PoliticsJonathan Manipulated Pdp To Get Ticket — Waku by silami(op): 2:39am On Jan 22, 2011
Senator Joseph Kennedy Waku is a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who represented Benue North/West senatorial district between 1999 and 2003 in the Senate. In this thought-provoking interview with Saturday Sun, Waku takes a look at the just-concluded primary elections of the PDP and concluded that President Goodluck Jonathan stole victory at the party’s presidential primary election.

Hear him: “What is rigging? Rigging is stealing. It is a polite way of addressing political arrangement as rigging. Rigging is stealing. So, Jonathan Goodluck has stolen the mandate he knew for sure he wouldn’t have won.”

Waku commended former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for his stance over the outcome of the PDP presidential primaries, saying: “I encouraged Atiku not to even congratulate Jonathan because you can’t encourage stifling corruption. Somebody who is absolutely corrupt, then you go to congratulate him for being corrupt? We encouraged Atiku not to. Indeed, we warned him not to congratulate Jonathan because he did not win the primaries. It was full of corruption. How can a president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria induce people? This is the worst presidential nomination that took place in my entire lifetime. This is the worst. Did you see any jubilation in Jonathan’s camp? There was none. They knew what they did. It is a shame, it is a murder of democracy and it is embarrassing. PDP is a corrupt organisation that can never be better until we work hard to rectify it.”

On the expected winner of the forthcoming presidential election, Waku said: “I don’t know who will win. I know that Jonathan will not win, but I don’t know who will win.”
He spoke on this and other sundry issues.

Dede1:
I usually do not cross words with sycophants or individuals of regrettable intellect such as you. I am not surprised about your incoherent response because it is laden with insults. But let me remind you that nobody holds monopoly to act of insults.

I guess your actions are very deceitful, disingenuous and outright display of ignorance. You tried to delve into a socio-political area you knew nothing about by throwing incomprehensible question about Igbo unity or lack thereof. If mere political disagreements by insane operatives in a cesspit called Nigeria informed your lunatic opinion about Igbo Unity, it is very human to allow you to continue to wallow in political stupor.

Let us apply a little sense of academia to your lead question of “Can Igbos Ever Be United”? A second grader would discern the poser of this question had previous knowledge of futile attempts to get Ndigbo united. The obligation to proof your intellectual pedigree as you would want us to believe rests on you by rephrasing the question.

You injected the idea of literal and metaphorical bent to this discuss. I shall honestly posit you lacked the inert ability to engage in both exigencies. If you were a novice seeking answers to the unity of Ndigbo or lack thereof, you would have parked you dilapidated self into a cooler while other people proffer solutions. However, the ulterior motive to subject Ndigbo to socio-political scandal spurred your idiocy to append a drivel laden with illogical emptiness as the rejoinder to a silly question worthy not to be asked.

In fact, inquiring from you on how you informed the opinion that insults hauled on this forum is done exclusively by Igbo is akin to putting a question to a goat. Did I read from your gibberish post that your fiancé is Igbo? I thought a goat begets a goat.

Believe me, you are qualified to be mercilessly insulted for asking silly question and needed to be robotically flogged for the display of delusional idiocy in the public. Olodo!!!
Two things that I know very well:  not all smart people play chess, but no dumb person plays chess. Is Dede1, a fine gentleman, is he a symbol of Igbo's budding democracy. Was Dede1 an unrepentant ethnic bigot  exponent or a man that played to the gallery or it was just a case of political naivety. Oh, no one should hold me on this, but does Dede1 understand the real topic of discuss or is another volture like character that claimed to be applying a sense of academia in rubbishing himself?.

You took this whole issue  and turned it into a debate to display your ignorance. This goes again to show that one of your real big problems  you just can’t seem to stay on point.A question is ask and you jump out of the woodwork to put your on personal spin on it. the real problem here is that you knew there was a lack of unity among igbos politically just like you find in other ethnic groups so it is not exclusive to igbos alone. I expect someone like you who claimed to have a 'sense of academia' should adress the question asked in coherent and consistent manner not delving into so many issues at the same time without addressing non, i ma not surprise anyways, this just shows how crappy is your mindset.  we don’t have in place any type of system to deal with the issues our question raised. I could get totally out of line and suggest that if someone at sometime had lived and travel round the country as you claimed maybe we wouldn’t be having this discussion at all. I could but then I would be just as bad.

