BREAKING!!! NLC Threatens Nationwide Strike if Police Arrests, Detains President Ajaero | #Politicsnigeria

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened to embark on a nationwide strike if its President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, is detained over allegations of terrorism financing by the Nigerian Police.

The leadership of the union made this declaration on Tuesday morning at its headquarters, following an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting convened to discuss the police invitation extended to Ajaero.

After deliberations, the NEC resolved that Ajaero should honour the police invitation, but with the caveat that their legal adviser should seek an extension of time for the NLC President to appear before the police authorities.

Comrade Ado Kabiru Sani, the Deputy President of the NLC, addressed the press.

He said, “As a committed labour center, we wihonournor the invitation of the police because we are not a faceless organization, but we are working with our lawyer for an extension of time.

“In the event that the President is arrested, all workers will down tools immediately. We should wait for further directives from our leadership.”

Nigeria don't have the right environment to build anything. My concern is the distraction from the port harcourt refinery and nnpc as a whole. The main objective is to make sure Nigeria don't grow to compete with the west which I see as a huge problem. Also the introduction of tribalism by this current administration will worsen Nigeria situation and make it very difficult to have a collective impact in the country. A good government that think high of its people should find a way to eradicate any issues around the country but they left it to keep gaining momentum which has convinced me beyond any doubt that Nigeria is in danger.

Abeg don't start..let the people that built the plant oversee it's revival and local Engineers can learn from it and take over after a few years.
