tuniski: You are very wrong! 2015 was a renaissance statement by the north for a Return of power to The North! 2019, GEJ won't be on the ballot it will be true politics north against north. The dynamics are different! Ok, let's go for all elections before 2015 which were not renaissance statement and compare Atiku's and PMB's performance, you can also include other northern candidates if like. At the end of the day, PMB has consistently outperformed everyone of them. |

SouthEastFacts: Get your facts right. As of Jan, 2015 our foreign reserve was 34.5 Billion USD. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/2015-foreign-reserves-drop-to-29-13b-cbn/ Your APC depleted it.
Jonathan liberated and destroyed all Boko Haram camp before handing over, except Sambisa. He achieved this arm embargo placed on Nigeria.
https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/181458-boko-haram-nigerian-military-will-liberate-sambisa-forest-before-buhari-takes-power-nsa.html
The only security issued suffered under Jonathan was BH. But under this administration, aside BH, Shia muslim, Yoruba Militants in Ondo, Herdsmen in the middle belt, APC created security issues out of IPOB and Avengers.
It was under this administration that 97 Nigerians were killed by Camerounians in Bakassi according to BBC.
www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-40607306
It was under this administration our able Air force unprecedentedly bombed civilian population of IDPs killing 236 precious souls. Something that didn't happen under Jonathan in the height of all those BH madness.
https://www.voanews.com/a/nigeria-idp-camp-bombing-death-toll-adjusted/3689824.html Just 1 year alone in office (29th May 2015 to 28th May, 2016) 3094 people had been killed by Boko Haram and herdsmen under this administration. 2569 by BH and 525 by Herdsmen.
www.saharareporters.com/2016/05/28/more-3000-people-died-under-buhari-boko-haram-herdsmen
For security, am scoring GEJ last days in office over Buhari's 2 years in office. Its only a lazy fool who doesn't listen to news will believe APC scored high above PDP in terms of General Security. Why giving us the reserve as at January 2015 and not May 29, 2015? That is the typical example of who and what you are. Also, resorting to gutter language shows how pained and frustrated you are. I have nothing more to say to you. |

SouthEastFacts: If you are an Analyst, you should know that when make projections using historical data, there are variables you try as much as possible to hold constant.
Buhari was voted in because of his anti-corruption mantra and loads of promises he made but unable to fulfill. You have to put these into consideration because you can't hold them constant.
BH is ravaging the North East, Shia Muslims are not happy, Southern Kaduna are not satisfied and Herdsmen has devastated the entire Middle belt. You can't hold this factors constant.
Atiku just decamped. So you can't equally hold this constant.
Buhari contested against a Southerner, but 2019, he will stand against another Galadiator from the North. This will affect Buhari's followership in the North.
In a free and fair election, Atiku will not only beat Buhari, but will decimate him. It will even be a miracle for Buhari to retain Kaduna.
If you think Kogi will vote Buhari, sorry.
Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau will not entrust their security again to someone that couldn't protect them from Herdsmen.
Adamawa, Borno and Yobe will prefer to stick to a man who is suffering the same disease (BH) with them and will trust their security more to that man.
Kwara, Taraba and Jigawa will be effortlessly delivered to Atiku.
There are over 5 Million Shia Muslims in Nigeria. If 50% register for the election, that is over 2 million votes against APC.
Most North Western Christians will feel comfortable voting Atiku than Buhari. This will split APC's votes again in those area.
PDP as usual will collect their over 45% votes in the SW.
SS is a no go area for APC.
SE will deliver the final victory if they decide to break their political aparthy, which will definitely happen in 2019.
Finally, Nigeria will remain the same but far better than Buhari's Nigeria. You tried but not enough. The scorecard you've presented of PMB is clearly screwed to arrive at your biased conclusion. On Security, PMB has done creditably well and most in the NE are aware of this. Recently, the World Bank report on BH said that deaths as a result of insurgency in Nigeria has declined by 80%. Yet you want us to believe otherwise! BH was taking over Abuja and many cities and schools in the NE were practically in the terrorists grip. On corruption, selective or not, this regime has now made people to know that there is punishment for dipping their hands in the forbidden jar. The economy was in a total mess as exemplified by the Foreign Reserve of N25B left behind by GEJ when they sold crude above N100 per barrel. Today, that reserve has climbed to N33bn despite losing up to 60% of income from same crude. When PMB took over, the FG and many states were owing salaries. It was PMB that came to their rescue. I no get power to type now. But at the right time, be rest assured that the facts will be laid bare for you all to see. Atiku won't come close to defeating PMB in 2019. You can take that to the bank my friend. |

