Why charging 23k electricity bill monthly when we get barely 3 hours power supply daily?

Is it really maintenance? I learnt the power supply to the city were I resided was redirected to other cities (Band A)

Before August we get 48hours of power supply before interruption but now it is barely three hours power supply daily... sometimes no power supply for two or three days

What is the present power supply situation in your area... Since after the upgrade in Lagos we barely get up to 6 hours supply of power daily..

In my area sometimes I get 3 hours of power supply in three days and still have to pay about 25k monthly.

I learnt the power supply meant for Ikorodu was redirected to Band A cities like Ikeja and Festac.

Presently, I spend more than 10k weekly refuelling my generator.

I just have to switch to solar power..

What do you have to say about power supply at Ikorodu

You are not most nigerians, and 23k is low, compared to band A members who pay much higher for the three hours.

There are Nigerians who are on estimated billing like me and use less than 5kwh of energy every month yet pay 23k monthly.

What do you have to say about it.

Yes, and most of your countrymen are not paying that high, and most of them are not paying at all....so consider this is part of why your bill may be that high.

Plus in USA...everyone pays their power bill...and please don't lie...I have people in the USA...and what they pay for power for a one bedroom flat in say New Jersey in one month is what people on band B pay in three months.

But when everyone pays their power bill, the profits increase and eventually prices will fall...see the GSM sector.

So, stop grumbling. We have to accept hard truths in this country. E get why Obasanjo and GEJ privatised power....government ownership was not working because government did not have the funds , before corruption came in to wreck havoc.


Again, we need 10 trillion naira annually for 10 years to get power for 24/7. Is any investor that is decent going to come in to a sector where 80% of the customer base are underpaying for power?

Lord knows, I wish we could have power at N10 per kwh. But that is fantasy

Where I live, power is supplied for 3 hours daily. There are days we will experience disruption in power supply for 2 days...

I pay over 23k monthly.
