Bethiano: At this point I really do not know what or who to turn to?
My plans are crashing on me, first I missed my appointment with the embassy cos nddc award was not ready. I tried to book another appointment and the embassy gave me a date 2 weeks after my enrolment date in the university.
And it takes less or equal to 8weeks to get visa after interview.

To get admission in the 4th best university in germany no be beans, its like to be admitted to harvard. Plus 5 admissions in the uk.
I simply want to go to germany, to gain real time practical knowledge, its all I ask! Uk masters is same thing with a masters in Nigeria, its simply bullshit. Thousands of uk graduates can't do shit, they haunt for jobs alongside the naija guys, so what's the point. if they had gone to america or europe am sure, life will be better for them. Yet, nddc and the rest wants uk. Their reasons is best known to them, am not interested.

I don tire, am near 'giving up' . At least I don try. I have made all efforts humanly possible to achieve my dreams of studying abroad.
I guess I should just, forget all this scholarship things. After all, my father is late and my family is no where in the corridors of power, that means getting nddc scholarship will be a miracle. Because by my calculation , some ppl here have confirmed their slots on the list, I can't imagine GEJ's list, senators list, abuja list, oba and emirs list that will flood the MD of nddc's office. Mtchewwwwwww

I just realised that it has been a waist of time all along. The only thing that can happened is the move of the BIG HAND OF GOD in this matter.

Dear God, if this post shows no faith and doubt ,am sorry ,am only human. Forgive me in advance.

As for those of you whose parents and big uncles in abuja have messed up or are intending to mess up this selection process, just know that I am smarter, more intelligent and brilliant than you all. Put me in same class with you, I will disgrace your parents corruption skills .

Spend our oil money and comeback, u will still be worthless. If only ur parents were wise enough to spend part of the money they have stolen to pay ur fees I won't bother since their stealing tactics was clean with no traces. instead they come here to frustrate the hustle of genuine and humble Nigerians who truly need this education. For those truncating the good intentions of young nigerians like me, cold ground will be their portion, rock will be their pillow, termites and rodents their companions.

This will be my last post here! I will not come here again, except if miracle happens I.e if I miraculously get a text or call to receive the award ( ...hahhhahahha, u should imagine the look on my face ..lol).
For those of u who will say 'this guy is psycho", pls examine urself if you are not same, be sure ur faculties are intact.

Well I will stay put with my distinction in my recent masters, possible go to OSU or any other messed up nigerian university and get a PhD or change my mind and try UI or UNN (that will mean my 3rd academic journey), never IFE (yoruba fundamentalist' ) or UNILAG ( fashion and effisy concious uni), UNIBEN (city of witches).

For those who will genuinely get this award, I wish you well. Even in the UK, the spirit of Chinua Achebe will direct you . You would not be a waste. Infact, for you to come this far, proves you are smart and fit to join my league of 'primus inter peres '. Success shall be your own.

Be wise, out smart the children of those criminals who call themselves our leaders.

And let me state this, should I get this scholarship, it is a confirmatory test that the process is transparent. Well I don't care what you think , my success in this process is the rate determing factor, because am sure I scored higher than you in the qualifying test.

Okay! Am done

Bye everybody. Wish you goodluck and to those people badluck.
grin lmao this post just made my morning.

EducationRe: One Of Mycousin Admission This Year So Should He Go To Alevels Or Predegree by sifo: 8:46am On Sep 10, 2014
isoh: Yes with an A level result, you are offered admission to 200L in any Nigerian university and in any course via direct entry.
As an A level result holder you don't apply to write jamb(UTME) you rather purchase the Jamb DE form, feel and submit back to jamb office. Jamb does the processing and send your name to your desired school for admission. Atimes and for some schools u don't even need a post UTME
If its direct entry den u'll still have to write Post DE ? And Post DE admission slots are fewer than UTME . Be specific with reference to schools like Uniben and Uniport
EducationRe: One Of Mycousin Admission This Year So Should He Go To Alevels Or Predegree by sifo: 11:02pm On Sep 09, 2014
Do u really start from 200 level with A'level result or IJMB? Someone should pls elaborate on Hw this two processes work because I have a cousin that's been making noise about it and we've been telling him to shut up and face Jamb again.
EducationRe: Pressid Scholarship Aptitude Test Scores - First Class Graduates by sifo: 3:47pm On Sep 09, 2014
mieluv: Hi everyone, its quite unfortunate all that data got lost but no use crying over spilt milk. They took 101 in the first set and 104 of us in the second set.
Our own exam was general aptitude; quantitative, logic, current affairs...no road signs. We can't be certain if the format will change but then work hard and aim for 75 and above out of 100.
The most important thing is actually getting your admission, you should start now especially if you want the US schools cos by the time the list is out, it's too late to get US admission. Our list came out in May.
Sorry for the fairly long post but I learnt a lot from this thread and this is the least I can do, I'm starting lectures tomorrow so I may not come here much.
having said all that, my unsolicited advice - its a transparent process so drop the sentiments /bias, give your best shot and I wish you all favour.
Pls how long is the scholarship offer valid for? does it mean if one gets it and cant use it by Sept 2015 its over?

