The Ukraine resistance is the easiest thing to be expected and if you think Russia didn't expect the obvious then you need to stop tunning into western propaganda. Ukraine has been totally decimated, kharviv a state bigger than the likes of lagos has been reduced to rubbles. Mauripol the financial and sea hub has been totally decimated, mauripol is the size of your mega cities here in naija. their biggest aircraft manufacture plant Antonov and the biggest plane in the world as Been completely destroyed, literarily thousands of millitary Depot has Been decimated Molokai and a couple other dozen too, the whole of Kyiv has Been surrounded ukraine said it has sustained more than $200b worth of damages and thousands of casualties including the most painful part innocent civilians.
All this happened within 3 weeks and Russia is not even officially at war with ukraine and has not even scait even it's too tier level arsenal except the use of just 2 hypersonic missiles,the problem is not ukraine resistance,of course they are brave people and they won't go easily the problem here is that Russian force is just too overwhelming and they have practically zero chance of victory that is why zelensky is practically begging for peace and audience with Putin every minute.
The worst part is the innocent civilians being killed daily in droves, which is not avoidable

Japan is among the top ten countries with the best airforce & navy all over the world. U can't refer to such a country as weak unmilitarized!

It's one of the countries that spends the lowest percentage of it's annual budget on millitary in the world. Compared to the likes of Russia, china they are weak. Of course they still have good millitary capabilities but they are not millitarily focused like other countries
