Exactly why does anyone think their support or lack of support actually makes a difference in this case when you’re not a member of her family. Either 19 or 22, she is an adult who needs only the consent of her family. Marriage does not stop her from taking her education to the next level if she chooses too. Personally, I hate polygamy. I see some of you guys blaming Regina Daniels for her choice in marrying a man that is old to be her grandfather, some of you are calling her runs girl, gold diggers, yahoo girl and all sort of names but if you guys can see the big picture, you will understand that this marriage is a classic case of arrange marriage, let it be known, arrange marriage is real in Nigeria.

Regina Daniels a 19 years old woman is mature enough to get married to anyone so I see no reason for the hate..but lets think for a moment, do you think she freely choose to be the 5th wife of a billionaire, I guess NO..she must have wanted the prince charming, the young, dark and handsome man that is every girl dream especially when they are 19 but her mother had another plan for her.

there must have been a jokely preposition from the old man to the mother concerning the young girl and the young girl must have complained after listening to her mother but the constant pressure from her single poor mother and family members must have been a major determinant for her in marrying that very old rich man and saving the family from poverty. We should not forget that her mother is a poor woman who loves the good life after mixing with Hollywood celebrities due to her daughter role as an actress,so her only way to get the good life and live beyond others is to sell her young and beautiful daughter to the highest bidder thereby disregarding her daughter happiness...she must have seen her daughter as a small child, who can't make decisions on her own and does not know what she wants.

I see nothing wrong in a rich man wanting a young and beautiful fertile girl but what I see wrong is the way the act was done. I am sure this young girl might not want anything to do with that old man because this is someone she sees as her grandfather, or someone old enough to born her, you know the respect and the fear, you know all those stuff that comes with respecting a senior member of the society.

Now that they are married and her mother is now an inlaw, I wonder how she will deal with the older children and the older wives of the man..do you think she will be accepted and won't live a sad and lonely life..she must be wondering how her young and vibrant youthful life and energy have ended just because of the selfishness of her mother.

Anyway, funny enough how we are fast to blame northerners whenever we see a young girl of 18 marrying an older man..we shouldn't forget that arrange marriage is real in everywhere in Nigeria and even common among our southern, eastern and western elite.

For example, if someone wipes catarrh from his nose with his hands or goes to the toilet without washing his hands, it would be considered disgusting for most normal people.

Some folks feel the EXACT same reaction to homosexuality. They find it filthy and disgusting.

The problem is, unlike other forms of disgusting behaviour, gays want their behaviour legalised and they want to punish those who find their behaviour disgusting.

That's where the "hatred" comes from.

Or u need do na to streatch leg from morning till night watching cable while ur servants are doin ur bidding. See ehn many of dese wives with their husbands overseas are living well and especially if d man is well off over dere. flight ticket to south africa and south east asian countries is 80k as i heard..to the US na 400k...to italy na 150 or 200k.its like na US own cost pass. I have heard scarey stories of nigerian ladies in nigeria brought into europe and US as wives. There was one my friend's aunt based in germany told us wen she came back to nigeria about one guy who came to marry one igbo chick he saw on facebook. Dude married her then carried her with him to germany and some few yrs later the guy died mysteriously and dis lady was fighting with the lawyers to inherit all d man's property. Weda na poison or weda na illness kill d man nobody knows. But one tin my friend's aunt told us was dat during the preparation for man's burial the lady was jus busy making phonecalls for arrangement to secure the man's properties. Dat story fear me. Someone will carry a woman that will eventually kill him and inherit his properties and share with her lover all cos the man wanted to marry a traditional home based african wife.odikwa risky.

i recall wen i was in 100 level there was this local club near our hostel lodge. Though d club wasnt as bubbling as then cos of cult issues as at wen i rented a lodge opposite it. It was run by one guy who just came back from holland. The guy is married to a dutch lady over in holland and wen he came back to naija he married a local girl . The girl is very dedicated ehn but d man for once hasnt taken her once to holland.all she does is clean up d club and when he's around in naija she performes d wifely duties. D man likes to brag a lot about his exploits overseas. He will brag to us dat he even has another wife in germany plus d one in holland and dat he has sampled all women all over.he will be saying all this in his nigerian wife's presence ooo and she will just be silent and looking. Any yankee based or oversea base guy u see coming back to make arrangements to collect their wives are those ones who really really love their wives and they trust them. Those ones wey family friends arrange nigerian wife for dem u think say dem go gree carry their wife come. Many of them already have a family with their oyibo wives and u know oyibo women no dey tolerate nosense. U cheat na divorce straight. So they prefer the nigerian wife just remain in nigeria while they come only on xmas and easter to perform husband duties or if they are well off they can come some other time. Their some rude ones who come only once in every six or seven yrs to see their wife. Nigerian women that agree to do such arrangement dey try i swear.
