Shell is a corporate entity, they pay tax to FG and not Lagos state they can only remit paye to Lagos for their Lagos based staffs.. Most of their employee are in rivers and bayelsa..

it's not like they don't get dragged out of position, but you see team members covering for them when any one of them is dragged out.. That's why it's always very difficult to see vacant spaces. They are very compact and highly mobile. You will see mount closing people down to defence, see Alonso in box 18. They are just very difficult to break down, and I feel the reason is because there is no star player, no ego among them, just average players playing as a team. Thats why you will see no matter who is called upon, he will still put in a nice shift

My brother studying Economics offer u broader career path and options. While an Economist can easily be an Accountant with Professional Certification.. hope you know that writing ICAN alone qualifies one to be an accountant? (even if u study Food Science ). mind you, studying accounting alone still does not qualify you to be an accountant without (ICAN) or (ANAN) Certification.

While u have an advantage of holding a Managerial position as an Economist an accountant can only be accountant. reason am

We don't have a government or labor union that will enforce that law,, go on LinkedIn and see HND guys that just graduated from Babcock telling stories of how they are being discriminated in even top 4 firms.. The discrimination is real and dosent seem to go anytime soon from most employers.. It is real

I made this comment when I was still a young accountant,, my advice for you now,, just go and do accounting. Opportunities are endless and far more than economics for me without professional qualification. . Note economics isn't bad either, regardless of which one you pick though, take a professional exam and the sky is your starting point. Bsc ACC and Bsc ECC alone without professional qualification no get equal opportunity o, ECC go find work tire for 9ja

As a marketer you should expect that much of your earnings will come from commissions.. The message we are trying to pass across is that not all employee in an insurance firm is paid through commission. Their are salary earners in insurance company depending on your job function.

Nothing "a very small target" in insurance especially when getting the people to buy the insurance policy is very hard cos of the apathy Africans and Nigerians in particular have for insurance. Most times , u might not ever meet up the small target.

I once worked as a finance staff in an insurance company for about 2 years, i was paid SALARY without any target and i also got profit sharing every 3 months based on the company's performance ,, same for my colleague in AIICO and Wapic. Only marketing staffs are given strict targets Oga. may be your company are giving you targets but most insurance don't give non marketing staffs strict target

I put it to you that the guy asking this question is being employed as a marketer...and 80% of insurance employees are marketers... I have worked in 3 insurance companies , so I'm speaking from some level of experience and authority.

you are not the only one that has worked in insurance.. if you are hired as a marketer, much of your income will be based on commission, you will still receive salary but not much.. Every other unit are based on purely salaries. However for non marketing staffs for some insurance companies, they might give you a very little target as well which doesn't count much.. Insurance is a very good industry
