option A,B,C,D to chose from.. Kindly check to verify why I am very much concerned about the specific field of my exam.

2. Question 48-50 were specifically a diagram on exothermic/endothermic reactions. There, question 48-50, were references to the diagram but the diagram was no where to be found. I noticed/saw a small dot for the diagram but I guess you guys did not upload the diagram.

3. The only question with options like: I, II, III was also missing. I cant remember the question number at the moment.

4. A total of about 15 out of 50 questions were omitted. Please this is not fair to Chemical reaction engineering guys as the course itself is esoteric.

5. Out of no time, I took time out to document and write down these "egregious mistake" without paying much attention to the remaining few ones. I lost some minutes while writing them down that but it is okay if you guys could mitigate the effect on chemical reaction engineering guys......Please and please verify it this claim is genuine or NOT.

I would be glad if you could get back with appropriate corrections/suggestions to this.

Thank You Guys!!!

TravelRe: Before Applying Or Coming To The Uk For Studies: Beware Of This by shoggie(m): 6:29pm On Aug 26, 2016
Hedonistically:
It depends on your motive for going to the UK. If all you want is highest quality education, then, then there's no better destination than the UK. Quality and standard of education there is top tier; better than the USA in my view.

However, if you consider your student visa a black market ticket to permanent residency and a fulfilling white collar career in the UK, then you might want to have a long, deep rethink. You're probably going to end up disappointed and stranded.
Can you support the bolded with adequate statistics?

@Teejay, it is really very pathetic that after you went through such emotional trauma in the hands of UK embassy,
your interview went amiss again in Us embassy. I can understand!!! But then, do not worry and I would undoubtedly love you to surmount courage. Without any substantial reason till now, my first interview date was shifted on about four different occasions (Thanks to Yvete & imperiouxx, etc. who were actually consoling me then). Imagine my interview was shifted four times in less than three weeks, each after exhaustive preparation. I Printed four different bank statements few days to each appointment. Everytime I called the embassy "Sorry your appointment was reschedule upon embassy request". I even had to carry different dictionary on several occasions to check up the meaning of the phrase" upon embasy request" repeatedly.

Cheer up, tell yourself in the front of a mirror every morning that you have no time for resentment. Granted, everything will be all right!

@ Again,Please do not defer your admission yet. I was denied like you at first attempt after those trauma. But that same night of denial after sharing my experience on this thread . I made a personal decision that changed the whole story. I booked another appointment immediately for Lagos ( I deliberately did not chose Abuja again this time around but rather made up my mind that I must be approved without doubt in Lagos ). Exactly one week later, I was approved of my Visa but I had to defer my admission because resumption date on my I-20 has elapsed before I got my visa by hand.

Today, the rest is a story. We are bound to face different challenges in life but opportunity subtly lies an inch beneath those challenges.
@ Do not forget to send me PM if you wish to learn from my own experience in the hands of a "marverick VO" in Abuja.
And as Ojap rightly pointed out to you, listening to the voice of the elders on this thread, he has something spectacular for you in the corridor of power which I will advise, do not despise.

Yvete: awww congrats Shoggie!! Happy for ya!
Hope you can still enroll for classes this semester.
Sorry for late response,I have been dancing azonto to God since last week.I am back on the blog now.
I have decided to deffer my admission as suggested by my school but the extension letter serve me well for embassy
request for my Visa.I was not even with the extension letter as at the time I went for my interview & the VO knew that the date on my I-20 was due and did not make reference to it until the last minute after an enthralling conversation.
Hmmmmmm!!!!! I do not know that those VOs can laugh to ones conversation. My interview was comical if not hysteric!
I tell you, my VO enjoy our conversation. God took over that day that "Formal interview" turns to "Informal conversation". The VO did not even request for any documents except my two GRE scores & TOEFL scores after the first question. That was what caught the VO's attention, making reference to it one by one & I served her well with well titillated, articulated response. The whole interview lasted for a long time but I knew after the second questions that she had made up her mind and only wanted to have a glimpse of my response to some questions.
I wrote three pages out of the whole interview & I decided to stop because it was such a long & wonderful interview.
To my surprise, there was no single reference to my first interview.
I am convinced very well that adequate preparation with fervent prayer set stage for a sucessful interview.

My special unmitigated enthusiasm goes to imperiouxx, nairaspace, walex, Yvete, mammacita etc for their PAINSTAKING effort on everybody from my day one on this blog.

