gotnel: Everything about spiritual power is a secret. King Opobo and his co African Kings of that era known what they know for their own protection while the white man know something better than what the African kings and warriors know. It is like that in the beginning and still remained so till now. Evolution is a continuous things generally. What is known today bring in what we are today. Tomorrow knowledge will make life better than how we live today. I concur with you that evolution is a continuous thing generally but for me spiritual power is over flogged and overhyped in this part of the world. Is there any correlation between spiritual power and superstition? |

ojlifa: Stupidity is when you set out to attack who you are, your very own back ground with records from those who need you just the way you are now so they can own you.my friend there is no religion more fraudulent than the abrahamic faiths The op is a bloody hypocrite.I wish he is still active to answer some questions. I don't want to comment about juju because to me it is very useless(it might be real but I don't give a fvck). Where was juju when the colonialists were exploiting and colonising Africa?I've read books about juju and African warlords;kings like jaja of opobo,Behanzi(Gbehanzi) of Dahomey etc. These warlords later became slaves to the colonialists, what really happened to their juju? |
Culture › Re: Juju Claims Are Fraudulent: An African Fetish (Published In 1905) by sirfee(m): 5:03pm On Aug 25, 2017 |
RichyBlacK: @Afam,
Let me address these points:
1. Being a Christian and knowing that ALL juju claims are fraudulent are not mutually exclusive events!
I'm a Christian and I know that ALL juju claims are false. But I'm not alone. In my church (Lutheran), I belong to several youth clubs and we organize several activities within the church and in the wider community - teaching math and science, helping the old folks mow their lawns, painting homes for charity, etc. In our downtime/social gathering, I've brought up this issue of juju and explained in great detail many of the claims made by proponents of juju. I have news for you! Not a single one of them, all Christian, believed ANY of the juju claims that violate physical laws. The ones that made them laugh was when I described the corpse-to-currency juju. Those chaps laughed for days!
2. The stories in the Holy Bible were written by men inspired by God and many of them cannot be considered literally.
For example, the story of Adam and Eve. That story in the Genesis cannot be taken literally, just like many stories in the Bible, including the many dreams in the Old Testament and the many parables in the New Testament. Your question may then be, why do I consider myself a Christian if I do not accept the literal interpretation of the Genesis story. My answer is this: I believe in the Genesis story. How about evolution? The theory of evolution remains our best theory on explaining the origin and nature of the species.
A follow-up question is: Don't you find a contradiction in believing in the Genesis creation story and agreeing with the theory of evolution? The answer: No I don't. Why? Let me explain using two sentences: 1. The White House was built by the U.S. government 2. The White House was built by black slaves
Both statements are correct! Do you believe in the account of the "forbidden fruit",I want fact. |

malton: Thanks, bro. Man U will stroll through that group to the round of 16. I hope Benfica delivers. Portuguese teams can be so unreliable, ehn. Portuguese teams are unreliable, inconsistency is their middle name. Good night bro... |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: UEFA Champions League Draw On 24th August 2017 by sirfee(m): 10:07pm On Aug 24, 2017 |
malton: Players like Neymar are an exception to the rule. Even in his own case, it's been said many times that Barca offered the least financial benefits of all the teams that were after him at the time.
His is the case of a man who thinks he can chase the money seeing as he's won all that there is to win already. While he's a money grabber, he first went after his dream. At the time he joined, he never would have dreamt about a day when he'd join PSG. There's nothing PSG is doing that the likes of Chelsea have not done. They did all they could to sign Ronaldinho and Eto'o back then but failed. Teams like that just aren't appealing to real players, except mercenaries.
On the contrary, every player finds Madrid attractive. The only players that may turn down Madrid are those who hold dreams of playing for Barca someday. Even at that, some of them still join Madrid regardless - Isco for one.
Even during the Franco era, Barca slugged it out with Madrid for the best players like Di Stefano. English teams don't dare come close when these teams fight over players because they know it'll only end in defeat. Not because they lack financial might, but because they lack the allure.
Players always prefer Barca/Madrid due to their history and traditions, and not because of money. The only advantage there is that the money enables them to get those players who have always wanted to be at their teams. The English teams however, find it hard to attract even second-tier talents despite having all that money. What do you make of that? There's no player Barca will sign today that Man U. city, or Chelsea cannot afford to sign. But will the player agree to join those teams when Barca come calling?
Money is important, but ambition ranks first for most good players. I like your analysis, well said. Man u and Benfica to qualify from group A GGMU |
