FOR A MOMENT.. FRANCIS REMAINED SILENT WEIGHING THE PROS AND CONS OF ALL THE AVAILABLE WAYS HE CAN SAY IT OUT....

He took a deep drag... His mouth quivering at the words that was fighting hard to come out....
All eyes fixed all him.. All ears in the room waiting anxiously for what he has to say....

"I want to go home... "He finally voice it out.... "And i need your help to cross the river... "

Shock swept through the guards... They glance at each other assessing the impossible request....

King Dafuda exhales.. Then a scoff followed...he lean his right palm on the chair hand.. His two eyes fixated on Francis... Wondering why he will make such a request..... "No one has crossed the river before"He said after much stare...

Francis sigh.. A sigh of disappointment ..but he was hopeful. He had hope that the case will turn around in his favour...... "At least i can try..... "

"It's not about trying... You won't survive it.. Those who have tried end up missing.. Then thier bodies afloat after a while... This is impossible"

Francis exhales... He has done many impossible things lately... The word impossible was not something he was afraid of.....

King Dafuda squeaked when Francis didn't reply... "I have a better request for you.... "He said, nib his lip...."Because of what you have done... You will no longer be a slave neither will you be my son's servant but you will be one of my son with lands... Sheeps in your name.. "

Francis pout..... He doesn't want sheeps or lands... He just want to go home.... He took a deep breathe but didn't say a word....

"So shall it be then..... "King Dafuda boom out when Francis said nothing..... "If any one ask who you are... Tell them you are the third son of great king Dafuda of Mogula.....now henceforth, you shall no longer be addressed as Francis but prince Francis of Mogula...."

Francis bug his eyes.... surprise choking his throat.........he couldn't utter a word... His mouth quivering.. Fingers propelling against each other.. He stood with eyes slack-jawed..... He try to talk..... "I.. I.

"You don't have to say anything...."King Dafuda cut in... You are now my son and you shall be treated like one....you shall have your own chamber.. Your own servant...."

The tension was in everyone was tense..... No one believed what was happening but it was happening... ...
Just then the guards crunched down to their knees......

He scoffs when he heard Vuga's voice... He quickly turn to face him.... The title resounding in his ears....

"What is the new prince of Mogula doing in my room....? Vuga ask...

Francis suck his teeth..... "This is also my room.. I slept in this room for five years.. "

"Well not anymore prince... Father has given you a chamber... A room of your own.. "

Francis chulkled.... "Can you please cut off the prince and treat me the way you do before... "

Francis shrugged.... "I was expecting a scold from you.... For running away from my duties and embarking on a suicide mission that of course almost cost me my life.... "

Vuga scoffs...... "You know that was a brave but stupid thing you did...

Francis bug his eyes.... Astounded.... He blink... Then he fix his eyes on him.. His words resounding in his head....... "Did you just say that.... Or am dreaming?

Vuga nib his lips.... "What did you think Francis.... Come on wake up you are dreaming... ...."Vuga said then a chulkled followed...

"Now i know it was a dream.... That sound too good to be true.... "

Vuga giggled.... "So brother... Do you really want to go....?

Adesa nib her lip.. She gritted and continue weaving Katherine hair....... "He deserve everything he got.... He is great... He was a hero.. "

Both girls turn to face the door when it cranked opened.....

"Oh no...! Francis exclaimed.. Remenbering he forgot to knock.... "Sorry... "He snapped and quickly went outside.. He close the door... Took a deep breathe... Then he knocked..... He stood.... Adrenaline licking through him... He waited with faint pounding heart... For a reply to come...

He swallowed hard when it didn't come... He quickly delve into a stage of dilemma... Not sure if he should knock again or he should just go back quietly as if he was never here....

