SLOWLY LEVI OPEN HIS EYES....arousing from his heavy slumber,he became aware of the coolness of the air and it's loamy fragrance. The ground was lumpy as if he was on a bed of earth and rocks. His clothes feel as damp as a flower in the dew of the dawn. He half wonder if he's still dreaming as he sit up to take in the shafts of light that burst through the gaps in the leaf canopy above......he has actually slept... He look at the rest of them.... They were still sleeping... They'd actually slept... He thought that wasn't possible... They slept and the infamaccumono didn't show neither the horrors of the night....

Woth shock etched on his face, he quickly woke the rest of them...
They sat up without hesitation.....

"I can't believe this..... It's morning... "Pandora shouted... Enthusiasm in her voice

"We survived.... "Katherine added...

They giggled.. Wrapping their hands around each other...

"We should get going.... "Francis quickly said breaking the embrace.....

They quickly stood when the fear that had eluded them returned......
They walk closely and began to find their way out of the woods.... Out of Coccus.....

Head spinning.... Blood flowing around him.. The head guard eyes met the other guards on the floor... He shivered when he realise one was headless.... ..

"What have they done... "he muttered to himself...

Heart throbbing fast.... He sneer in pains... He look at his leg... His left leg was bleeding ... He was cut... Cut from the fight....

He griamace... Gave a snort as he stood unbalanced to his feet.....

He pick his sword.... Jumping with one leg. He began to find his way out of the woods... Out of the den of death.....

The fog surrounding them began to gave way... Clearing the path.. Giving them a clearer view of what's ahead as their horses mounted forward....

Vuga swallowed hard as he look at his father.. He wasn't talking..... Wasn't fidgeting... He was fused on getting his daughter back and that's what they were on their way to do.....

Hyah... "King Dafuda growled at the horse prompting it to move faster....

Both sons including the guards behind them rode behind the king....

They stop the horses when they got to the boundary.....
Hands freezing with anger in his eyes.... King Dafuda groan when he notice king Jafar wasn't there yet... As always they are always coming first....

Vuga couldn't wait to see his sister.. He thought about Adesa.. He remenber the kiss... The cold sensation of her hands touching his... Their mouth lingering in each other... He was glad he told her.. Glad he listened to his brother....

He glanced at his brother who wrap an animal skin cloth over his shoulder... Covering his back to wave off the cold that was pricking its ugly hands deep into their skin.....

He sigh... He look at his father one more time.... He was anxious and above all he was angry.....

Daylight became more bright... Making them to see what was far ahead.....

"I can see the end of the trees...... "Katherine shouted....
They increase their pace... Glad there was finally an end to the woods... To coccus...

Levi suck his teeth when he heard the sounds of the birds... Twinning above... In the branches of the trees....
He thought of where he will go when they finally get out of Coccus.. His eyes fell on Pandora who was walking so fast... So eager to get to anywhere she was heading to...

He nib his lips when his stomach growled.. He pout.. as hunger started sinking in... He wonder if the rest were as hungry the way he was.... He exhales and ran towards them to keep pace when he realise he was lagging behind....

From a distance.. Through the fog.. They could see the dust brushing into the air.. Then the neigh of their horses... The thunderous foot of the horses pricking holes into the ground...

The horses approached.. The noises grew louder... Then the fog gave way making their faces visible.... The guards helmet.. Swords dangling beside the crossbelt of their trousers.......

With angry eyes... King Dafuda waited as their horses race closer to them... A few gap keeping them away...
More dust dissolved into the air... The fog swallowing it up.... The horses legs racing speedily towards them....

Vuga couldn't count how many they were but he could sense they were much... The horses neighing increases.... The dust advancing towards them..a stone throw... Then they came closer... Becoming visible.... Their faces showing.... Then they stopped... The guards in the front gave way as the monstrous king who has taken his sister mount his horse forward......

"Dafuda..... "King Jafar said moving his horse forward.. 'to where he stood.... The horse neigh at his face.....