EducationRe: Nddc Postgraduate Scholarship 2014 by sifo: 7:04am On Aug 15, 2014
MoyoGENERAL: pls bro, how much is the tuition fee for AUST Abuja? is it fully sponsored like IPS?
Tuition fee is $15000. There is usually a screening exam and d top 2 students get full scholarship which also covers feeding but no stipend. Others get scholarships of $5000. Generally scholarship depends on your performance in the screening test, full scholarships could be awarded to more than 2 candidates based on performance.

chivitech: Bros, e go better for you ooo. Abeg make dem dey deceive themselves. na fear dey make them talk like that. Dey are just consoling themselves.
Fear of what? Consoling ourselves from what? . Up till this this point ur comments on the issue have been quite mature but SMH for this statement. Wish u all the best at Oxford
EducationRe: Nddc Postgraduate Scholarship 2014 by sifo: 7:20pm On Aug 10, 2014
csimms7: I've been following all what you all have been saying and I have one thing to say to those who said they'd forfeit. That's real weak talk. Balderdash. Rubbish! Forfeit kor forfeit ni! Na lack of information dey kill us for this one country we dey oooo! Let's look at the facts here. As stated the first school in Nigeria to appear amongst the top schools came in at about 3000, all the schools affiliated with the nddc fare way better than that. IPS we are talking about is not a university. It's for professional courses! It's like going to India for a professional course in automation, instrumentation and control that's why it's expensive and their affiliates also. Let's argue here with facts. We are waiting patiently and I pray we all get this then make I see una wey wan forfeit.
No one said NDDC is bad we only made comparisons between the quality offered and opportunities available afterwards. My advice for u is to try and interact with previous nddc scholars and scholars from the Institutes I mentioned then draw ur conclusions from that, ur comparison with professional courses in India is completely wrong. I would want to go into details explaining IPS and d rest but that's not necessary here. This gist has derailed the thread enough biko let's go back into info on wen d mysterious invite will come in and TB test and lemme become a silent observer once more.
EducationRe: Nddc Postgraduate Scholarship 2014 by sifo: 2:49pm On Aug 10, 2014
cabaye: i understand where you are coming from about bogus universities in uk. its not worth doing some business and hse courses in the uk when we have nebosh in nigeria.

i would agree with you completely if you said nigerian masters would be a good option if you had a field related job at the moment but lets use my case study as an example: assuming i get the scholarship and my admission to portsmouth uni msc geology has been cancelled, nddc now offers the option of studying environ petroleum technology in coventry or forfeit it. what Will you advise me to do after all the stress??
Like I said b4 if u have no alternative then u can take it.
EducationRe: Nddc Postgraduate Scholarship 2014 by sifo: 2:45pm On Aug 10, 2014
chivitech: Okay, I understand your point now and I am inclined to agree with you. With God's help, I made sure I got admission into at least 5 top schools in UK. I am going to the University of Oxford afterall to study Computer Science. So I think that in my case, IPS is not an option for me even if it comes begging and crawling.

The only case you are stuck with Coventry and the likes is if you have not gotten admission earlier or if you do not have enough money to complement NDDC's $30000. I got admission in Oxford by February based on faith that I would get a sponsor and I did my tb test in June based on the same faith.
Good for you. But NDDC's 17800 pounds won't cover ur living expenses and accommodation so it means u have enough cash to settle that.