Finger clenching.... He Emit... Then he raise his hand to knock the second time... His hand freeze a finger distance to the door.... "Oh Francis.. You are screwed.... "He thought to himself.... An intense feeling rushed into him as his thoughts climbed into another level... A different dimension... A stage he didn't want to get to..... That heart throbbing stage.... That state where he will have to go into battle with what was dangling between his legs... He try to shake it off.. But it was stuck there.. Wasn't ready to move away... He sigh.. A deep sigh and gave in to it... His mind wandering on what if she was n*ked when he badge in.... His imagination widen.... Sending waves on his groin... He took a deep breathe..... "Francis where are you going... "He muttered silently to himself.....

He scan his eyes around... The guards stood a few pace from the door... Their eyes fixated on him probably wondering what he was thinking or why he was standing there in front of the princess room like a lost soul. A puppy that was searching for his home perhaps....

He insutilate.. Sucking in all the air he can take... But the thought was still there licking through him... Electrifying his bulge to its hard and long length inside his pants... He just want someone... Someone to knock him.. Reformatting him to focus....

His eyes drool on the door. .....an undercurrent feeling swept through him... What if she was angry with him.. Could it explain why the door wasn't opening.... He exhales.. What was he thinking when he went in like that without knocking.... The crazy kings decree of him been her brother was getting to him now......

He took a decision to walk away but he felt it will be stupid... He stood again.. Weighing the pros and cons of the explanation he is going to give when she opens the door... If she opens the door..!

Gently.. Not making any effort... He push his hand forward.. Almost to the door.....

He quickly withdraw his hand.. When the door opened suddenly...... Not knowing what to do... He grin stupidly at Adesa.....

With a big fat grin in his face... He put his two hands behind him..clenching them against each other..... "Hi.... "

"My prince.... "Adesa said and lour her head....

Francis exhales.... "You don't have to call me that...am still Francis... Old Francis.... "

"When did you become Vuga....?

Katherine voice interrupted him... He step in when Adesa step out of the way..... He caught her stare.... Then he realise she just ask a question.... "What.....?

"Only Vuga comes in without Knocking..... And as surprise as it is.. You did exactly that..... Is Vuga giving you advice on how to act like a prince.....?

"I am a....... "He pause when he notice Adesa was still standing there....

"Excuse me.. "Adesa said as if she could read his thoughts that he wants privacy.... Without hesitation she step out of the room closing the door behind her....

Katherine's gaze followed her until the door close.. Then she fix them back on Francis.... "You were saying.....?

"I am a prince... Have you forgotten i told you..... "

She emit... ."No i haven't..... Is that why you want to go.. Why you want to leave us..... ?

"I don't belong here.. "

"But you do now.... My father made you his son.... "

"I know... He gave me a title i already have.... "

"Isn't that enough reason for you to stay....?

He took a deep drag and walk towards her..... "I can't princess.... This is not my life... I have a home..... "

She sniff.. Then away her gaze.. Then she turn to face him again....... "So what do you intend to do.. You heard what father said.. It's impossible to cross the river...... "

"This is different Francis.... No one has survived in ogini river..... Nothing pass it....... "

It was an hour later when he took the decision to go see Danasiri.... He took a deep breathe when he got there. The stenched and scary setting of the place sent shivers down his spines..... Without hesitation... He went in..... A place no one except the king dare to enter....

Fear grip him when he saw the big devilish image near a burning flame... He scan his eyes around.. The images were everywhere... Sending danger to anyone who dares to set foot on the threshold of the scary shrine.... Dansiri face doesn't need to kill someone.... The scary images and setting of the place was capable of doing that.....

He went farther... Then he saw her sitting on the floor near a hole of water.. She was muttering words.. Probably chanting or praying to the gods.. Whatever....

"You are brave to come here KA-RU...... "

Her voice sent him quivering..... He took a deep drag trying to chase away the fear that seem to overwhelm him......

"This is the second time you are coming here........ "She added... Then she stood up to face him...

Heart pounding... Legs trembling... He drag his feet.... Moving towards her.. His eyes staring at hers.... He could his self in her eyes.... something in her eyes tells him to run.. Not to go further...

"I came to ask for your help...... "He said after much silence....

"What help can a KA-RU possibly ask from me.....?