With rage.. King Dafauda folded his fist... He look ahead... There was no sign of his daughter...... "Where is my daughter.....? He ask shapily... Frown lines etched on his forehead.... Anger stuck in his voice... His spines welcoming it....

King Jafar scoffs then he jump down from the horse..... He tap the horse on it's back and the horse walk into the midst of the guards...... He grin at King Dafuda.... Then the grin disappear..... If only he had his daughter... If the stupid girl hasn't escape into Coccus... She would have been here... She was probably dead...... "You will have your daughter just after you sign ownership to me..... "He snapped his finger and a man with bald hair emerge from the crowd holding a scroll in his hand.....

King Jafar collected the stroll....."This scroll is from the capital... The lord himself gave it to me..... "He said unfolding it..... "That's his seal.... All you need to do is sign this with your blood... Swearing ownership to me in front of this witnesses and the representative from the capital..... "

"Where is my daughter.....? King Dafuda growl...

"I just said you will see your daughter after you sign..."

"My daughter first..where is she....? He snarled..

King Jafar gave him a taunting wicked smile...... "Am changing the negotiations of our deal. This is how is going to be... You sign first then you see your daughter.... It's your choice Dafuda... Your daughter or the goldmine"

Vuga frown wondering why king Jafar was acting like that.... Then it hit him... He grunts doubting the possibility of his thoughts..... He can't fetch his sister because he doesn't have her...... "Francis.... "He muttered...

He swallowed when Gary turn his gaze at him....

"We are not renegotiating anything..... The deal was you give me my daughter and i give you the goldmine.... I cant find my daughter anywhere.. What have you done to her? King Dafuda raved.....

Heart jumping with exhilaration.... They ran out from the woods... Making their way to the to road path....

"We made it...... "Katherine shouted

They stood to rest.. Then they look at where they've been running from.... They lour their waist.. Catching their own breathe.....

"Mogula..... "Levi shouted pointing ahead.....

"Oh no..... "Katherine exclaimed not believing it..... This road was just a short cut..."

"A short cut nobody dared to take.... "Francis added...

Pandora look around wondering the possibility of it..... "Guys.... "She muttered looking down....

They quickly turn their attention to her.....

Pandora bow down when she notice something... Something odd in the ground.... She squatted... Looking carefully at the ground.... her finger drooling on the ground then she felt something... A rope... A large rope stuck on the ground.....

Shocked she quickly pulled her hand away when it burnt her.....

They quickly rushed to her.....

"Are you okay. ?Levi ask looking at her hand.. The burnt mark on it...

"What did that to you.....? Katherine ask looking at her hand...

"The rope... There is a rope on the ground..... "she muttered

Francis quickly look for it.. He saw it.. Carefully he took it up.... They all look in surprise as the rope begin to root from the ground....

Their gaze follow the rope's extention....

Francis began to walk.....pulling it out at every edge.....

With surprise etched on their faces they notice both end of the ropes were tied to two trees......

"Why would someone tie a rope here......"Katherine ask as she watch Francis follow the direction of the rope .....

"It isn't just any rope..... "Pandora interjects..... "My grandfather told me when people noticed the beast was devouring people.. Killing anyone that enters Coccus.... Some group of men went in search of the dark priestess.... They pleaded with her to stop the curse....

"But the curse was never stopped..... "Levi cut in..

"She didn't stop it... Instead she enchanted ropes with witchcraft and tied them on trees seperating Coccus from other communities..the ropes stood as boundaries.... This one was tied here to warm peope that the boundary between coccus and the off twon of mogula was here.... So no body could attempt to go in.....

"It burns anyone that dare to go into the land.... "Katherine said...

"Yes.... That rope was tied here for that reason.. This is the boundary between the off town of Mogula and Coccus.... "Pandora said...

"But the rope isn't burning Francis.... "Levi said shocked...

"That's the misery of it all.... "Pandora said glancing at Francis who was at the end of the lane busy rooting the rope from the ground....."He is a KA-RU... It has no effect on him.... A priestess of ogini spelled it... Francis is a disciple of ogini...."

