philip0906:

I'm shocked to hear that a programmer earns 50k salary. I highly doubt the story and if true, then he must be a website designer or website manager.

50k that programmers make from freelancing a single project in a matter of days. If the story is true, then we all know why he hasn't gotten a good job as he must be a knuckle head.
It's like you did not read the thread, a trait of a knuckle head!

I'm talking about someone whose second job pays him more than #120, 000 with free lunch.

Not sure I have ever seen a developer earning less than 100k. My organization pays at least 120 even for interns. We scarce man....especially the really good ones. One of my colleague earns 600k and he does nothing. He has been earning that for over 3 years. Not to even mention the side projects...for those who knows the code name...PP

What I really want to know is:

If a programmer is working in an organization that depends on getting projects from clients like other companies or individuals, what is the fate of Programmers working in such an organization if the company does not have projects to work on for maybe 3 or 4 months?

If you are really good at the language or know your work very well it's stable, i can even say it's over stable sef, i have a friend who is doing two programming jobs together freelancing, before Coronavirus pandemic even with world wide lock downs and closure he is still working and getting paid almost 2M per month and some companies in lekki are begging him to work for them for pay of almost 600k per month. So it boils down to how good you are, if you really good at it you will never lack good paying jobs except there isn't anything as technology again

I can say it is by God's grace, not by aptitude. There is nothing sure in all these IT Career, peeps are now much. We have cool programmers and devs that are intelligent but unemployed, they freelance, get outsourced jobs from high paid devs to meet their ends. Nothing sure!
You response is the closest to the answer. Perhaps, the thread isn't clear enough.

I know a programmer who was employed in an organization that owed two month salary, even up till the third month, despite the fact that the salary was not even up to #50, 000.

That same person resigned and after some months got a better paying programming job but the company has not even resumed yet because of coronavirus and the company has not been paying, that is not even the problem since the company has not yet resumed.

The surprising thing is the company has not received any project that their programmer employees can work on despite the fact that the employees have their personal company laptops.

My question is this, is the work of a programmer unstable?

Romance / Why Are Some Working Class Women Unmarried Even Around Age 36+? by sholarr12: 3:08pm On Jun 16, 2020
It is common to see some working class unmarried women around the age of 36+

Even when they desire marriage, they are unmarried probably because there is a shortage of men coming their way.

Why is it so?

Health / Covid-19: Why Do Some Patients Run Away From Isolation Centres? by sholarr12: 5:56pm On May 06, 2020
It's been reported several times that some Covid-19 patients ran away from isolation centres and I really find this surprising.

Why do I find it surprising? I do because a patient who runs away risks lack of proper medical care.

Once again, why would a Covid-19 patient run away?

Health / How Bad Will The Recession Be? by sholarr12: 3:24pm On May 01, 2020
World economy is in a shambles and people are losing big money.

Some people's plans have been badly affected. Imagine that yearly savings target is no more possible!

Do you know the number of people that this pandemic has plunged into depression?

Did you know that this will affect many people throughout the year.

And did you know that the poor will be the hardest hit?

Guys, stay strong.

This is a message of hope. We shall overcome.

One more thing, stay alert. Don't fall victims to internet fraudsters who are using this pandemic to swindle.

Properties / What Could Be The Cause Of Recent Fire Outbreaks? by sholarr12: 3:09pm On Apr 15, 2020
Recently, there have been fire outbreaks in Nigeria. While many people believe that the fire outbreaks were deliberately caused by people in order to conceal their corruption, others believe that the outbreaks were caused by natural phenomena.

For me, I believe that the hot weather was a key factor in these fire outbreaks.

Health / Talking Points Of Covid-19 In Nigeria. by sholarr12: 3:13pm On Apr 11, 2020
Covid-19 has been in Nigeria for a couple of weeks now and it has brought about some interesting talking points. Find the talking points below:

1 The Doubting Thomases:

1.1 Tribalism:

Some of these ones are fueled by tribalism. They need to constantly oppose the president and that is why they keep calling the pandemic, that has claimed the lives and loved ones of more than 100, 000 people all over the world, a scam.

1.2 Stupidity:

Some are fueled by stupidity as they believe Covid-19 cannot survive in our weather, that neither does it have anything on the black man.

2 The Stubbornly Religious People
:

There are other people who are stubbornly religious. They are not necessarily saints, they are only interested in proving they are stubborn and can't be controlled by the government. In fact, if the government tries to regulate their activities, they will call the government the anti-Christ.

3 The Exploitative Sellers
:

These ones are the market sellers. From the wholesalers to the retailers. They are exploitative and greedy. 1 paint rubber of garri that used to be #700 is now #1, 500 even more in some areas. Greed.

You can add yours.

But recession causes inflation. Right?
Food / Food For Thought: Won't There Be Inflation After Covid-19? by sholarr12: 7:05am On Apr 09, 2020
This current pandemic is a great source of concern and anxiety as millions of people have lost their jobs while millions more are still expected to. Can you now see that the pandemic is concerning?

The pandemic has destroyed world and local economies, too. For instance, Nigeria's economy has been affected as even the FG has been diverting billions of Naira in funds, because of Covid-19, meant for other purposes.

The important question now is:

Won't there be serious inflation even when Covid-19 is over?

Wuhan China, the originator of the current pandemic, was on lockdown for 2 months.

Now, Nigeria has copied the lockdown model of China, hoping for a similar success.

But can Nigerians survive more than 1 month of lockdown?

Can Nigerians hold on?

Health / Coronavirus: Why All States In Nigeria Should Be On Complete Lockdown. by sholarr12: 1:56pm On Mar 25, 2020
The Nigerian nation had all the time to prevent the entry of Covid-19 into Nigeria, but it failed to. Unsettling! Appalling!

Well, the reason I'm here is that the first state to record index cases of this virus is Lagos. From Lagos to Abuja and/or Ogun. I am , however, concerned about the new case in Edo.

The virus is spreading from state to state! Is it until the virus spreads to other states in Nigeria before inter-state travel is banned? Did you know that as long as people can still travel from one state to another, the virus will keep spreading?
