@ all, the srt 4930 without rj45 cable is the version for middleeast/africa while the srt4930 with rj45 is the australian version. So both are genuine strong products. Strong decided to bring the australian version to africa cos they now realise we are begining to embrace cardsharing receivers with the rj45 (ethernet) ports. No cause for alarm, if u want to buy 4930 go for the one with rj45 as there will be no need for rj45-to- r232converter cable. CHEERS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE.

Nice, you have cleared the doubt. I have visited the strong Australia site downloaded a user manual of 4930 and under the specifications column Rj45 is clear and bold among the connectors indicated

That's what I also know, only if they have re-designed the 4930 to have a built in RJ45 connector.

I have followed your post and visited the strong site as well as MyTV hardware site, looked the the specifications of the 4930. it does not show ant rj45 present on the machine. other members can also try and verify so that those intrested can have a good choice

you all note that,if you want to upgrade a decoder make sure when downloading the software,watch it so that it download up to 100% without jumping from like 75%-85% ,when this happen then you are on the way to dead decoder.thank you

You've faced the setback I faced about three days ago. I nailed this satellite and only got Madagascar using an mpeg 4 receiver I will try again shortly.

thanks Pidzo, I will also surely try again another time. Just out of time to tune my dish. I am optimistics we will get all the mentioned channels

@pidzo,this are the channels at w3c(rdv,rts,2stv,rtg1,afm tv,canal2,tvm malagasy,mboa tv,ortb,golfe tv,crtv,france 24 and equinoxe tv) all are mpeg 4 expect tvm malagasy and it can be track with 60cm in naija thanks.

for the firt time I have been able to nail this bird but got only two channels, TVM madagasca and TVCA. Anyone with more tps to help.

Good job man.I've been watching with a very keen eye and i must say,you are doing what most really appreciate on this forum and that is taking the initiative where it matters most.For your region i must say you are at a very good location to pick the new Atlantic Bird.However from your pictures i can see you have to work on your dish alignment since some of our 1.8m dishes here in Accra give approx the same results on some of the C-band samples you showed here.Also try to contact I-hacked so your guys can further test his amp cause i know his major limitation was the size of his dishes.Good job once again and keep up the good work.

Q.How much experience do you have in metal works and what are the physical dimensions and properties of the metal sheets you used?

thanks bro. I am still tunning to gain high reception if possible try tracking the new atlantic bird.
infact I have no knowledge in metal works a friend who is a welder helps I only direct him as to what to do. he told me the sheet were galvanished sheet and about 5feet by 4.5 feet. We manage to use three of such sheet. the shets as conpared to those usually used to construct "containers" were lighter

Simbo,u can give nss7 @ 22w a trial if you hit close to 98% i think your nilesat is just a stone throw.it all depends on the size of the modified dish.once again eureka.

Respect to you, the funny thing is that during my setup the bolt that holds my main C band lnb which i used for NSS7 got broken apparently destroying my lnb holder. the lnb is held in place by adjusting by a straw. when i get a new holder I will endeavour to hit the target

Congrats on your success. I can see from the pix you uploaded that you were able to track Multi-Tv. The true test for your dish
performance however is its ability to track out-of-footprint birds. Can you try any of those birds like nilesat, hotbird, etc and
lets see what obtains. This will be an encouragement for others to follow in your footsteps.

thanks for your compliments. that's my target. I am working to get maximum reception and good lnbs to delve into that.

I wish to thank all members of the house for their encouragement and contributions. I was virtually a "mino" but now no body come just to input a channel for me as it used to be. I hope members will continue with thier good works and we will get to places.

@ all i have found an answer to my post. I realised some snapshot on a flashdrive I inserted into my 49z. itried to find out how it came about and my answer was just press 0 when watching/viewing a channel. just take a look at some of the snapshots

Do your research before buying any receiver. You may end up spending more money on a wrong purchase as it will not serve you well. Gurus here may advise on your intended purchase. Sometimes cheaper is not always better, not all that glitters is gold. technology is advancing dont buy gadgets from the Noah's ark.

Citizen is still green on the same tp. experienced the same some few days back but after turning my dish a bit it poped green only that its 53%. check your dish

@all 49z users have you noticed that hardstation 1&2 have disappeared from the Enteraiment menu? Check your receiver and see or perhaps mine is undergoing a metamophosis

the channel has only changed a name. It's all military matter

thanks, the sound drivers for the two channels is ACC. if your machine does not have you will not hear any sound. if so you have to update you software with a version that has the ACC drivers dependening on the type of receiver you are using. enquire from the supremos for more clarification