As much as I agree that every tribe in Nigeria, have problem, yet i expect , my impatience, the arm-chair critic, I say with avoidance of doubt and with strong conviction that the present you are the dumbest person i have ever come across in this forum, but thank goodness i know all igbos are not like you.  The yam is yours, farm is yours, you have fertilizer, best of farm implements, the reason why you would fail is because you all never wanted to succeed, so prove us wrong and pleeeeaasee succeed in uniting Igbos politically. No dumb person sits in in here but not all the smart ones are part of the process. talking of my ethnicity here you go again of what relevance is it to this discussion if you re so dumb that from my name you can tell, then go and hang yourself. Jaki

Dede1:
This incoherent piece of crap did not address the issue which you raised. By the way, are Ndigbo disunited? If so pal, can you please elaborate in a concise prose? Believe you me; you deserved to be insulted based on this drivel you posted. You alleged that Igbo on this forum are the exclusive bunch that hauls abuses to the northerners. May ask how you arrived to such repercussive exigency since contributors do not the flash their ethnic identity when they post.

If you have issues with the Ndigbo, I suggest you step onto the plate and bring it because Ndigbo are capable of taking constructive criticism and detest this illogical jargon you posted
.

Of course there is cross section of not-too-smart individuals in any given ethnic group. Having said this, Ndigbo had nothing to prove to anybody in Nigeria but only ask to be given the same opportunity to compete or be granted the same level playing ground as given to everybody. Since the inception of the cesspit called Nigeria, have you ever heard about Ndigbo rampaging in Igboland thereby destroying properties or business of their fellow country men because of secular differences? You cited Ezza and Ezilo crisis as an example in your regrettable crap. I guess you were stark blinded to uncountable land and territorial disputes that occurred all over the communities in Nigeria.

I have traveled to almost all party of the colonial contraption called Nigeria and what I observed shall remain with me. Since you are self-acclaimed expert on Igbo Unity or lack thereof, can you educate us on the instances of disunity among Ndigbo?

By the way, your handle name did not indicate your ethnicity.
I argue with the stationary, not to be confused with Stationery. I mean the anchored, immobile & unmoving with an unintelligent mind
Anchored, immobile & unmoving in a literal & metaphorical sense.

I suppose you can be viewed as Stationery of a kind I that arguing with them because I am, like one can be seen as, an idiot attempting to apply emotional sense to an impassive world. So i suggest when dealing with whatever daily frustration you have, most dumb people like you greatest & most ubiquitous tool since the hurled rock has cast their way, have found themselves starting to resort to using threats.
And for for you to come here and begin unintelligently putting down your high school theories of logic confirms how really slowpoke you have been in addressing issues that affect your egos and went further to show your inability to understand simple english. Did i raise the issues so that i can address them myself or so that people that understand the issues, not self acclaimed intelligent ethnic bigots like you can atleast constructively address them.

if asking questions, i deserve to be insulted as reiterated in rubbish above i wonder where your claimed tolerance go? Did you really read my original post? did you see the word politically there? so why is your primitive brain not able to give meaning or understand the post?

I am busy at work now i will post the rest later when i get home. mumu

@miss cork or whatever you call your name. I understand that when your mother was in the business of prostitution God worked out miracle for you to be born b4 she got infected by the popular thing. Now that you are managed to be raised by philanthropist, you don't know how precious are fathers and mothers are to their children thats why at every slightest opportunity you insult them. Now i will not insult your mother because she had enough of life already as for father, you don't know who fathered you for sure either the short term customer or overnight we don't know so lets keep that aside.

I know Igbos very well because i schooled in the East UNN to be precise and when you are talking of backwardness go to Ebonyi you will see it. I went for night vigil in the church we were surrounded by armed robbers. in another instance the whole city of Abakaliki was held to ransom by these armed robbers they were going from bank to on Sam Egwu formally Ogoja Road. In Ishieke Campus where my girlfriend was and i used to visit her every weekend killings were rampants and you're talking killings in the north. I don't for once subscribe to the killing of human beings no matter what happened. In 2008 Ezza and Ezilo people clashed which  has claimed more than 600 lives with property worth more than N1 billion destroyed are these abokis NO of course they are Igbos. But what continue to amaze is the way you igbos think  that killing is only in the north and therefore all northerners are killers, dumbs, ignorants and illiterate and i know i have seen the worst illiterates in the east during my stay there as a student and please if people are talking of intelligence don't even think of igbos being the best because like in every other tribe there are brights and dullards igbos.

