TB Joshua’s prayers ended my14 years smoking addiction – Tonto Dike on AUGUST 31, 2012 By OPEOLUWANI OGUNJIMI Popular Nollywood actress has revealed reasons behind the sudden end to her fourteen year old smoking addiction. She says the prayer of Pastor T.B Joshua through his Christian TV station, Emmanuel TV healed her. It would be recalled that the daring actress had battled with her smoking addiction for years. Tonto who started chain-smoking at the age of 13 had earlier in the year revealed in an interview that smoking is her life and didn’t care what people thought about it. “If I want to smoke, I handle a stick of cigarette and I smoke it hard. It is my life I can decide to smoke myself to hell. It’s nobody’s business.” But as against what many thought, Tonto recently took to social network cite, Twitter, announced to the whole world that she’d stopped smoking. “I’ve good news for those who wish me well. Its silly good news but ya’ll going to love this. I quit smoking!” Dazed, many wondered how and who had preached to her against the fourteen year old ‘love of her life’. As a matter of fact, recently, her heavy smoking habit led to a war of words between her and Ghanian actor, Van Vicker, who complained about her uncontrollable cigarette addiction. Many thought her new year resolution wouldn’t last. However Tonto, last week in an interview revealed that she was healed by pastor T.B Joshua’s prayer. “I didn’t quit smoking by myself. I was watching a program on TV with Prophet T.B. Joshua and he was laying hands on people and praying for them. I love to watch his programs on Emmanuel TV. When he was praying, he said, ‘Lay your hands on the TV’ and I just laid my hands that day. I actually needed something else from God, not to quit smoking because I loved smoking! However, after praying I sat back and I think I slept off. When I woke up, I took a stick of cigarette and I felt crazy. I couldn’t even imagine that I took it up to smoke in the first place. It felt like poison!” Three months down the line after she made the announcement via Twitter, Dikeh has remained clean from smoking. www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/tb-joshuas-prayers-ended-my14-years-smoking-addiction-tonto-dike/

Sincerely speaking something undeniably good has truly come out of Nigeria. Can anything good news truly come out of Nazareth(Nigeria)? Tell them the BBC, VOA, whites, black, believers in Jesus Christ and non-believers let them come and see Senior Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, the 5-Wise men of Synagogue Church of All Nations(SCOAN) or better still watch Emmanuel TV on STRONG-Cable Services.A random verification visits to Lagos-Nigeria Airport(Muritala Muhammed Airport) since my house is 5minutes to the Airport has proven to me that the highest Foreign Tourists attraction to Lagos-Nigeria is SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua and his 5-Wise-men.The other attraction to Nigeria is only NNPC-Crude Oil. What else? is it BOKO HARAM, IRREGULAR POWER SUPPLY, ARMED ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING? |
i don't know where you guys got your facts from - i am a very regular follower of TB Joshua's Emmanuel TV and he never said anything like that. If he has any prophecy regarding the Olympics or any other major world event, definitely he will say it in one of his services... please stop saying what he did not say it will deceive many people into believing he is not a real man of God our mouths are so big.... i don't know when we will shut up if you heard tb joshua say something, fine, tell others about it, but if not, keep quiet you are skating on thin ice! |
it was before the match, on sunday 6th June and the match was played on friday 11th. pretty incredibly accurate. they even attributed the second goal by mexico to south africa's shocking defending. uncanny that God speaks about football but great at the same time! |
if it was a once off thing, i would surely attribute it to guess work, but my brother/ sister, it is not. it is a consistent thing and while some prophecies are kind of general, others are specific, mentioning dates, etc. there is quite a complete list of tbj's prophecies on his website. if he was truly a fake, i think it is amazing that every time he will still be bold to prophesy even though he knows that he is putting his ministry's reputation on the line, because if it is false, then he loses all his credibility. look at the one that said before march there would be a military coup in one of the french speaking african countries, that's kind of specific, if it had reached march and this thing hadn't happened, how would he try and cover it up? |
the fact that tbj predicted the death of ted kennedy does not automatically authorize him to prevent him from dying. shebi it is God that revealed his death, God has the power of life and death. you can't challenge God that why did you not heal him? also, the fact that tb joshua predicts various events worldwide and locally does that now mean he can automatically fathom who will be the next president? he will only say what God reveals to him and tells him to say. if God has not revealed to him who will be the next president, and so he does not say it, does that then make him a false prophet? |
