simniboma sometimes you may not find the satellite name on your STB because nearly everyday new sat comes on air and the manufactural may not program the new sat on the STB , so only the available satellites would be programmed by the time of manufacturing the STB.
So to solve your problem simply scroll down on your STB on installation and select a newsat in which you see like this 0.0 _ _ _ _and enter the TP and if the signal pops up and press OK , then you 're good to go and you can even rename the newsat to your desire name you want by pressing RED button in which you will see alphabetical table.
RDV is loud and clear check your signal strenght or rescan your STB , THANKS.

Simnibo,you cant learn by asking too much ,you learng by doing so much.how?since rdv turns red your first question shld be is hitv or dstv green or red since they are on the same degrees.if all red them may be you need to realign your dish,if only rdv is affect may be its from their office thereafter you can call or post to confirm if its green or red.troubleshooting is part of satellite business . About new dawn Just input new dawn tp and track using any satellite name all u need is the tp.its between dstv and multitv.

plz help, i want to track nss7 22°w c-band, the polarization i saw in lyngsat and here[nairaland] is l and r, is it the same as v and h, because thats what i saw in my receiver . .

@simniboma. Yes it is possible to convert your 2.4m mesh to pan. However,you cannot use it for fringe reception. Your 2.4m as it is is designed for c-band reception. For fringe reception there is more to it than just converting your mesh to pan. Here,you need something close to a perfect paraboloid.@all. It is time to upgrade to 5m pan dish for those that have the cash and space. My 7m is almost ready. Pictures coming soon.

@ simniboma     contact swordswifter, Gadotor or Sathob. They might be of help. i dont think aluminum sheets can do that work. however, aluminum foil should be good to go.

I just realize my decoder is SRT4669XII after verification @ strong websites is telling me my product is not geniune strong product. To think of it i bought it @ mytv accredited dealer @ 1st artillery in phc, no wonder in was unable to setup my f.t.a after facing my 1.8m dish Ea$t. Chaii e don happen to me, tomorrow i dey go their office sharply, i dey vex. Plz advice.

@Brite02, If I Understand what you want to say, then I tell you that, I experienced the same situation with two of my receivers, 4663x and 4669x. With the 4663x I did all I could but could not salvage the situation. With the 4669x after checking my connections on the f connectors very well the situation was corrected. I took the 4663x for repairs and was told an IC was faulty due to bridging of my cables. I suggest you do likewise. Check your connection on your cables very well. It may be possible the connection is not the best. Also check your cable for any break if that does not work then I advice you look for an expert to check your receiver. This is my lay mans experience I have given hoping that the gurus will assist to perfect it
