Why can't you people leave GOD out of your comments, GOD will not help you because you Nigerians are a bunch of educated retards who prefer to speak exaggerated grammar instead of picking up arms and fighting for your freedom. Saraki is fooling himself - Indicating that diverse investments propels a nation into an economic gaint but you and I know the real issue in Nigeria is still accountability.

In the article he states India spends half of what we spend on education per student how come then we are not getting results. The real issue here is corruption, Saraki and Hawks are responsible for this. You will also notice in the article that not anywhere did he refer to corruption as the major hindrance in Nigeria i suspect he knows that when you point a finger, four points back to you.

Until we rid the country off people like the saraki family Nigeria can never moved

Please abeg throw the report in the toilet.
You are 100% correct ,i am not even sure SARAKI wrote this article ,he probably stole it from someone because the SARAKI family themselves are evil. Is this not the same SARAKI who is part of the Northern States Arewa association? Is this not the same saraki who said yara dua does not need to hand over to the VP?

Na now dem know say Nigeria dey backwards. Na bullet go kill you Saraki!

You see, noise makers like beaf, sapeleguy, and Ibime, are internet revolutionaries and they are known for toothless internet gangsterism. They will not see the brilliant points you made above because they believe that they will eventually control 100% of the oil resources of the Niger Delta some day. These are people who write from the comfort of their sofas in diaspora. They are basically suffering from a disconnect from the masses and the real/common enemy (the ruling elite).
Spot on Bro ,you nailed it ,i could not have put it in a better way.

Imagine what will happen if the members of MEND or other ND rebel groups are allowed to run NNPC.

SapeleGuy:
Shoot2kill - you have fired numerous blank bullets. You have displayed the typical ignorance of not understanding anything that is past 'Ore junction'. MEND have never demanded money. As I wrote previously, go and read Soyinka and Fashola's pronouncement on this matter.

What did you people say about the ceding of Bakassi, what have you people done about the continued murder and harassment of Niger Deltans in Bakassi.

Nigeria without ethnicity is impractical. Ethnicity only becomes wrong when it is used to cheat other people, that is where we are at today. Nobody here has talked of civil war, we have talked of true federalism, repealing military decrees, changing the land use act and all other oppressive laws.

As for monkey, i guess you better go and chop your banana.
What you need to understand is that tribalism is a technique that has being used by the Political class to divide and rule Nigeria. If you have been brainwashed to think that ethnicity is important at this point in time, then i am sorry for you. Nigeria does not revolve around Niger Deltans alone. I may not have fought for Niger Deltans yet but that does not mean that i will not in future or that i condone the merciless killings of Niger deltans in bakassi. What i am saying to you is that before we can have true freedom in Nigeria, ordinary Nigerians need to unite as one force to fight the government.

Niger Deltans should not think that they are the only ones suffering in Nigeria, go to the west and go to the east ,even the north you will see the face of poverty. If you say MEND has never demanded for money then who are the people kidnapping foreign oil workers and demanding for ransoms before they are released?

You did not read my comments well otherwise you will realise from my statements that i care more about the safety of ordinary Niger Deltans than i care about MEND. MEND has allowed their organization to go the money route and they no longer hold a good image other than that of crooks trying to get rich through terrorism.

What we need in Nigeria is not MEND but a united organization that will not represent a single tribe but the ordinary people of Nigeria. Remember fella when he sang about suffering and smiling? He was not talking about yorubas or igbos or Hausa ,he was talking about all Nigerians in general

What i have been saying to all nairalanders is that we need to get over  our tribalistic mentalities and form a single unbreakable force (united we stand divide we are weak). If Nigeria is to truly free Nigerians have to have that spirit of WAZOBIA(and don’t tell me wazobia does not represent ND because even when I was young my ND friends used to refer to themselves as wazobians) that existed in the 80s.We are one whether we like it or not and before we can start to dream of freedom we must work together not in faction. Mend’s strategies are lame at best because it does not deal with politicians instead it deals with Oil companies who can easily pack their bags and move to more lucrative environments. Even If they give you ND deltans your oil rigs to manage, they will out of service within two years because a typical Nigerian lacks maintenance culture.