But to aspirants & the gurus, it is another time to learn from each other.
Here goes my Interview at 10:45, Abuja:
VO : Good morning ( he denied every living person I witnessed except one husband & wife that came for renewal)
Me : Good morning Sir ( I grinned as usualto cool tempo)
VO : Pass me your documents
VO : Sorry, please give some minutes I will be back in a moment.
Me : Calm, waited for like two minutes not even thinking about anything.
Vo : hello, how did you learn about the school?
Me : I dowloaded the best 200 universities based on US News report on university ranking & I used internet to search for those that suite my profile.
VO : Nodded
VO : So you are going for Masters in Bleep course.
Me : Yes
VO : So you what will Bleep course do for you.
Me : I love lecturing, I worked hard to graduate as the best students from my department because I wil like to work as a lecurer in any of our best universities & will also like to work as a research consultant to some of our research institutes since most of them are affiliated to our National universities.
VO : Nodded
VO : Pass me your statement of Accounts
Me : Passed
VO : He glanced through each page & Keep murmuriing sth about $77,000 on my I-20 which was the money I submitted to my school before my I-20 was issued.(possibly he mistaken it for $36, 400 for tution fee on my I-20 as well)
Me : I stayed calm, confidence & a bit indifference since I have 18million plus on the statement of account
VO : Is it only the family type who is sponsoring your study. He asked sth on this twice
Me : Yes, My brother. He failed to ask about what he does. I was waiting for him to ask me about what he does but he failed to do so.
VO : Have you travelled outside Nigeria before
Me : No
VO : Continuing typing & suddenly said your Visa is denied because your family type shows insufficient fund & that I may reapply at any time.
Me : Thank you Sir.
Am happy for one singular reason, I did not lose courage & not too bothered about whether he was going to approve or deny.
Observation : The other lady in window 6 issued almost everybody (9:1 if not 100%), even those going to community colleges, infact, she approved two guys who have graduated since 2006, No SAT or TOEFL but one kind diploma certificates. She was just too happy that we all of us knew that whosoever fortunate to meet her has already got his/her Visa approved.
I had so much time to count the number of applicants'passport on his desk who he has granted Visa, around ten but less than 15 since morning oh!Throughout my time there, he did not issued anybody visa except the couple who came for renewal.
Those going to Abuja, pray against window 7 guy, he is a saddist, too reluctant to issued Visa as if we were goig to US to steal his hard earning dollars.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY IN THE HIGHEST PLACE. MY FIRST THANK GOES TO GOD!
Special thanks to all House MemberS.
My Visa was approved exactly one week after my first Interview i.e Last week Thursday & I was only asked to bring an extension letter on Monday. Unfortunately, it was Marthin Luther king's day.
Today I went with it & am just dancing azonto to God Now.
House Help me Celebrate oh!
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by shoggie(m): 12:36am On Jan 11, 2013
zerocool: The bolded might have changed his mind to approve your visa. Thing is, when they start typing, they are typing the reason why you can't be issued already, even before they officially verbally tell you that you have been denied. He just used that question to buttress his point on their database for the reason he denied you, and having no travel experience was part of it, so the next VO to interview you, will know what and what to look out for and ask. The assistant consular general of the US embassy in Nigeria, said the same thing in a media chat late last year that most Nigerians are denied solely based on the fact that they don't have any travel experience. Wait a while before re-applying ..possibly a year or two.. make your circumstances change, try to travel to a country during that period, SA, UAE or UK.. blah blah..and re-apply, you will definitely be issued, except you bleep it up yourself again.
That may be true because on checking the letter he gave now apart from comment on statement of account he stated this also "You may reapply if you have additional evidence to demonstrate compelling reasons to depart the United states that you did not present today, you may wish to bring that with you." But it is peculiar to most of the students issued by the other lady because they also affirmed that they never travelled before & were granted.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by shoggie(m): 6:19pm On Jan 10, 2013
imperiouxx: Good to know your emotion wasn't defeated. I don't understand what you mean by $77,000 on I-20 and mistaking it for $36,400 for tuition. Do you mean total amount on your I-20 is $77,000? Well, like yvete said, the account when submitting for admission must have changed in transaction prior interview, so I don't expect you to take the same statements submitted to school to embassy. I didn't do like that. Moreover, "family" on I-20 gives you the opportunity to switch statement without any issue. Try again friend, it is well with you.
My I-20 states $36k & on it again the school stated that I submitted a statement of account of $77K (#12M) before issuing I-20 both on same page (probably he nmistaking it for $36,400 for tuition) and now presented 18M for the Visa interview & this bears last week date.I did not take same statement of account to embassy. A change of 6M difference now!

Hi Bro,

Sir & Ma, Embassy at Abuja have rescheduled my appointment for 4 consecutive times.
Now, I applied for Emegency appointment & It reads as following :

Thank you for contacting U.S. Embassy ABUJA. Your Emergency request has been approved.

To schedule your appointment, login to your U.S. visa services account at http://portal.ustraveldocs.com/ . The online instructions will guide you through your application.

Your Emergency appointment request is valid until Jan 09 2013. Please note that you will not be granted entry into the consular section unless you have scheduled an appointment.

I tried to rescheduled another date since the emergency has already been approved.
After cancelling my initial appointment date, to my surprise, there was no closer date but I have
the Jan 11 date Confirmation Page with me.
Should I go to embassy with this email or What do I need to do?
I have been on the internet for the past 6hrs. but to no avail

Please House, Help me to elaborate more because I do not Know what to do.

I do not reaaly know what is happening, house please help me out!

I booked my appointment since 24 November 2012 & I chose the only available date which was 26/12/2012 & was confirmed by an email sent to my inbox.
On another ocassion, I received another email stating that my appointment date is 27/12/2012.
Again on December 12 at 4;58 PM, I received a third email stating that my appointment has been rescheduled to January O4, 2013 upon embassy request and that I should log in back into my account to check the details for the new appointment confirmation sent to me.
Then I reported to fellow nairalanders & I was urged to contact them which I did through email & phone call though I could not get through phone . Hence I still considered 04 Jan. to be Ok for me. They did not reply my email until last week Tuesaday (exactly 4 businessday because of break).
Last Friday I received a call from embassy affirming that my appointment is this friday 04/12/2013.

Now, I logged in to my email & I saw another email from embassy stating that my appointment has been rescheduled to next weekend & that they are sorry for any inconveniencies they may have caused me.
House, Since November 24 this is what I have been living for & This is another story.
Please I invite all the GURUS in the House to help me out of this matter.
Honestly, I am DUMBFOUNDED, Speechless indeed a day to my year of Divine Favour
I do not really know what is happening.
The resumption date on my I-20 is no later than January 14, 2013. In short, I would not have finished the processing before the last day of resumption.

I should be obliged to your response.
Thanks.