all his prophecies are making him popular and also gives the critics a chance to put words into his mouth and declare something he has never said. |
@riversman where did you get the info about a private jet? where is your source provide the evidence |
Today, Sunday 28th February 2010, TB Joshua publicly expressed his view on prophetic messages from men of God. He said it is very simple. He said for example, Let the nation’s leaders consult men of God to ask them God’s opinion and what God has to say about the New Year for example. We know that God does not leave His servants in the dark, without vision. You would expect God to reveal to His servants what is to come, right? Ok, so let the men of God consult God and find out what He has for the next few months. They should all submit it to the leaders, ministers, etc. After one month or so, it will be easy for them to see who is a true prophet of God. Simple, does it come to pass or does it not? Deuteronomy 18:22 says “You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?" 22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.” All this huffing and puffing about TB Joshua I see as futile. Does what he predict come to pass? If so, how many times? Is it just once off or is it consistent? Of the ranting about his latest prediction about Chile’s earthquake, I think it is actually quite specific. He didn’t just say there would be another earthquake, he said there would be one in a country very close to the sea and that this would trigger off more disasters in the form of water. And he said this would all happen before march. Doesn’t give him so much leeway if he was guessing or just fluking it does it? Especially when he is putting his ministries reputation on the line by saying it. |
simple, it is not only about confessing with your lips, but also believing in your heart (Romans 10:10) anyone can talk but to obey the Word of God is an entirely different thing a hypocrite is something who says one thing and yet does another, too many of them around these days, most of the time i am also one of them. help me God to be sincere! |
if we played the way we have played in this nations cup so far, there is no way we will beat Argentina let's face it, our mediocrity needs firing up, there is no zeal or flare in our boys again solution? a new coach and a new set of fresh players |
senators and government officials have selfish interests at heart rather than the state of our country right from time, corruption has been rife in our government and it will remain O God, when will all this end? |
the giant of africa has shamed herself once again it was by pure grace that we are through to the semis it doesn't make sense, how can this be our best 11 out of 151 million nigerians and we were playing against zambia, 9 million, with half as less pedigree than we when it comes to football, a real embarrassment and an opportunity for the nff and the whole nation to once again reassess amodu's position |
Amodu Vs TB Joshua Over Eagles By SportsDay Reporter | 26 January 2010 Fans of football loving Man of God, Prophet TB Joshua, have bombarded our office with calls after Nigeria’s victory over Zambia demanding to know the relationship between Amodu and the head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, known for his above average passion for football. One of the desperate callers told our reporter that he doubted any relationship existed between Prophet Joshua and Amodu, if the Super Eagles coach could take a bunch of old men to the Angola 2010 Nations Cup, when younger players like Nigeria 2009 U-17 World Cup MVP Emmanuel Sanni, was available. “Look, the best player in the Zambia squad was by the name Mbola and he is a 17 years old and he is not as good as our own Sanni, so why did he know take him to the Nations instead of allowing small boys to be dribbling out tired legs”, the fan said. Another fan, said he was sure the Nigerian coach has now realized thathe needed younger players and should immediately tell the NFF so, so that he can fortify his squad with the likes of Sanni during the World Cup in South Africa, as it was already too late for younger players to join the team in Angola, as a result of CAF rules. Yet another said he was scared that the Nigerian which meet Ghana in the semi-final might be humiliated if the play the same manner they did. “We sure need younger players like Sanni Emmanuel and Amodu must ensure that is done at the earliest possible time. http://www.sportsday.com.ng/nigeria/news/2010-01-26/amodu-vs-tb-joshua-over-eagles.html#comment-form

OUR FOOTBALL CANNOT MOVE FORWARD WITH THIS TYPE OF SELECTION too old, too feeble, too unfit, i beg, can this team really get us anywhere? |