"So if the rope were to burn anyone who dares to go in.. How did the rope get down to the ground.... Did the priestess put it back down....? Katherine ask curiously

"The priestess would have never done that..... Someone must have done it.... Someone put the rope down to lure people into the woods...that explains why the infamaccumono is still alive..... He has been feeding... Someone has been feeding him... "

"I don't understand.... I thought no one except KA-RUs can touch the rope... "Katherine said

"I don't think Francis is the only KA-RU staying in this town.... "

"Are you saying there is someone else other than him.....?

"Can you explain this.....? She blared out...

Levi gritted.... "Could it be your grandfather.....?

Pandora roll her eyes at him.... "My grandfather will never do that.... "

"What have you done to my daughter.....? King Dafuda raved loudly.....

Eyes sparkling anger.. King Jafar glare at him.... "You want to know... Your stupid daughter ran away.. She ran into coccus.... "

His words sent shivers to everyone who heard it.....

Rage overwhelming him.... King Dafuda folded his fist and threw a punch at King Jafars face.....

Guards from both side quickly drew out their swords...... Putting everyone in a fighting mood..

King Jafar scoffs.... He spat.. Blood splatting out from his mouth....

"What have you done to my daughter....? King Dafuda raved back.....

King Jafar didn't hesitate before he punched him back... His eyes sparkling with anger....

Gary and Vuga quickly jump down from the horse rushing to him....

King Dafuda regain his balance.... He quickly drew out his sword and King Jafar did same....

King Dafuda groan and advance toward Jafar....
Their swords met... Chirping on each other steel blade.... With momentum they blocked each other with their swords.. Each pressing his sword towards the other.. Their eyes met.... They saw the rage.... The cold anger in each others eyes.... Eyes glaring at each other.... Hands tightly on the sword... They growled at each other.... Blood burning hot.... Their veins bulging out.... They held their swords against each other's face....

"Where is my daughter....? King Dafuda growled...

"Your daughter is dead.... "

Each side prepared theirselves... Waiting for orders to match.... To fight and let the heads start rolling on the dust...

Rebecca shouted as she hit him with the pillow.....
"Wake up you lazy fool, you've been sleeping all day, you need to get those bandages changed... "She added....

Max yawn.. Then he wipe his eyes with his palm.... "Aunt please... Let me still sleep"

"You need to get to the hospital to get those bandages changed.... "

Max struggled to stand up... Fatigue licking through him.... "My wounds are healed"

Rebecca sigh.... "Do you want to tell me what's going on?

Max gave a snort.... "Nothing Aunt... Nothing is going on.... "

"You think am a fool, you came in here yesterday with that hospital gown...and bandages.. You haven't gone out of this room since yesterday...what's going on... Who is after you?

Max insutilate.... He doesn't know if he should tell her the truth... Aunt Rebecca wasn't really his aunt but a close family friend.... He has known her since he was a little kid. She wasn't married though he heard she was married once but the man left her... Since she had no kid, she didn't bother to remarry..

Max recalled that when his mother died... Aunt Rebecca had been the one who took care of him... His father was a doctor.. He had little or no time for him.... Rebecca has been the one who had always been there.....

He remenbered how he had escaped from the hospital the previous day.. As much as he doesn't want to put her in trouble..he had nowhere else to go....
He nib his lips... "I had an accident.... "he lied

"Why didn't you go to your father's hospital....?

"I went there... I.....

"Don't lie to me Max.... "she cut in....."Your father may not care about you but he will never let you leave the hospital in this condition.... "

He sniff when a tear dropped from his eye... his father never cared about him.. All he cared about was his work and nothing else... How could his father expose him to such a cruel chase.....

Rebecca didn't know what to say.. She knew Dr Morrison could be an asshole when it comes to spending time with his family but she didn't know he could do such a thing... Exposing his son to such danger...... "Are they responsible for your wounds....?

