Granted Pafun you proved your point. The scenarios in these pictures can happen anywhere in the world. No matter what pictures you put up, it wont discourage Nigerians trust me.

@ Thor.

I am so sorry to say this but from your posts here and somewhere else,  i find you very hypocritical. One minute you are asking why anyone would want to live in a cesspit ( Nigeria), and the next you are wondering why anyone would want to leave nigeria to become an illegal alien in a foreign land.
Why don't you just open your mind and shut your mouth, both are empty anyway. Jeeez!!!!

@Thor,   you just answered yourself,  'just because i am African i have to be dishonest, illegal and commit criminal activities' . Most of these so called illegal  immigrants ( barring asylum seekers) just want to come and work if they are given the chance. We seem to always focus a lot on the negatives , conveniently forgetting the positives. These people do jobs so called British citizens wont do. And they do it with a smile on their faces.

No matter what anyone says, no matter what kind of legislation, no matter what kind of biometric technology as long as there is poverty in this world, there will always be illegal immigrants.

Sometimes its just so easy for us to sit here and blame everything on them.  As long as we have Dictatorships and wars being aided and abetted by the western world there will always be illegal immigrants.

You need to go to Reeds.co.uk, Monsterjobs.co.uk and apply for random jobs. Theses jobs will send you emails with their contacts. You need theses to prove that you are ACTIVELY seeking work before booking for the interview. It takes time getting through to the NI office but good luck all the same.

I have said this before and I am saying it again,

Havent you guys asked yourself why it is sooo cheaphuh?

Ukraine + Diploma / Degree = Useless in the UK/US ( Hell I know a group of Polish Msc Holders working in Sainsburys stacking shelves!!!!!)
You cannot work for a dime in Ukraine. If at all you do and they find out, you will be on the next plane to Nigeria.
The only upside is some people stay there a little bit and run off to the UK with the tourist visa.

It is really funny how this post like some other posts i have seen, has degenrated into Nigerians @ Home Vs Nigeria In Diaspora. On  the issue of coming abroad, I have never and will never regret coming abroad. The day I went to the UK embassy and got my Visa, was the day I became a Man.  Going into a venture is always fraught with risks,  be it staying in Nigeria or coming abroad.

The point i am trying to make is that we all are different. Some people are made to come abroad and discover their gifts/talent and some people come and realise that they are better off back home. You CANNOT tell ayone not to go abroad. If they can, let them. I will never trade my place here for anything in Nigeria.

Travel › Re: Most Africans Think Nigerians Are Arrogant by shotster50(m): 11:56pm On Oct 03, 2008
I believe We Nigerians have this smug superior attitude over everybody else. We think we are the only one who have gone through socieconomic hardship,        It is  exactly the same thing in the caribbean were Jamaicans regard other Carribeans ( Barbados, T&T, etc) as 'smallies' meaning small islands. Believe me, theres huge animosities betweeen them,  We seem to have that big island mentality because we are the biggest black nation, have a huge amount of oil deposits, we have a lot of stinking rich people and beacuse we  seem to be creative with money.

My worst experience with immigration will probably be in Sri Lanka enroute to London via Singapore. We were checking into the departure lounge and all of a sudden two immigration officers spring up and start checking peoples passports. I am thinking thats wierd because most of us are on transit and as such we do not need to deal with any Immigration guys in Sri Lanka. Me being a patriotic Citizen I have my Nigerian passport. When it is my turn to show my passport ,  guess whathuh the guy takes one look at the passport and starts fiddling with it,  4 mins, 8 mins, he's not done yet,  I am getting really pissed, so i asked if anything was wrong and he replied that he has never seen a Nigerian passport before so he has to verify the authencity of the passport. I am totally gobsmacked,  I have a lot of visas on the passport and i know Asians are funny with Nigerian passport but this is got to be the flimsiest excuse ever. He asks what my immigration status is in the UK,  Dual Citiz, do i have any proof of where i live? and thats where i lost it. I told him off severley and the next thing i know they got a woman from the Uk High Commission in Colombo to come and verify my details!!! Luckily she was a black woman and i explained to her what happened and i got to know that they had some problems with dodgy Nigerians hence i was paying that price. A t the end of the day I made the guy apologise. I swore never to go through that God forsaken country or their airline ever again.

Its the typical hypocrisy inherent in second generation immigrants. They see all those stuff about Africa on TV and they believe all those sterotypes and therefore they try in every opportunity to knock Africans thinking as they are doing so that they are different / superior, Dude in plainspeak you've got issues with your African background dont bring it up here pls.

Singapore is visa free. Immigration tried to pull a fast one on me though, saying i had a diff picture on my passport, other than that its hassle free.

British Airways - I would never try them again. They seem to treat Nigerians like dogs. I have experienced that on several occasions.
Sri Lanka Air: My worst worst 14 hours ever. It wasnt enough that I was the only black person on d plane, let alone Nigerian.
Emirates / AirFrance: Best flights ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