poster, you;'d better post what you know, not what you imagine or think how do you know that tb joshua and guru marahaji are in a spiritual battle? has tb joshua come out to say anything like that? again, has tbj come out to attribute the eagles world cup qualification to himself? [if so, where is your evidence?] a report only came out that amodu went to the man's church and publicly thanked tbj for his prayers and support. also, where is d evidence dat tb joshua said d eagles would perform excellently well? i beg oooo, all this hype for nothing - are over-religious approaches to everything in dis country is becoming infuriating |
tb joshua is a breath of fresh air for all nigerians sooner or later they need to recognize it the rest of the world are already recognizing it and benefiting from it if our government, politician could come down and go and meet tb joshua for prayer and advice, i think we would really see some positive changes in the state of our affairs but typically, we are still too proud, too arrogant and too money hungry to do that kind of thing God help us |
there are some people in nigeria that are at least giving the outside world a reason to believe in our country i believe the government should do more to support such selfless individuals this is one example, check this out, i saw it in yesterday's guardian: Senator lauds church's role in tourism growth From Leo Sobechi, Abakaliki THE Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Anthony Agbo, has praised The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), for its contribution to Nigeria's development, especially the Federal Government's re-branding efforts. The lawmaker noted that the SCOAN and its pastor, Temitope Balogun Joshua, have contributed immensely to tourism development in the country. Agbo, who spoke to reporters said that after watching the SCOAN's Emmanuel TV, he was overwhelmed by what he saw there. He explained that the number of foreigners who troop to the church made him think about any other spot in the country that could attract such mammoth influx of people into Nigeria, stressing that such outlet could only be possible as a blessing of God. He therefore called on the government to bestow the highest national honour award of Grand Commander of Order of the Niger (GCON) on Pastor Joshua for his efforts to improve Nigeria's image and alleviate the people's sufferings in various ways. His words: "I want to talk about something Nigerians have not been talking about all this while. You know whenever we want to talk about the country's independence, we talk of how painful the Nigerian state has been or how such a failure it has become. But I want to speak on a particular element, even in our country, which is so attractive to me and my personal disposition. I am talking about Pastor T. B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations. I am a practising Christian of the Catholic denomination. But any area I notice some fundamental value to this country I have a sense of responsibility to point out." The senator who is also the National Patron of National Association of Disabled Persons in Nigeria, disclosed that though it was not too long he stumbled upon Emmanuel TV, he has become addicted to it more than other news channel, pointing out that the influx of citizens of different countries from many continents to benefit from healing and the un-paralleled charity works of the Synagogue made him happy to be a Nigerian. Agbo, who represents Ebonyi North senatorial district, maintained that no single institution in the country has attracted different people from all over the world to Nigeria, describing Joshua as the greatest brand any country can ever wish to have, even as he called on other wealthy citizens and organisations to emulate the pastor's worthy example. "Watching Emmanuel TV, I cannot see myself fail to glorify God for giving this kind of gift and man of God to Nigeria. If you watch this TV channel, you will discover that the Synagogue Church of All Nations has made Nigeria one of the world's hottest spots for religious tourism. You see the trains of different nationals, see them receive healing and instant solution to their problems and it does not stop with the healing and deliverances that are wrought by God, but when you now look at the level of the charity works this man is rendering to Nigerians that deserve them you would be overwhelmed," he stated. He added: "In Emmanuel, I see in contrast how an individual is being used by God to gather all the people rejected by the society, dwarfs who nobody wants to associate with, widows with pathetic and plaintive cries as well as disabled persons who live under the bridges and on the streets of all states in Nigeria. He clothes, feeds and rehabilitates them. Mother Theresa of Calcutta got the Nobel prize and highest award in India. From what I have seen on Emmanuel TV, that man of God, Pastor T. B Joshua, deserves the national award in our country, GCON. "Not only for his charitable works, but that award would also serve to glorify God. It is not for him as a person but to God for giving this gift to Nigeria and Africa, especially for bringing troubled souls from all corners of the globe to Nigeria to receive answers to