Today am going to talk about how lazy most nigeria programmers has became when it come to writing proper codes and following proper procedures for payment system


Please when next you hire a programmer to integrate a payment system into your website please make sure he is using web hooks not callback url

Let me explain

Callback url is a page u redirect your user after successful payment

It is not secure , it can be manipulated with just simple firefox debug tools just view url and data sent via the http request and the type boom u will loose fund on your site

Web hooks in the other hand is more secure

It can only be triggered by successful event occurrence

Almost every programmer that use paystack , flutterwave are using their inline embedding code which make use of callback url to show that a transaction was successful or not

Apart from security

Web hooks saves you the time from running into troubles of user paying and not getting funded because their network dropped at payment page and wasn't redirected to success page


When next u are doing any web payment system try as much as possible to use web hooks and stop suffering the masses with everytime payment error

U are not the fish that swallow Jonah so stop swallowing people's money with outdated procedure

Why is access bank Charing all his customers 300naira for February stamp duty and 150naira for Apr what is so special about February or is it regular wayo from our bank

Almost all customer is getting debited I can remember clearing well I have paid for stamp duty for the last two months so why last three months and 4th month

I think that access bank has been hacked

Am a founder of a Hosting Company (betahost247.com) since 2016 and I understand what you have face with African Hosting.

My clarification goes like this, since 2015 we know as Africa hosting Companies, we have really improvement in performance. The issue of downtime is because servers might be hosted on self system.

In the issue of suspending an account without notification is a very bad habit most Africa countries does. This area needs to be look at.

My Abuse team do suspend users before sending the mail to them in respect to the complain received which lead to the suspension.

You shouldn't judge your past experience in 2015 with Africa hosting to the present upgrade made across hosting industry.

Na African hosting last year the site will always went offline every day 8pm 9:30pm it happens like a week before it stop

In as much as I love to patronize what is made in Africa , see our hosting all far behind the real world there is always story , company close , they are offline user loose data , etc disabling service without letting a user know e too many

Stop defending them u can support them by buy domain from them but for hosting I can't take such risk bro

On Sunday I did a transfer on one of the atm machine , 45k and at the end of transaction the atm will write efficiency fund error and the transfer will not go ,

I did it like 2 time and check account balance and the balance remained the same so I did withdrawal and went to pos to do the transfer getting at pos center I got shock when access bank started to debt my account for the so called transaction that was not successful

I called the person I did the transfer to and he confirmed he haven't seen any thing so I hand to wait till Thursday yesterday so that the bank will refund but guess what I went to the bank yesterday and they said it was successful I have called my friend and he show me his bank balance and the money has not entered


Now I have lost the business the money was planned to be used to buy product for
