wizzyrich: My opinion though.
But truth be told, the problems of Nigeria is very enormous, one person alone cannot single handedly solve her problems except if everyone comes together willing to solve it.
But I'm sure it won't be possible anymore because these problems are very deep rooted. bro, it's simple... U take a chunk at a time... The first issue we need to address is employment. Give 80%-100% tax waivers for all sorts of investors willing to enter into the manufacturing industry, or simply make Nigeria an international transit point for transforming raw goods into finished product... and watch the ripple effect. However, various government institutions should be empowered by the constitutions to act Independently. It's only then will this suggestion, would become brilliant |

Dude won't even leave Nigeria without getting a job in Canada despite all our advise of breaking into the market. i am sure he know much more bout securing jobs. Lol.* * This does not apply to immigrants that came here on a student visa* lols... career suicide, it's no joke. Taking that step away from reality into uncertainty; gambling of life. dustydee: Here's something worth reading. I hear people say the UK gives you only 4 months to look for a job when in fact it is 12 months + additional 4 months after your studies.
https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-job-opportunities-for-Indian-students-after-doing-a-postgraduate-degree-from-the-UK plz, that's a subjective view of the writer and her opinion can't be generalised as regards the immigration policies of the UK, though she is in the rubric of the luckiest few fortunate to get a good job; regardless it's not a guarantee that everybody else would settle down, talk less of getting a job but one can only be hopeful that luck and fate work in one's favour. |

dustydee: I'll you refrain from making statements of facts if you are not sure. On the issue of not having enough time to apply for jobs, if between January and April you haven't gotten a job offer (for those that started their masters in September of the previous year) then it is going to be difficult to get one after that. One major problem I Nigerians have is that they believe there are no jobs even before coming. This, I believe, hampers their job search. It's a mind thing. PSW was stopped before I graduated but at least 3 of us in my class got jobs with visa sponsorship (2 Nigerians and 1 Ugandan). My spouse also got a job with visa sponsorship. There are a lot of companies that sponsor work visas and some end up not filling those vacancies. The govt has made it more difficult to hire foriegn non-EU workers but it is still possible if you prepare and sell yourself properly. Thanks for boosting our confidence to some of us here. plz what was ur course of study if I may ask? |

catchdwind4rmkd: To simplify what HSIM has said, and made add a little:
After getting the right IELTS SCORE (at least 6.0), you need to meet all the criteria summarised above by HSIM. For emphasis, 1. You're 31yrs old or younger as at the time of application 2. You're a recent (within the last 2yrs) ENGINEERING graduate. 3. Your degree was obtained from a recognised university (Australian, Washington Accord, Sydney Accord). If you graduated from a UK or Australian University, you're likely to meet this criteria.
Those are the minimum. So, for your question, to be successful;
1. You need to submit an online application to be considered. This is only certain once you've paid the application fee. 2. You need to upload all required documents, viz * scanned copies of i. evidence of degree qualification (certificate and/or transcript) II. Evidence of age (birth certificate or affodavit) Iii. Valid Identification (International Passport and/or Drivers Licence) iv. Valid Travel document (International Passport ) V. Recent passport photo (must meet the stated size or dimension) Vi. Completed "FORM 80" (This is a duplicate of the online form you've already filled. So, you must save or print out a copy of your online application and use same to fill your form 80 to avoid contradictions. Vii. Medical Clearance (You can only be able to upload your polio vaccination certificate. Your complete medical statement will be uploaded directly to your file by àny of the assigned clinics you choose to use. You can only do your medical clearance at selected medical centres which are listed on the application website. You're, however, required to complete an online self medical assessment) Viii. Evidence of Good Character (Police Character Certificate from all countries you've lived in for at least 12 months in the past 10yrs. This too can only be gotten from selected Police offices in the country) IX. Evidence of English Competency (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE) X. Proof of Address (bank statement, utility bills, etc)
You don't have to upload all these at the point of submission of application. You have time to do this after you've submitted your application, but the earlier the better.
A case officer will be assigned to you about 2 months from the date of submission of your application. Your case officer may contact you about the status of or decision on your visa application if you've provided all the required evidence. He may also contact you to request for additional documents or evidence if you're yet to submit them.
If you meet all the requirements and have provided all the proofs, you'll definitely be granted the Visa. It takes between between 2 to 6 months to know the outcome of your application. Surprisingly, no proof of fund is required for this visa. I hope I have been able to help. Others can enlighten you more in areas that I've not been detailed.
Best wishes. If you one bags a degree from a university here in Nigeria, so does it automatically rules out the chances of one getting this visa. Thanks in advance as I wait for ur reply |

yuddy2: im so sorry, been really busy lately. Well, I'm not on sponsorship yet because I really did not try to get one. I can afford to pay fees at least for the 1st semester, for the 2nd semester funding is easily available depending on your rapport with your professors and English language proficiency. You shouldn't let anything deter you from your dreams, not even money. You should know once there is a will, there will always be a way. People of little mind will always find a reason not to excel. So my advise is do all the necessary test, apply like crazy, Source for fundings like crazy and hope for the best. Thanks Mehn |