their psycho-social problems. So I am really overwhelmed and I want it on record that I deeply glorify God for the gift of this man of God to Nigeria. And I am calling on President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, to give the highest national award to this Pastor. This should not be personalised because it is God that is working, so the idea is to glorify God." what farouk has done has really tarnished the image of our country. For we and those familiar with us, we all know that Nigeria is very far from being a terrorist breeding ground and can never be a haven for suicide bombers. We all love life and want to live it to the full. but for many citizens of many countries who know next to nothing about nigeria, it makes them to believe the worst about our country it is a terrible thing and God alone can help us to get out of this mess |
you can find the address and all the details for visiting him at his website: www.scoan.org what the senator said is right- tb joshua is like a breath of fresh air for Nigeria his church is international standard, top class building, when you see it on tv,you wouldn't even think it is in nigeria |

up nigeria up eaglets! dey have redeemed the image of nigerian football small small the best is yet to come! |
On T.B Joshua, I have these comments to make: 1. His enemies are confounded by the fact that the man has brought back the biblical powers in healing and deliverance, which no other pastor or reverend has been able to do. This should have in no small measure, strenghtened peoples faith in the teachings of Christ. But the inability of other pastors to work such miracles, has made them to be jealous of him and would try anything to pull him down. But the miracles that God is performing through him has led credence to the fact that the power of God is real and also that the word of God is real also. The bible says that as believers, we will be given powers to cast out the demons, heals the sick and set the captives free. If what Joshua is doing does not buttress the above, tell me what does. Secondly, I believe that it was very stupid of one of the leaders of of the penticostal churches to to have asked of joshua to tell him when he got born again and under which pastor’s tutelage. When did this pastor become the gate keeper of the freely given salvation of God to demand such from him. Must every spiritual rebirth be before a pastor? Can’t I in my small closet sincerely confess my sin to God and ask for his forgiveness? Must I accept Christ before a pastor before it becomes real? Thirdly, I could remember that When Joshua started newly, people said he buried his source of power in the alter in his church and that he could not perform those miracles outside of the confines of his church buildings. But lo and behold, Joshua has been going around the world preaching the gospel of Christ and at the same time, signs and wonders have been following him every where. Fourthly, lets assume for a second that Joshua is devilish as some of his detractors have tried to make peole believe, if that is the case, he would be counted amongst hundreds or even thousands of pastors that got their powers through occult. Now my question is this: How come his own miracles are far and above more powerful and greater than that of other pastors in the same mold with him? He must have gotten his powers from the same source as other devilish pastors. But as far as I know, he is the only person that I know of that performs real healing to the blinds, the lame and so many others stricken with various ailments. How come that other devilish pastors who got their powers the same way as Joshua are not able to perform as good as him? Does this not show that his source of power is not from any other place, but from God. To me it does! Another question is this, Why would satan give him such powers to magnify the kingdom of God? Is it not to satans detriment that all the man does is to spread the word of God and make the healing power of God more real to people, something that has been lacking for years? The man does nothing else other than to preach the gospel, heal the sick and render help to the poor. Do you think that satan would want that? Finally, the so called confessions by his former associate, would have made a great story if it were about a brothel or a den of robbers. Unfortunately, they are not. There is no way one can convince me and other discerning humans, that such atrocities were taking place in the church and no one knew about them until they decamped. From the way the confessions were told, one might be tempted to think that Joshua does nothing else other than to have sex and plan wizardry. Mind you, synagogue is a place that attracts thousands and thousands of visitors at any given point in time and many of them have made it their permanent abode. I am not a member of synagogue church of all nations and neither have I visited it. But the bible says that that by their fruits you shall know them. And by the T.B joshua’s fruit, I have already known him. HE IS AN ANNOINTED MAN OF GOD!!! |
