Mickolad:Transport & Getting Here: A flight from Nigeria to Liberia will run you roughly ₦400,000 (Airpeace is the most affordable airline currently running this route from Nigeria). Going by road costs about 50% less, though it comes with the usual cross-border travel nuances and fatigue. Accommodation: Just like anywhere else, housing costs depend entirely on the neighborhood and quality of the place you're looking for. Jobs vs. Business: There are plenty of Nigerians holding executive positions here, but almost all of them were hired outside Liberia and transferred in (seconded) by their organizations. Getting a job on the ground is tricky because working legally requires a work permit, a cost and hassle most local companies aren't willing to cover for a new hire. Because of this, about 80% of Nigerians in Liberia run their own businesses. Liberians love buying goods from Nigeria because items in Nigeria are significantly cheaper and offer far more variety. Importing products or setting up a trade/retail business is usually the most viable route for someone coming in independently. Before relocating to Liberia last year, there was minimal information out there to guide the transition. I could tell y’all for free that it’s not so different from Nigeria. I’m known to adapt easy so that may not be every other persons experience. That said, I’m creating this to help those who are looking to visit Liberia/Monrovia. Good day Techies, Please I am looking to get a Laptop for a young scholar. My emphasis is on durability and speed as it is to be used for programming. Background Story: The young man recently got awarded a scholarship into a bootcamp to start a programming journey but has no system. Ofcos, he is devastated as the bootcamp starts in a few days... I guess what the lady was trynna say is shit happened that almost messed up her day.. and another event happened that almost made her forget the troubles she faced earlier in the day. Hello OP, Logic and Reasons definitely work in your favor and the decision you have made. Reading through, I can't say for a fact that you truly want this woman. Emphases has been largely on your son and the ideal family you look to raise (You're a good father, he'd be proud to call you dad). I don't know much, but I know forever is too long a time to be unhappy. Lifelong decisions like this are taken with full considerations. Maybe this is all for the best or not, we never know. However, let now count; get all you need (access to your son, documents et al). You'd definitely find someone whose values and beliefs closely aligns with yours.  my own half a cent |