"They chased me into the bush... I merely escaped from them... I was bitten by a wild dog"

Rebecca shook her father.... "What have your father done?

On tuesday afternoon... Noah decided to visit Luke at the hospital.. It was 3:15pm when he arrived there.. He went to the reception.. Ask about Luke...
After a while... He was showed Luke's room.... He headed for the room wondering if Max was still in the hospital.. He decided to see Luke first before seeing Max.. He has returned from school early since he wasn't feeling well.. Instead of going home... He came to the hospital instead...

He caught sight of Luke's room number.. He slowly opened the door and saw a woman sitting beside him.. He wanted to leave then he thought she could be his mother.. With a huff.. He walked in and greeted her....

"Are you also my son's friend....? Luke mother ask..

Noah nodded.. Wondering how Luke was feeling....

Luke mother beem with smile.... "My son doesn't really talk about his friends at home that much, are you also a friend to John?

Noah wonder who John is.... "No... Am not"

"John is a good friend.. he comes to see him almost everyday"

Noah sigh.. He felt bad he hasn't been coming to see him.. But on second thought they were not really friends '.they just met once... But whoever the John the mother speak about is.... Luke must be really lucky to have him

"Mum.... "Luke muttered softly

Shock grip his mother.... She doesn't believe her son recognise her.. The doctor had said he has amnesia.... She quickly hugged him.... "Are you okay baby...? She ask..

Noah stare at both of them.. He was glad.. Glad He was okay.... He finally regained consciousness... "How are you Luke? He said after much silence...

Luke scan his eyes at him.. Then he freed himself from his mother's grip.. "Who are you?

His mother's heart quickled...."Darling he's your friend.. Don't you remember him?

Luke shook his head.... "I don't know him"

Noah walk close to him.... "It's me Noah.. We met at the lab room"

Luke tried to remember but nothing suffice... "What lab room...i haven't been to any lab room... "

Heart throbbing.. His mother quickly stood up and headed for the doctors office..

Leonard smile at Noah as a car stopped in front of them..

"Why that weird smile? Noah ask frowning.. Angry he came with him... The last time Leonard had asked him to accompany him somewhere.. It ended in a disaster... He hope this time everything goes well

Noah's heart skipped as Shayna came down from the car.. She wore a stylish dinner gown that ended in her knees..... The gown was handless showing her seductive collar bone. She wrapped a material band on her neck covering most part of her left shoulder...

"Hi baby..."She said as she walk up to Leonard who reciprocated by giving him a smile...

"You look lovely in this gown... "Leonard said feeling the rapid beating of his heart..... "Who dropped you off?he added when he remenbered the car doesn't look like a taxi...
"My driver..."

"You have a driver....?

"He's our family driver"

Noah snort...he didn't know they were this rich...

"Hi Noah"She snapped not bothering to look at his face
She quickly place her hands on Leonards...

Leonard smile and hold her firmly... Without hesitation he led her inside leaving Noah behind like a body guard.....

THE NAME KA-RU MADE FRANCIS TREMBLE... sending cold feet down his spines..

The monster groan again... His grip tightly in his neck.... He growled at him then he drop him on the floor and ran back into the darkness....

Francis cough... Catching his own breathe... Sucking in all the air he can get.. He look at his strangled neck. He bug his eyes... A foreboding tremor licking through him when he felt there was blood in his neck.. He was bleeding.... The monster rough palm must have injured him...

He cough again.... He breathe heavily then he heard Katherine voice again calling out to him...he can sense she's close....

He took a deep breathe.. His right Hand still in his neck.. He sneer from the pains he was feeling.... "Am right here... "He shouted back...

It wasn't long before they traced his voice... Katherine didn't hesitate before running to him...

Francis grunts... Swallowing hard... His neck still bleeding....

"What happened....? Katherine quickly ask hugging him... Tears flowing freely from her eyes.....

"What happened..... ?Pandora queried... A touch of surprise in her voice....

