Poor pay for product designs, lots of mediocre in the field, Need to learn more skills such as html/css/JavaScript might also be another thing then also figma and the likes. Job Purpose/Mission

The Field Operations Associate will play a key role in the development and operation of mini-grids in Niger State. This is a unique position that will later evolve into a leadership role of the Technical and Operations Team for Prado Power in Niger State.



Key Responsibilities, Deliverables and Activities

In development phase

Gather customer data from the proposed mini-grid sites
Ensure the monitoring of projects in support of the construction teams and / or contractor
Coordinate and ensure the delivery and supply of materials upstream at the start of work
Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with the HSSE rules of Prado Power and the quality procedures in place.
Receive and support the Prado Power management/development team in navigating the state.
Interact with the technical/development team and timely updates the Prado Power management team
Support with documentation for the necessary approvals from regulatory bodies, host Governments and host communities as needed.
In Operation and Maintenance phase

Ensure proper functioning of mini-grids 24/7
Be responsible for the smooth operation and oversight of maintenance activities of power generation asset and smart metering infrastructure.
Plan and carry out preventive maintenance campaigns for sites.
Support training of local Agents and technicians on the tasks that they must perform on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Ensure that mobile payment, SMS communication to customers and the connection to metering system are always functional.
Ensure all sites are properly monitored, and maintained while providing excellent services to our customers.


Required Skills & Experience

Hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or in another related field
Additional qualifications and professional qualifications an added advantage
Have at least 5 years of experience in electrical and power or energy efficiency, including at least 1 year in a team management position
Be passionate about access to energy and improving the lives of rural communities
Be passionate about clean energies (preferably solar photovoltaics and batteries)
Be passionate about innovation and technology
Have advanced skills in quantitative analysis and master Excel/Google sheets
