It has to be 9ice on the grounds of his longevity and consistency. 9ice has been there b4 the new millenium and has paid in amazing quantity, his dues. We are yet to recover from his Gongo aso album. His current album is below expectation but 9ice is still nice and will still be there for a long time to come. Jaywon made auspicious start to music career. His album is also pretty impressive. I think in years to come Jaywon will be a force to reckon with in the industry and besides that, we rep the same hood. But for now its 9ice.

Its not just about singing a song, its about walking the walk. What have these 'Proud Africans' done to help the African community. Wyclef is from Haiti and his impact in the American and world music scene will amke the Haitians proud. He has built schools, hospitals and what nots' for the people of Haiti. He is a demi God in Haiti. He is proud of the black race. He comes to Nigeria like every other day to try to expose our artistes to the world. Same thing goes for Akon who is from Senegal. Our JJc and 4 19 brothers as the name implies are 419. They dont care about Africa. They dont give a Bleep if a 7.0 magnitude eatrhquake devastates Africa. They have one song that says , "Nigeria is the best land". Why arent they staying in the best land? They only sing about Africa when they want to revive their career that never blossomed. If they care about Africa, what have they done to give back to the society? Idont blame them for travelling out to seek greener pastures but dont act or sing like you care about Africa when you dont.

i totally agree with eldee and rhymestein. Mode is probably the best in nigeria. Even in the states he is talked about. MI is just another emcee. His dopest poo to me is crowd mentality and it doesnt often get talked about. Most Nigerians dont really appreciate real hip hop. They prefer bubble gum rap and poo.

just when i thought MI was a wack rapper, he dropped SWTD and now i know MI is the worst rapper. From the title, i was expecting some gangstar lyrics but all i heard were the same lame bragodoccios'. Mode 9 is an endangered specie. he belongs to a class of real emcees like Cannibus, Papoose, Talib Kweli, Nas. He deserves more respect. Its just sad that skills dont sell.