"I need to go back to my home.... I need your help in crossing the river..... "

"Why speak of the impossible... Haven't you heard that no-one crosses ogini river and live to tell the story..... "

Francis grunts.... The stench of the place sniffing its way into his ears.... The open mouth horrible images hauling fear in him......... "You are the priestess.... You can make my case exceptional...."

"Even i cannot cross..... "

"So there is nothing that can be done... I thought am a KA-RU.... "He boomed out infuriated....

"I didn't say you can't cross... "

Francis sigh.... "So i can go home... "He said.. Enthusiasm wrecking through him...

"Yes.... You can.... Your being a KA-RU made you have access to the two worlds........ But your passage to the other world comes with a price...."

Shock swept through him.... "What price.. Tell me... I will do anything to go home.... "

"You must offer a life....... "

"A life........!... An animal life.... ?he ask anxiously

"Ogini takes no pleasure in accepting animals... A human life is what you must offer.... A healthy human life for safe passage.... Are you willing to sacrifice a human life to get home.....?.....the answer lies in your hands..






IS GOING HOME REALLY WORTH SACRIFICING A HUMAN LIFE......?

Just then.... Guards began to run out from behind them.... Even the ones the fog had covered became visible... They rushed out charioting songs of war......

"Retreat now and i might think of sparing you.... "King Dafuda added

King Jafar look around as the songs of war grew louder.... A shock expression etched on his face.... He didn't know the Mogula king had this large numbers of warriors.... It will be so unwise and stupid if he forge ahead with his plans.... He scoffs.. "Am impressed......i see this was your plan all along... "

"Did you really think i was going to give you what my family has laboured for.. For years without a fight..... ?king Dafuda queried.

"I must have underestimated you.... "

Dafuda scoffs..... "Get out of my land..... "

Infuriated.... Jafar climbed back on his horse...... "This isn't over Dafuda.. I shall be back and nothing will stop me from taking it when i return.... "

"And i shall be waiting for you. Because nothing will make me give you a treasure as precious as the goldmine my forefathers have discovered.... Never"

"We shall see about that soon..... "Jafar said... Then he mounted the horse.. He started riding and his warriors and guards followed........

They watched as their horses prick holes on the floor.... The horses galloping......

"Let's go home... "Dafuda said.......

Francis lour his head...then he raise them back... He grunts as his gaze met Vuga... Standing by his father's side... Then Gary.. Standing at his right side..... Beside Vuga stood Katherine..... She has changed from her dirty damp clothes into new glorious clothes spreading royalty ......

He nib his lips.... Wondering why the king had summoned him....

"You saved my daughter...... "

He sigh. When king Dafuda finally spoke up..

"I don't know how you manage to do it or how you got her cross coccus..... "King Dafuda exhales.... Still doubting the possibility of it.. But his daughter was here with him safe and sound and it's all thanks to the young boy standing before him......"You have no idea what you have done for me.. You have saved me a goldmine that has been in our family for years.. You saved me from a war and most importantly you saved my most priceless jewel... My daughter..... "

Francis pout. Almost at the verge of smiling....

"You deserve a reward... Name anything and i shall give it to you..... "

Francis bug his eyes.... He scan his eyes around.. Everyone waiting patiently for him to say something....

"What do you want....? King Dafuda continue..... "Is it sheeps.... Is it horses. Is it lands... Name it.. Anything.... "

Francis took a deep breathe.... His eyes met Katherine again... His inner mind screaming at him to name her.. Tell the king to his face he wants his daughter....... He emit.... A gleen of sweat ran down his cheek...

Everywhere was quiet... Probably everything in the throne room anticipating what he will say.... He glance up at the king.... Took a deep drag again..... Then he said.... "I want my freedom... ...."

"Your freedom..... !king Dafuda scurred.... "You already earned your freedom the moment you took the step to to start that journey that saved my daughter...... Is that all you want.... ?

Francis swallowed hard..... "No... I want something else too..... "

"And what may that be?