No amount of propping up will make Atiku defeat Buhari in any election except a rigged one.
PMB is worshipped in the North and we all know that. All past elections have shown that PMB cannot be defeated in a free and fair election in the North by anyone. So, Atikulaters should forget about the North.
The SW is firmly in PMB's hands no matter how you dice it. The only development that can change that permutation is if Atiku picks his running mate from SW. And that gives PMB an advantage in the SE which must feel ignored and slighted by Atiku's failure to pick one of their own.
And if he picks a VP from SE, PMB/VPYO easily wins the SW.
At the worst case scenario, the only region Atiku will win is SE, not even the SS. |

I like the way GEJ puts it when he says: "If Atiku begs Obasanjo and gets our ticket, he will compete well". Note he didn't say he will or can win BUT compete well. GEJ, just like many of us who know politics, understands that PDP cannot win 2019 election. They can only try here and there. Since 2015, they have suffered more painful losses in Edo, Ondo, Anambra and elsewhere. So, how will a serial loser/looter like Atiku bring any change in their fortune? I DEY LAAFFU OOOOO. |

Bede2u: ur analysis may not mean much. If Atiku picks a SE vp, most igbos will feel naturally inclined to him immediately cos a bird at hand is worth 2 in the bush. No guarantee APC will choose SE president in 2023. Tinubu may want to run. As for SS, they have historically gone with se in presidential elections as far back as 1960 including Edo, even in 2015. I dont see that changing in 2019 seeing that 5 out of 6 ss states are pdp as again 3 out of 5 in se. If Atiku picks a VP from SE, it means PMB/VPYO is clearing 90% of SW votes. Game over then. |

mercyp001: Do u also remembered dat in 2003,PDP got over 24million votes, represented over 61percent . And i want to remind u dat in dat 2003 PMB ran under ANPP and then ANPP was very strong in d North. Assuming u've been to North during election,u will understand better and u will knw d Northerners voting pattern. I did my NYSC at Zamfara, 2011,and i worked with inec,it was den i knw how Northerners vote. U knw dat zamfara is an ANPP state,on d day of election, those guys voted for ANPP(the present Gov),and he got almost 100percent of d vote in my polling unit. But when presidential election was held, those guys gave almost 100 percent of d vote to PMB of CPC. PMB won 2015 election because of APC,hatred for GEJ ,power must return back to North. Hope u remember that PMB unsuccessfully ran for the office of president in 2003, 2007 and 2011 general elections. Bro,b sincere to yourself,APC knws dat Atiku exit is a threat to dem. Keep believing whatever you want to. However, I know Atiku has no chance against PMB. |
Politics › Re: 2019: No Automatic Ticket For Atiku, Says PDP by SillyMods: 7:05am On Nov 25, 2017 |
Bede2u: lol the same PMB lost in Kastina in 2007. The north just wanted Obj out in 2003 thats why they voted pmb enmass. Meanwhile ANPP was not a small party in 2003. When in 2019 Atiku contests, the north will split their vote even tho pmb will still win north. Also west will split their vote eventho pmb will win west. Wat will determine victory is block votes from SE/SS And the as/se will be too dumb to prefer a new president from the North for another eight years thereby increasing the years it will take them to produce the president again, as against voting PMB for another four years and have a quicker shot at the presidency. When the time comes, we go analyze am properly for una. |

mercyp001: U will receive d greatest shock of ur life comes 2019. Hope u knw dat 2019 is between two Northerners, unlike 2015 when d hatred for GEJ and d power must return back to the North made PDP lost d election. So dis time around, votes frm d North will b divided. Though u may not understand what i am saying of u are novice in politics. Let me remind u dat Atiku has left APC and his folowers will follow him. Do not b deceived with d Statement dat Atiku is not a threat to dem, APC knows dat it is a serious threat. Remember dat PDP said the same when Saraki and Co decamped to APC,again if u are not a novice in Politics,u will know dat those dat decamped from PDP to APC then, contributed so much to d PDP lost. Conclusively,u will see d shocking events dat will start following d exist of Atiku. Atiku, Saraki, OBJ and many more were in PDP when PMB got over 12 million votes in 2003 as a lone ranger in opposition. He won in 2015 not necessarily because of SW as he only managed above 55% of the votes there. If you know a quarter of my political permutations ability, you'd know that Atiku stands ABSOLUTE NO CHANCE against PMB whose base remains solid and bigger than before. |