We still expatriates to help us explore our resources but we also need better governance and management of state funds.ND reminds me of the Florida Everglades, ND is a naturally beautiful  place and it should be a tourist attraction as well as a property mecca not a death zone. That is what I am fighting for. MEND should do their killing in Abuja not in ND.

@ topic,

MEND must have been studying the new military capability of the JTF and reinforcing their own capabilities all this while.

There was never a ceasefire, MEND just needed breathing space to re-arm themselves. They always knew FG was insincere in its intentions, therefore they were only playing for time. Remember that when it seemed that most MEND fighters had fled to the Government side, Okah tried to keep the momentum going by instituting an Urhobo Revolutionary Army who carried out an attack right in the middle of the amnesty period.

If Gbomo is making this announcement now, best believe that there are one or two attacks already planned.
Dude don't fool yourself,MEND cant even defeat Boko Haram talkless of JTF.Those guys are being trained by the US marines so an all out combat is out of the question. They should target politicians, then the Nigerian government will sit up.

trueword:
well it looks like another piece has been thrown into the chaotic situation in nigeria. now that the niger deltans seem like they will begin to make noise those crooks in the FEC and govt can't keep continue to lie in order to make sure that no one becomes acting president. I'm sure that there are some actions that would need president signature to take place . So now what will those thieves do.

Instead of these militants to be blowing up oil installations, I suggest that they just go and kidnap/deal with those people in Fed. govt. that are preventing the forward movement of nigeria. These crooks have looted so much money already so disrupting petroleum will probably affect the common nigerian more than them.

I remember about 2 and half years ago when the FG was doing all this talk about how they had created a masterplan for the niger delta and how supposedly the place would be turned into paradise. I knew it was a bunch of BS,
^The above is about the most sensible comment i have seen here on this thread. Most of you are morons who are educated but not intelligent. Many of you did not even fight in the Biafra war but you come here trying to brag about your tribal superiority based on numbers.

If the east picks up arms to start a civil war they will defeated again and this time their race will be wiped out. What you Igbos and Niger deltans must understand is that Yorubas are not your enemies until you make them your enemies. Your enemy is the Government of Nigeria(And this government is filled up of IGBOS ,Niger Deltans ,Hausas and Yorubas). The politics of Nigeria is a tribe on it's own.

We black people are monkeys and we reason like monkeys that is why MEND behave like monkeys. Instead of damaging pipelines which will still cause us more money to repair ,why don’t they plant bombs in government building and abduct the children of prominent politicians. They don't do that because MEND is a corrupt organization full of thugs from the Niger Delta. They are not interested in the development of their land but instead in the greasing of their wallets.

If i were to be charge, i will eliminate them because they are just making lives of ordinary poor Niger deltans worse. Because of them the USA has instructed Africom to murder innocent Niger Deltans to protect chevron. The time has come for us to stop this tribal BULLShxT and start working together to deal with politicians. I suggested on another thread the use of snipers to take out key politicians but you bunch of cowards just chickened out of the thread.

The government is not the problem of Nigeria ,it is we the people who are our own worst enomies,90% of Nigerians are greedy ,corrupt, wicked and selfish and unless we overcome that mindset we are in this ride for a long time. MEND should redeem their image by not demanding for money but instead demand for change. They should kidnap politicians instead of innocent oil workers.

Whether you like it or not, Peter Obi remains the best Governor Anambra state had seen. He is doing the work Anambrarians elected him to do and he doesnt need to advertise it on the pages of newspaper for your type to see.
If you want to know the reason why he is the darling of the press and why he has been accruing different leadership awards, then go down to Anambra state and ask the common men and women.
Peter Obi's only crime is the delivery of good governance to Anambrarians and the insulation of the greedy elites out of Anamra treasury.
Before you start throwing punches, answer the question : what has he done (in pictures), what legacies has he introduced.

