I think you're confusing the principle that anyone can come to the father through Jesus Christ with the belief that anyone can worship God from wherever religion they are.

Acts 4:10 - 12

Now the question is, can you be a true worshipper of God if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your personal lord and saviour?

If believing in Jesus was a very complex thing, he won't have been talking to the Samaritan woman like that.
When he told the Samaritan woman all of that and other things, she believed him and went to tell people about him.
So, believing in Jesus means hearing or reading what he said and knowing that it is the truth and then living by it.
That Exactly is believing in Christ

Can anyone read Christ's commandments and then obey them if they don't believe in Christ?
Believing in Christ means knowing that he has the truth and he is right and then reading and learning his truth. That already is believing in Christ

Worshipping God is from your actions and your heart based on the Truth of Jesus commandments and that is you worshipping in the spirit and not Physically.

In the Gospel according to John

20. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain. But you Jews say that the place where people should worship is in Jerusalem.” 21. Jesus said to her, “Believe me, woman, the hour is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22. You don't know what you're worshiping. We know what we're worshiping, for salvation comes from the Jews. 23. Yet the hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Indeed, the Father is looking for people like that to worship him. 24. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4: 20-24)

Firstly

Worshipping God is not religion specific
Jesus did not come to preach a religion,he came to preach a way of life that leads to the father and the Kingdom of God,the creator of everyone irrespective of religion.
The Samaritans were not believers of Christ,the Samaritans practised Idolatry read 2Kings 17:25-33 to confirm that.
Yet,Jesus was there telling her that they would worship God in Truth and in Spirit.
Anyone(Islam cleric, Herbalist ,etc) can read the commandments of Jesus which is the truth (summary in Luke 6 from verse 27) and live by them.That person is worshipping God in Truth and because the person believes in Jesus enough to even read his commandments and live by them,that is the person worshipping God in Truth and in Spirit.

The woman was telling Jesus about the "doctrine" laid down from years back that the place where people are to worship God is in Jerusalem similar to today that Many religion fanatics(even among Christians) and General Overseers would tell people that they are to worship God on Sundays in a "Church" as Christians,that the "Church building" with an "altar" in front is where to worship God.

But Jesus said,there is a time(now) when her(the Samaritan woman) people would neither worship God on that mountain nor in Jerusalem yet, the hour has come(Even at that time he was speaking) when True worshippers would worship the Father in Truth and in Spirit.


And not in a Location "dedicated" to Worshipping God as it is being practised all over today.

How do you truly worship God according to Jesus himself
This is by Knowing the truth of his commandments summarized in Luke 6 from 27 till end and in more details in the Gospel according to Matthew, then believing in Jesus by truly accepting that he is right and we should follow those commandments by living by those commandments every time, for us to be right standing(righteous) before God by the help of the Holy Spirit.

It is then that we are worshipping God

It is not by singing songs and dancing and praying or listening to sermons on a Sunday or any day as it is common today, it is by Knowing the Truth and then Living by the truth with the help of the Spirit of God in all our actions, reactions, thoughts and feelings towards everyone and every situation.

Stop seeing Worshipping God as a Physical act
Bowing down, dancing with different dance steps,shouting to praise God, waving your hands, kneeling, crying, rolling on the floor, they are all physical and not in any way worshipping God(if you will accept what Jesus said):

"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth".

It is glaring enough. Worship is not a physical act. It's a spiritual act.
In fact,the fastest way you can tell what is not an act of worship is if it is physical.

Why don't you leave all of the physical acts of worship to the heathen or unbelievers that believe that doing all those physical acts towards a direction or a man-made object located somewhere is them worshipping God.
Since you believe the words of Jesus that "God is a spirit" . You know, you can only worship him in spirit by knowing and acting with the truth(his commandments summarized in Luke 6:27-end).

Worshipping God is not an "Every Sunday" thing
It is to be done every day of your life,every single action you take,how you act in every situation,how you feel for others,how you think about others.All of these if they are in line with the truth of the words of Jesus,you are then A TRUE WORSHIPPER OF GOD

It is this kind of Worshippers that God is looking for.Those who would worship God in Truth and in Spirit.

They really got healed by their belief. Not that they worked for it.

Do you think,they would ever have the ability or any slightest urge to sin anymore after those words Jesus spoke to them? Capital NO

Even The power to not sin anymore is embedded in believing.
God himself said he would remove the heart of stone and replace it with the heart of flesh.
