PoliticsRe: Turaki-Led PDP Rejects Ruling On National Convention, Heads To Supreme Court by sirpharrell(m): 7:23am On Mar 10
ayo84:
A lot of people are unaware that the president is covertly paying judges. You don't expect them to stand for justice and truth. These judges and people of the law are being serviced out of the drug money laundering funds that the president's men laundering into the country through international banks and transfers. If the opposition make any attempts to mimic this financial stint, they get invites from efcc and icpc. Which way Nigeria.
You said the President is bribing judges? My brother, use your head while supporting any side in their political battles o.

Hismajesty44:
Get your fact straight! Her father's Yoruba. Constitutionally, she's Yoruba.
Oh, I thought it was the other way round
PoliticsRe: Remi Tinubu Speaks Fluent Itsekiri As She Visits Warri by sirpharrell(m): 9:18am On Feb 27
She's from Itsekiri. It seems a lot of people mistake her to be Yoruba
RomanceRe: If You’re Sure He’s The Father, Why Fear The Test? by sirpharrell(m): 6:58pm On Feb 16
I advise every man who can afford it to do a DNA test on their children. You can do it discreetly without her knowledge. I did a DNA test on my supposed only son last year and received a rude shock.
PoliticsRe: Wike Is Not A Problem In APC – Yilwatda by sirpharrell(m): 9:30am On Feb 04
sweerychick:
a source close to Fubara told me that Wike was furious with Tinubu's resolve, and Wike he was trying to persuade Tinubu to go ahead with the impeachment
That your source is just mere sauce.
There would be no impeachment and there would be no second tenure.
That was the outcome of the meeting of all the parties with Tinubu last week.
But that was even the initial agreement before the state of emergency was lifted.
That impeachment threat was just meant to reinforce and restate that agreement because it was beginning to look like the Governor was bypassing the agreement to get support from outside the state for a return ticket under the APC.
Do you think that Wike and his men are so naive to think that the impeachment can succeed without the buy in of the Chief Judge?
Since that meeting, the Governor travelled abroad and wasn't even present in his own birthday celebration.
Haven't you noticed that the tone of APC national leaders towards Wike had changed?
No impeachment. No second tenure. Anybody reporting anything contrary is just ignorant or lying.
Let the Governor summon the courage to return and complete his tenure, working with the House of Assembly.
BusinessRe: Do People Really Make Money From Forex Trading? by sirpharrell(m): 4:13pm On Feb 03
There is no difference between forex trading and sports betting. The use of historical data to predict future events.
Yes, you can make money but more people lose money than make money in both.
Personally, I have made more money from sports betting than forex trading.
In fact, my overall sports betting result will be a profit while my overall forex trading will be a loss.
Both of these forms of gambling require luck but some skills too. Maybe, I am more skilled in sports analysis than forex analysis.
It may be different for you or another person. However, in both of them, you must learn from experience which often comes with losses.
Music/RadioRe: Davido Lost 2026 Grammys To Tyla by sirpharrell(m): 2:29pm On Feb 02
floss:
If care is not taken for a very long time , Burna Boy might remain the only male artist alive in Nigeria that won Grammy…

Reason being that most Nigerian artists are not original in their beats and lyrics, they always try to copy each other. If not with strong connections and foreign collaborations Burna boy wouldn’t have won it either…. Tyla will have another Grammy and Ayra star might win it before davido and Wizkid because of good music…

Good music is different from party bangers played at Nigerian clubs and bars…

Grammy reward originality and good rendition… this is why Davido and wizkid can not win it but will always be nominated to make it go far…

If Davido is capable of making songs like Brymo, he would’ve won his Grammy… I think Brymo needs to start submitting his songs to the organisers for possible nominations…

