Environmental Management is only close to Environmental Engineer, which implies the curriculum would not match in totality. Having said that, your work experience also appear to off the closest occupation to your course of study. It’s just mere observation from a newbie like you , let the immigration scholars here respond satisfactorily. |

Jennypharb1: With your masters degree and an IELTS score of 8777 in Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing, you get 447 points. 447 these days may not be enough to get an invitation to apply because even those with 450-460 are still waiting.
However I'd you max out scores on your IELTS e.g. get a 7.5 in writing instead of a 7, a 7.5 in speaking instead of a 7, an 8 in reading instead of a 7 and an 8 in listening, then you'll be able to get about 456 points which puts you in a better position to get an invitation to apply.

Just play around with this tool. IELTS is a bit difficult but if you put your mind to it I'm sure you can do it.
If you start from page 1 of this part, you'll be able to get a good feel of what the process is about since you've already been on the Australian thread you'll understand better. Part 1 also contains links to previous threads so you can always get to other threads and see more information when you need it
I do not know if you stand a better chance on this path because I don't know what your chances are on the Australian PR path so just look around and ask questions when you don't understand and you can make your decision afterwards Thank you so much bro, I’m highly indebted |

Zeezii: you will get 450 CRS with IELTS 8777 for LRWS. Which is not a bad score Thanks for your contribution. |

Ugomaxx: @ Zeezi, @Sienakab being at 450 is not bad. My hunch is ITA will eventually start falling on & crushing (on a lighter note) people in that CRS score range. Just give it time. The problem is that @Jennyphab1 is right, his score really is 447 and not 450, unfortunately, which is very tricky even under the most optimistic permutations. So, @Sienakab my good man, you've to max out your ielts to stand a good chance. You're here now, so you might as well take it easy and read from Page 1,i have a feeling you'll be glad you did. Thanks for the inspirational response. That your feeling inspires me. I will work hard on IELTS. |

Good day everyone,
I have been on Australia thread for long, reading and preparing for PTE until yesterday that someone advised me on the thread that Canada would be easier for me with my Msc. So quickly searched for Canada thread, upon getting here, I found out it’s another reading task. I have started the reading here, but with up to 8 parts, I get disturbed. Infact i have calculated my point, I didn’t get up to 350, maybe I didn’t calculate well
I’m 33 years of age, ND in Civil Engineering in 2005 Bsc in Civil Engineering in 2010 Msc in Civil Engineering in 2018 I have minimum of five year working experience I’m single.
My questions are: Considering my profile, do stand better in Canada PR? Which of the parts of this thread will be the most important to read?
Can I get straight forward tips from a civil engineer here that has similar profile ?
Thanking you in anticipation. |

[quote author=Bnimz post=79379947]First of All, since you have a Masters degree, Canada is currently much easier for you to process.. infact, with just above Average English scores, it will be a breeze... Bear that in mind.
To answer your question - (since you'll need to prove work experience for Canada as well anyway) - Contact the specified companies and have them provide you with backdated payslips and employment letters. These payslips should match the company name and match the payments made to you, however do not provide bank statements unless you are asked to do so....
If you are asked to provide bank statements, it is not going to be a problem because it actually happens quite often that the officialname of an organization is different from the account name they use... You'll be fine as long as the amounts and dates on the payslips match the stuff in your bank statements.
Don't forget employment letters o... If possible, reference letters too...
Cheers.
Good day, thanks for the advice, I’m very grateful. I have found the thread, it has gotten to PART 8, i did calculate my point, I get less than 400. it doesn’t seem to be that easy. |

[quote author=Alphadoor post=79370695]Third party evidence is important for your assessment in other to claim work experience points. Although this not impact your positive outcome if your CDR is well written.
Thank bro.... I have been busy reading the thread, Hope to see someone that will be of help. |

Good day house, I have Bsc in Civil Engineering in 2010 and Msc in Civil Engineering in 2018. I have been working since 2012. My core working experience is in building construction. I did my COREN registration in 2016. One thing that’s has been bothering my mind on whether to apply is how to get enough evidence of working because 90 percent of the companies I worked with paid directly with individual accounts (accounta that don’t carry company’s name) and they don’t pay tax. Pls how can I get a good assessment with EA having in mind that my core experience is in building construction . Thank you in anticipation. |

Threemg: From QUORA, Just to encourage the Post ITAs before submission, Ensure all "I"s are dotted and all "T"s crossed. We shall all testify to HIS glory
Hi,
I did the following
Got my IELTS score. The Score was 9- 8–7.5–7.5 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool: skilled immigrants (Express Entry) - went here and checked my CRS score it was 478 for myself and 468 when I included my spouse ( my wife was pregnant at that time). Did my Education Credential Assessment from World Education Services at https://www.wes.org/ca/. I applied for this and wrote IELTS in parallel it took more than 30+ days to get the doc in hand. One I had both IELTS score and education assessment I was ready to apply for your PR. Applied for PR through express entry program at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada | Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada. Horrified to see my CRS score got dropped to 443 points. Found out that since I had work experience among different NOC, CIC only took my recent NOC experience and reduced my points. Luckily got ITA in the next draw itself, minimum score was 440. Now it was the time to get all the required documents such as medical certificate for both my wife and myself. police certificate for both experience certificate for both. proof of funds statement. Submitted all documents and paid fee for PR processing and right for permanent residence. Once again horrified to see a message saying my application got cancelled after 3 weeks. The reason being I have not submitted documents for my new born baby since The baby is only 1 month old when I submitted application for PR I have foolishly mentioned I have minor son in family details then only applied PR for myself and my wife. ( I thought I would change application once I get documents for my baby) Reapplied express entry on the same day of rejection. Again got ITA the next day itself, the minimum score was 441. Got all documents for my baby. Resubmitted all the documents and repaid the PR processing fees for 3 ppl this time. Lesson learned, even if double / triple check everything something might always go wrong. Do not loose hear and keep at it. Good day. You really did well in IELTS. How did you make this scores. I need tips and materials thank you so much. |

fonseca1929: Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions please.I have been assessed by EA as a professional Engineer(Mechanical Engineering).First, I have a skilled experience of 20 months(1 year and 8 months) in Nigeria and most of the regions that I want require you to have 2 years. However, I do not know if it is just for skilled experience. This is because I have a lot of unskilled experience in the UK.Again, I want to know at what point can one cease to modify application(after EOI or ITA).I intend to get married before the second half of next year.I am scheduled for PTE next month before returning home,so I do not know if I should halt the PR process till two become one.Thank you in advance. Good day, pls how did you go about you assessment by EA. I'm a professional Civil Engineer in Nigeria (COREN registered). I have up to 6 years post graduate experience in Building Construction. I'm 31 years old. Pls you put through. Thank you in anticipation. |
