There is no argument, the purpose of requesting for rubles is for them to be able to have access to their money and bypass the sanction. They have two options
1) pay in rubles
2) pay in euros into Gazprom bank in Russia.

And yes, Hungary is already willing to pay in Rubles.

3) Russia has gotten bigger customers in Asia, pipeline is currently being built to china. China alone is more than 3 times the size of EU.