Omay lay is also capable of winning the Grammy, he makes good songs also
So for you, a good song is only one with very rich lyrics?
Listen, Music is not all about lyrics.
Those party bangers you referred to being played at Nigerian clubs and bars are good music.
They entertain, which is one of the functions of music.
Do you know that the South African Amapiano is mainly beats with very minimal lyrics?
There are other genres of music with little or no lyrics too.
Have you ever listened to American jazz music or the early Fela songs which can be classified as jazz?
To people like you, that is not good music because it is not filled with rich lyrics.
There is no straight jacket to define what good music is. As long as the listeners enjoy it, it is good music.
PoliticsRe: We Won’t Sit-At-Home Again – Onitsha Main Market Traders Assure Soludo by sirpharrell(m): 6:51am On Jan 30
Armaggedon:
Onitsha Main market traders are currently protesting and today's protest will be day four. This meeting is inconsequential. Soludo is trying to prove a political point and he will fail shamefully.
The protest is inconsequential. The market remains locked till Monday.
And if they refuse to open their shops on Monday, another closure for a longer period.
Those protesting are not even the real shop owners.
They are the umu boi, street urchins and nde oso ahia who own no shops.
They are largely uneducated and members of IPOB.
The real shop owners are the ones in the meeting with the Governor.
SportsRe: CAF Slams Morocco, Senegal With Heavy Sanctions After AFCON 2025 Final Incidents by sirpharrell(m): 9:34am On Jan 29
OlujobaSamuel:
Sey wetin happen, what if the players fought and it resulted to casualty(God forbid), wetin you for decide?
Permanent ban from any tournament in the world
Have you checked the rules? If the rules were followed stringently, Senegal was even supposed to forfeit the match. The sanctions are very lenient for the gravity of the offence.
SportsRe: CAF Slams Morocco, Senegal With Heavy Sanctions After AFCON 2025 Final Incidents by sirpharrell(m): 8:13am On Jan 29
OlujobaSamuel:
Make Senegal appeal to CAS
Almost $1m to their team just, kuku tell them to return the prize money, and 5matches for the coach is too much also.
Morocco player got 2match then 1 of it is probation, but you gave Senegal player 3matches, no probation
The punishment was far too lenient on both teams but more especially Senegal. I thought CAF would ban Senegal from the next AFCON and ban their coach for at least 10 years. Some analysts had even predicted that they would forfeit the trophy. I think Senegal would be relieved with the sanctions. Definitely, I am.
PoliticsRe: Onitsha Main Market Closure: Traders Chant Anti-Soludo Slogan (Video) by sirpharrell(m): 11:32am On Jan 27
This is the best decision ever taken by Gov. Soludo.
Clearly, these market traders are supporters and enablers of the IPOB/ESN terrorists
CelebritiesRe: Simi Flaunts Her Baby Bump (Photos) by sirpharrell(m): 1:50pm On Dec 25, 2025
FaAbData:
It's just social media attention seeking. Watin concern Nigerians concern surrogacy.
Person way don already born before
It is surrogacy that you know but there are a lot of things concerning pregnancy and childbirth you would learn with time. Do you know that people wear fake pregnancy bumps for six months and get a baby from somewhere afterwards?
some women show their nude bumps to prove that it is not fake. Some even show their scan results to prove a point. There are a lot of things happening that you may not know now.

CelebritiesRe: Daniel Regha Questions Raye’s Mercedes-benz Purchase by sirpharrell(m): 6:19am On Oct 13, 2025
The first thing would have been to verify if she actually bought a car or she's just catching cruise. We've seen people do that before on social media. If she actually bought the car, those questioning the source of the money are not out of place.
TV/MoviesRe: Imisi Wins Big Brother Naija Season 10 by sirpharrell(m): 9:23pm On Oct 05, 2025
I admit that I didn't watch the show. But from what I was reading online, I thought that this year's show would rather reward entertainment than reward those playing the pity card. Was this Imisi girl among the best entertainers in the show?

PoliticsRe: 2027: PDP Needs Christian Presidential Candidate From South - Bala Mohammed by sirpharrell(m): 5:45am On Aug 29, 2025
The PDP presidential candidate that the North wants is Goodluck Jonathan. But the candidate that the Wike group (and by implication, Tinubu) wants is Seyi Makinde. Oh wait, I thought Wike and Makinde ought to be fighting. Really? This man, Jagaban, is redefining politics.
PoliticsRe: Rural Communities Pay More For Electricity Than Band A Customers – REA by sirpharrell(m): 7:04am On Aug 26, 2025
Most of the comments are ignorant of the topic, as usual.

The REA serves rural communities that are not connected to the national grid. They use solar energy. Those of you disputing the claims are talking of rural communities connected to the national grid. Those are not the communities he is referring to.
Music/RadioRe: 25 Greatest Afrobeats Songs Of All Time (NO. 10 - 1) by sirpharrell(m): 6:04pm On Aug 21, 2025
Yet again, Mad Over You by Runtown is omitted. It seems all these compilers are suffering from selective amnesia so they can't remember this song that was the number one song in West Africa for almost a year.
Music/RadioRe: Billboard’s Afrobeats Top 50 Songs Of All Time (Full List) - 2Baba, Wizkid Lead by sirpharrell(m): 1:58pm On Aug 21, 2025
Mad over you by Runtown should be in the top 10. That song was one of the biggest hits of all time.
CelebritiesRe: I Never Bullied Or Harassed Mohbad - Naira Marley by sirpharrell(m): 5:16pm On Aug 20, 2025
Most Nigerians online, especially young Nigerians, are so gullible. And there are people who take advantage of this gullibility to sell or shape narratives that are false. The cancellation of Naira Marley after Mohbad's death is just one of many such false narratives.

The fake news of a massacre at Lekki Toll Gate was one that nearly burned down the country. I remember in the heat of the fake news, Omotola Jalade posted that people should stop spreading the fake news and she was quickly hushed down with threats of cancellation. And she deleted the post. Many people knew the news was fake but they were afraid to come against the huge propaganda machine selling the narrative.