All these delusional talk by shallow minds is caused by our obsession with Oil. We are the only nation in the world who is obsessed with Oil.

I wonder why a sovereign nation like ODUA will want to join a broke – ass nation like Benin in this day and age?

Dubai does not have oil but they have one of the best cities in the world because they were able to make the right decisions.

OIL is seriously becoming a curse to Nigeria, all we see is OIL, OIL, OIL, OIL, OIL even though some of us do not make our living from this OIL but we are obsessed with it. Some us of have not even seen what crude oil looks like in real like but we are licking out lips waiting to share in the OIL loot.

I think that MEND has lost its mind, the fight should be for the freedom of it’s people not for Jonathan. MEND is the same as the politicians, even if they give them access to the OIL they will loot it dry.70% of Nigerians are corrupt, just a sad ,sad fact.

While I like the idea of Navy helicopters being shot down by stingers, Can the militants afford stingers and how do they even get their weapons?

@OP ,are you sure you have not been playing too much of call of duty ?

By the way you can down a helicopter with a simple sniper rifle if you are able hit it’s vulnerable parts, e.g. the fuselage ,the Rotor panel .Better still just shoot the pilot or pilots through the head and sure enough the helicopter will crash.

@Mekusxyz

Grow a brain for once and stop insulting Yoruba people every time you get a chance, your Igbo people are not better off than anybody. If anything we are all in this together and until retards like you learn to understand that the liberation of the people of Nigeria depends on the unity of it's tribes we will forever be plagued with all these problems. This has nothing to do with Yorubas ,Igbos or Hausas. This is NIGERIAN politics and it is a cancer that can only be destroyed through violence.

@fellow Nigerians

I don't know this man and i don't a give flipping hoot that he was shot dead.As far as i am concerned AC and PDP are birds of the same feather. They are the virus that is running this country into the ground. The more they kill themselves the better for all Nigerians. If i had my way i will execute all Nigerian politicians via a firing squad (minus Fashola).

As for those of you who are praying , remember GOD only helps those who help themselves,as long as we want to remain in our comfort zones and we are not ready to take up arms to fight ,we should stop complaining and criticizing the government because it is seriously lame.Nigerians are cowards and that is putting it mildly.

And we call it, the iPad.” It’s official.

The icons are like the iPhone’s, complete with a tray at the bottom (like the Mac OS X dock).

“It is the best browsing experience you’ve ever had.”

You can turn iPad, and an accelerometer will adjust by itself. “You can see the whole webpage. “

“it’s a dream to type on”, and it looks like a giant iPhone keyboard. “It’s almost life size.”

You can flick through photos and emails just like on the iPhone, basically. There’s a built-in calendar (like a datebook married the desktop OS X calendar).

You can also watch YouTube (even in high def), and you can watch TV shows and movies. It’s not widescreen though, and looks closer to 4:3 than 16:9.

You slide to unlock, just like an iPhone. “It’s so much more intimate than a laptop.”

Politics › Re: Automobile Firm Debuts In Ondo by Shoot2Kill: 12:06pm On Jan 21, 2010
Good Intentions ,Bad Ideas

As an Ondo boy, I am happy ,at the same time I am not. I  am not sad because I believe this is an elephant project but because we Nigerians always take steps in the wrong direction.

Allow me to explain why, While starting an automobile company is a good idea the automobile company which the Ondo government is partnering with is not a good one. I am a specialist when it come to automobiles and I can assure you that the BMG company is a very crooked company. Their cars are of of terrible quality. I live in South Africa and I had the displeasure of assessing one of their products which they imported into South Africa.

BMG is a Chinese company that makes cheap cars that do not last for more than 12 months before it starts breaking down, the car is poorly built and the doors start falling off after a few months.