I brought this topic, i went to service my car and there was an Igbo guy there and was asking the same question i asked and he said so many bad stuff about Igbos , which i don't intend to pass those info here i my fiance who is an Igbo and she could not provide an answer. Its surprising to see how unintelligent igbos are full on this from instead of addressing the issue raised, you are busy insulting people thats further reveals how insensitive you guys are. there is no day on this forum that Northerners will not be either ridicule or insulted and many of them start insulting people here. I STILL ASK CAN IGBOS EVER BE UNITED?

@Silami:

Pls what's the essence of this thread?
Is your tribe united? I strongly doubt it.

Silami can you relate to this verse :"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye"
If you had taken time to read my original post, you wouldn't have been asking this uninformed questions. What baffles is the inability for igbos to absorb criticism.

“Any sign of disunity that is made public concerning Ndigbo is not good news. We would want such matters concerning our people to be settled within our fold and not to be treated publicly like this one.

“We are not taking sides but this is creating bad impression about our people. It shows there is open disunity. And it is not good for those involved and Ndigbo generally, hence, we want a situation where a level of understanding should be reached on this matter.” President-General of Ohanaeze, Ambassador Ralph Uwechue.

What i am saying just confirmed by your ow!

. An intelligent person would have tried to counter the serious points raise alj harem instead of insults. incase the points were not clear let me try putting them in form of questions:
1. what defines igbo culture? 2. what is Igbo? 3. Do igbos have kings or similar language? 4. do igbos have reasons to unite. I am sure with your primary education you will be able to answer these questions if alj harem was too sophisticated for you.

@ alj harem don't mind them i still need answer, which they don't have and so decided to go into insults.

I am asking this question because of what is happening in that region politically. Let me just give some instances here

1999-2007 the office of the Senate president was zoned to the Igbos and how many did we have? you do the math
2007-till date the office of the PDP chairmanship si zoned to the same Igbos how many already and still counting,  Is it that there is no unity or trust among the igbos? and how are we sure if they have the presidency, they will  not go the same path? just asking sha.

INEC machine rejects Obasanjo’s fingerprints
From MOSHOOD ADEBAYO, Abeokuta
Monday, January 17, 2011

It was a frustrating moment for former president Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday as his attempt to register in the ongoing voters’ registration was thwarted by the Direct Data Capture (DDC) machine.

Obasanjo who arrived his Ward 11, Ita-Eko, Abeokuta, the state capital at about 11.53 a.m. in company with his wife, Bola had after several rejections of his fingers by the machine offered to come back for the exercise after an overseas trip.

However, the former president who had to wait patiently for about an hour succeeded in registering after an Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Information Technology expert arrived the scene at around 12.45 p.m. and performed the registration.

Even with the presence of the INEC officials and the IT expert, the registration took about 20 minutes for the process to be completed, while the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mr. Martins Okunfolami and other INEC officials made frantic efforts to register the former president.

Before his eventual registration, when the first DDC machine failed, the INEC team, led by the REC changed its scanner and used two different ones which also disappointed them. Fielding questions from journalists, Obasanjo cautioned Nigerians against castigating INEC over the shaky start of the exercise. According to him, it was normal for a new programme such as the DDC technology-driven voters’ registration to experience challenges at initial stage even though he stated that it was too late to call for extension of deadline for the exercise.

“Whenever you are starting a new programme like this, it’s likely to have hitches until everybody masters it. Today is the second day. I believe that by the middle of this week, both the people who are carrying out the registration, the technicians, the INEC at the highest level will be able to make this work smoothly.

“So, I don’t believe that we should now start to castigate and to condemn. If, of course, by the middle of the week it’s not working as it should be, we will all see and then those who designed it would have to advise us how we can go about it. But for now, I believe let’s regard this as the hiccup of a new process.” “Let us not prejudge them, let’s give them time to think and rethink if rethinking is necessary,” Obasanjo said.

“Nigerians, be patient and let us all be determined to get ourselves registered. I have said I’m travelling tonight to Cuba, when I return; I will come and sit down here until I am registered. And as I said jocularly, if it is blood that is not running in my vein, I will go for blood transfusion to make sure that I can be registered,” he added.