"He left... "Francis muttered with pants breathe... He touch his neck.. His hand could feel the cut the monster has made in his neck.....

"Left.....? Pandora blared out...... Surprise in her tone..... "How did that even happened....?

"Are you okay....? Levi ask.... Trepidation in his voice..he was Scared the infamaccumuno might return and finish off what he started..

Francis sneer.... "He called me KA-RU and then.. He just drop me and left.. ..."

Fear seized them when the growling sound came again.....

"Grace has been saving me.. Not ogini... "Francis said back

"Your heart is dark.... "Pandora muttered .this time more quiet.... "That's the only way you became a KA-RU.... Ogini saw the darkness in you.... "

"Your heart was dark when you fell into that water.... That made you a disciple of ogini.... "

She exhales... Flexed her fingers..... "My grandfather was a KA-RU.... "

"Your same grandfather who told you the story of the infamaccumuno.....? Levi ask... Surprise in his tone...

"Yes.... "

"Your grandfather isn't from here..... ?Francis ask anxiously....

Pandora sigh.... Her fingers propelled against each other..... "My grandfather is from the other side of the river.. Your world.... "

"So what happened to him.... Did he tell you how he became a KA-RU...? Katherine ask...

"He became a KA-RU.... when he jumped into that river filled with anger.. Resentment.... "

"Did he tell you why he jumped... what happened....? Katherine ask curiously...

Pandora insutilate as she begin to recall the story.... "He said his entire family was murdered for some piece of land.... The people who killed his family chase him to the hills.... He was angry... His heart was dark with revenge... All he wanted at that moment was to kill the men who has murdered his family.... The men chased him to the cliff.. He had nowhere to turn.. "What happened next....? Francis ask

One of the guard's who has fled when the infamaccumuno ran into their midst ran to a stop... He was scared... The whole place was dark and he has no light... No firelamp....

He turn around at any sound... Any noise... He look around and noticed he was alone.. Alone in the darkness of the night...

His heart burst out of his chest when he heard a groan... A low groan.. Fear licking through him... He began to walk faster.. He was inclined to shout.. to know if anyone will hear him.. But that will be probably stupid as he thought they could all be dead.... Everyone was dead.. ...his body shivered at the thought... He shouldn't have come.... Shouldn't have pass through that tunnel... This was his death staring at him.. His graveyard....
He knew until morning comes he won't be able to find his way out... Out of this place of death....

Heart pounding.. He stop walking when the groaning sound came louder... A loud snarl... Then a growled....
He was here.. The infamaccumuno was here... Legs trembling... He let the fear overwhelmed him... Clouding his sense of reasoning.......

Just when it occurred to him to run... He ran into him.... His body crunching down to the ground when their body jammed.......

He couldn't move.... Couldn't breathe... The growled left him speechless..... He try to stand.. To at least run and saved himself but he couldn't feel his legs.... His muscles magnet to the ground.. Just then he gave a loud scream....

With a thud... The infamaccumuno pounce on him... Pricking his sharp fingers deep inside his body....
The person's screams echoing in his ears.... He growled at him.. Gums.. Spit... Rushing out from his mouth into the guard's face.... Then he pulled out his heart making the screams stop... Bringing back the silent darkness... The winds stop blowing... Even the branches of the trees fear his snarling rumbled.. ...everywhere went mute....

He quickly deep down his three long sharp teeth into his body... Ripping out a pound of every flesh he can take.....

Blood gushing out freely... He chew more on him... Then he raise his head.. To the cloud and gave a loud and deep growled...a taunting spine ripping sound.....

The loud growl sent shivers to the heart of everything around.... Even the animals of the night jump down into their holes..... Non could come.. Not when the infamaccumuno has come to hunt.... To kill and rip out the heart of everything that comes his way... Shredding them to pieces and leaving them decayed for the vultures to feed on......

Only God knows how I was feeling when I got to part where Francis was dragged away, because Silver1996 na baaaaad guy. He kills the main guys off with reckless abandon.