It is a shame that we as Nigerians always go for cheap innovations and products. South Africa manufactures Bmws ,Mercedes Benz and Hummer 3 which are exported to countries like Japan  ,United Kingdom and Australia. Why do we always have to settle for the worst. Why can't we secure deals to manufacture quality cars like the new BMWs. Imagine we are still manufacturing Peugeot 504 and 505 ,cars that are no longer manufactured by Peugeot in France.

South Africa has already surpassed us by developing the first South African made Electric Car,the car is designed and built by South Africans in South South Africa ,no chinese or foreigners involded. Here is their website: http://www.optimalenergy.co.za/

(You see the quality of their website) Why can't we partner with South Africans to manufacture this electric car.Dont you think that it will make more sense than partnering with a crooked chinese company to manufacture low quality petrol consuming cars?

Mark my words,if care is not taken ,chinese companies will ruin the Nigerian economy.Their goods have no quality just quantity. We need to partner with canadians,Australians ,South African,Japanese,Brazilians and South Koreans companies to boost our economy.

Nigeria needs young leaders like me who are experienced and who will go for top notch products to be manufactured in Nigeria not questionable Chinese products. South Africa is already applying to manufacture iPhones , Wii and Playstation 3 locally. I mean how can South Africa be light years ahead of us in everything and we are 49 years old. Governor Mimiko has good intentions but he does not have good ideas. We as Nigerian must start thinking in a modernized manner instead of our  “manage manage” way of doing things like we have always done.

I wish Nigeria could have Governors with my kind of ideas , Nigeria will be a super industrialized nation within 15 years. I dont know much about  Innoson Motors in enugu state but it is also a chinese venture and as usual in the typical Nigerian way of thinking the Innosson Motors company does not have an official WEBSITE. If Innoson Motors does not have a website, how do they expect a foreign based car dealer to take interest in their product? I don’t know if we Nigerians have our brain in our azz or what? Why is it that Nigerian Big companies don’t have websites? And the ones that have websites have poorly designed websites, where are all our IT guys? I am actually impressed with enugu golf city project because they seem to be doings the rights in the RIGHT way.

I noticed the enugu golf city was design by a South African architect. The website is : http://www.enugulifestyle.com/

You can see the quality of South African architecture and how it is way more advanced than our own. By the way the website was designed and built by a South African web designer. There is absolutely no Nigerian web designer based in Nigeria who can design a website as good as that because of our “manage manage” mentality.

I hope the Enugu state government will bring in South African construction companies to supervise the construction of the golf city because if they give it to any Nigerian company they will over charge the government and use cheap materials as well as poor building techniques to build the houses. Any one who have travelled overseas will agree with me that the Nigerian construction companies are the worst in the world. Just drive around Lekki ,you will see that even though some of the buildings look beautiful from afar when you get close you will notice some of the walls/pillars are not straight or the metal on the balconies and staircase in bent. Another problem in the Nigerian construction sector is our “GATE” designs ,in advanced countries they use beautifully designed Garage doors but in Nigeria we use this ugly looking metal gates that look like ugly combinations of metal and paint. We need to look outside and see what others are doing to make their countries beautiful. Dubai copied America and Canada. Why can’t Nigeria copy dubai and build new cities. Why do we focus on old cities like Lagos and Abuja when they is ample land in Ogun ,Ondo,Imo ,Enugu ,Cross river ,Sokoto ,Kano ,Niger Delta to build brand new cities from scratch that will be on par with Hong Kong ,Dubai ,Singapore and palm beach? Ordinary Malaysia is 100 times more beautiful than Nigeria, how come huhhuh Why should it be so when we are richer than them huhhuhhuh

We have to learn from others to become great. Nigerians are always arrogant, they believe they know everything. Before I left Nigeria, I thought Lekki had the one of the best designed homes in the world but when I got to South Africa, I realised that this same Lekki that we are so crazy about can not even compete with a Low income suburb in South Africa. Nigeria is behind and behind big time. We need to catch up fast. We need to copy foreign ideas to boost our economy and develop our infrastructure.

We should build models before we start building cities, this is how a city should be planned :
