This is very sad. So sorry for your loss and bad experience.

Why did they have to torture you?

Are u sure they don't know u before this incident?

And not that u struggled with them or provoked them.

Thank God you came out alive.

Crime / Re: How I Was Kidnapped, Beaten And Robbed On My Way To Work In Lagos by Sirpaul(m): 11:29am On Sep 29, 2021
you're right though.

Thanks.

Calicoe:

I'll advice you to forget about giving the police any money to track those guys because they will end up collecting ur money without giving you any result. Trust me, they know those guys. If you think I'm lying, give it a try. Give them the money they asked for, they will call you in a month time to tell you that they tracked them down to a nearby state. Then they will demand more money from you. They will tell you something like this... "You have to bring mobilisation fee. If they were still in lagos state, it would have cost you less but since they are in another state, this is what it will cost you'' just let it go. It may take time but I'm sure you will come across one of them somehow. Just don't let the police add to your misery. Sorry for your loss and pain

Thanks Brotherly.

Bros we thank God for your safety . Lagos is a place you have to shine your eyes . I once met a naval officer who entered one chance ...he was robbed too. Anybody can be a victim but it always happen to people that lives home early . Don't disclose how you are going to track then cos some of those committing those act also visit nairaland ...is a public forum where anyone is welcomed . We visited a place to buy a car ....immediately we left their , my friend discovered that his phone was missing . We went back to ask if anyone saw the phone and they all denied ...He told them that if they return the phone , he will gladly give them 40k with thank you but if they refuse , he will get the person and the person will pay dearly .

They thought he was joking ...We eventually tracked and got the person ....she paid dearly ...Anyone saying you can't track them is joking ... I won't go into details on how the person was caught ....purely security matters ...but they same police you don't believe in have intelligent people that won't wAste time to catch those that did that to you ....yes you will spend money but you will laugh last

Thank God you're alive OP. I was attacked by two guys at Ajah area 3 days ago while returning from work around 10pm. One grabbed me from behind and the other from the front dragging my phone, a Samsung A22 I just got last month. I made a mistake by holding it in my hands out of fear of pick pockets. Fam, everyone stood at a distance watching me struggle with two guys, I guess they were all scared. Lagos and Nigeria as a whole ain't safe, na God de protect person.

that was the exact thing that happened..... plant them in the crown. there's no way you would have noticed them
Klass99:

Thank you for saying this. The hardship Buahri/APC has brought upon the land is so bad, a lot of folks now use their private vehicles for town service to supplement their income.

I have seen a woman using her Sienna to pick passengers along the road in VI on her way home, after work hours. Interestingly, I saw the same woman on a different day picking up passengers in the morning on my way to work. Every now and then, I see her in traffic or at bus-stops picking up passengers and I think to myself the hustle is real.

One Uber ride I used last week blew my mind to pieces, it was a very clean and neat Venza. So, fresh and clean I was even afraid to enter I looked at the car description on my app, to make sure the plate number matched the vehicle in front of me and it did. In the course of my trip the driver and I started gisting due to a radio programme we were listening to. Then I found out he had lost his job with Chevron and was using his vehicle for Uber to hold things down.

The people saying he should have known better than to enter a private car are so naive and clueless about the realities on ground now. That robbery incident was well planned, such that, even if you claim to be street smart and an alaye, they would have still scammed you. Planting part of the crew in the crowd of passengers awaiting a ride to work, would never have alerted anyone to the danger lurking round the corner nah!

I dey taya for people ITK on these streets, I swear !

As Sienna don cast, they have moved to Honda Pilot.

These guys are heartless. If you want to steal, steal and don't injure your victims or make them go blind.

For guys working on the Island, pls avoid private cars. Though I understand the convenience that comes with it rather than jumping from one bus to the other.

Are even the public buses free from one chance?

Apart from the trucking profession, Norway offers the best job opportunities to all kinds of professions due to its stable economic system. Truck drivers work five days a week and no more than 7.5 hours a day, and a trucker's average annual salary is $58,000 (USD). However, if truckers are willing to work additional hours, they can earn up to $90,000 (USD) annually.