Then, there is this Peter Obi phenomenon that started around 2022. The regular politician that was largely considered a failure by his people during his term and afterwards, or at best mediocre, suddenly became the best governor Nigeria ever had. The man who largely lived in Onitsha barely unnoticed before 2022 now suddenly could not dare walk the streets without the risk of being mobbed.

There will be more online media false narratives in the future and, sadly, people will fall for them, even people who think that they are intelligent.
CelebritiesRe: Davido, His Dad & Gov Adeleke Have Been Paying Osun State Salaries - Bode George by sirpharrell(m): 9:21pm On Aug 18, 2025
The salary Bode George is referring to is the Local Government workers salaries. The federal allocations to Osun State LGAs have been withheld for some months now. Why is it difficult for people to read and reason properly these days?

It is obvious the country is not easy people are really suffering trekking some packed their car a lot happening a lot
On the other hand, it could be as a result of the improvement of power supply witnessed lately across the country. It's not compulsory that you must think negatively all the time.

PoliticsRe: List Of Politicians And Public Figures Who Have Recently Criticized Peter Obi by sirpharrell(m): 10:58am On Aug 07, 2025
Why put Soludo in that list. Even when someone is talking about another person, Obi will jump in and and say he was the one talked about. Soludo was referring to Ukachukwu, the APC gubernatorial candidate in Anambra State and not Peter Obi.
PoliticsRe: List Of Politicians And Public Figures Who Have Recently Criticized Peter Obi by sirpharrell(m): 10:55am On Aug 07, 2025
If you make a list of people who had criticized Atiku, it will also be this long.
SportsRe: Okocha, Eto'o, Others Shine As Traore Opens Burkina's Historic August 4 Stadium by sirpharrell(m): 9:43am On Aug 07, 2025
You all are commending Traore for renovating their national stadium. But if this was in Nigeria, you all would have been questioning the cost of 300 million dollars and condemning the project
PoliticsRe: PDP Land Revocation: Blame Bode George, Not Wike - Minister's Aide by sirpharrell(m): 7:41am On Mar 23, 2025
ElevationD:
When the said billions were raised in 2014, Wike was the minister of education. After the 2015 election, PDP as a party went broke. It was openly stated that Wike financed the party solely from that period. One of Wike’s right to his now vexatious PDP presidential ticket, was his sponsorship of the party. The question to Wike should be why he failed to pay the ground rent of 28.5 on behalf of his then beloved party?

If Wike did not have the plans to destroy PDP from within, why did he not pay the bill and get the party to refund him. His position as the minister put him in advantage to push his so called beloved party to sort out the bill.

The truth remains that Wike is deeply aggrieved with PDP. His only objective now is to retain his position. If he will do that, he must ensure that BAT wins Abuja and Rivers state in 2027. Whatever happens to PDP is no longer his business. He must destroy PDP from within. As far as he is is concerned, he is an APC member in disguise.
So because Wike was financing the party, he should have also paid the mere 100,000 naira annual ground rent? And why couldn't they pay even when the PDP was in power? Maybe, Wike should be blamed too if the national secretariats run out of printing papers or biros.
PoliticsRe: Fubara Tele-guided Militants To Blow Up Pipelines – AGF by sirpharrell(m):
For the President to take the sudden drastic action of imposing a state of emergency, there must be reliable security reports before him that Governor Sim was behind the blowing up of the pipelines.

Sim supporters in Rivers State are not even hiding it that they are behind the bombing of our oil facilities.
Or at least, they are giving the impression that they are behind the bombings.
And the governor has not deemed it fit to condemn the bombings or call for restraint.
All these after he made a public declaration that he would soon give them the instructions to act.

If the President wanted the governor removed by all means, he will get it by impeachment even if due process was circumvented.
So for him to toe this tedious line is an indication that there was an urgent need to remove the governor.
PoliticsRe: Two RSIEC Commissioners Resign In Rivers State by sirpharrell(m): 8:17am On Mar 08, 2025
Henix:
I actually don't see how he would have done that, going with the way Wike planned everything from the onset. Those assembly guys seem to be totally committed to Wike by something. It would have been advisable for Sim to lay low and finish his 1st tenure before taking up this fight, not like he didn't know what he was going into when he accepted the governorship offer from Wike.

Let's see how the battle ends. I think what they will continue doing is to frustrate the governor, to ensure that he doesn't achieve a good developmental record.

Impeachment might throw up tribal crises in the state because if the governor and his deputy are impeached, the speaker being an Ikwere man is the next to take over, which will not go down well with Ijaw who has been feeling cheated in the state before now.

The former governor really wants to replicate Lagos state politics in Rivers state, but time will tell whether he will succeed or not
If he wanted to, the governor could have got almost all the assembly men to his side after they came back from the Abuja accord. He did not even attempt or explore this angle. I know that for sure. That was the fatal mistake he made.

On impeachment, there is no plan to impeach the governor as being speculated. It is even unnecessary at this point. It is the governor that is baiting the Assembly to impeach him, that is what he desires. But Wike knows better, this game. He has got Sim where he wants him and impeaching him at this point will even be doing the governor a favour.
