Why don't you simply read the new electoral act instead of wallowing in ignorance. It's disheartening seeing young people refusing to read but come online everyday to spread fake information, claiming they are knowledgeable.

It is so sad that supposedly knowledgeable people are engaging in blind arguments on what will happen in Abia State. Some are even ignorantly quoting an old case that have been overtaken by events.

Unlike its preceding laws that were silent on the death of a candidate, the new electoral act 2022 provided for this unfortunate eventuality in section 34. Please go get the Act and read it instead of wallowing in ignorance and arguing blindly.

The running mate will become the candidate. That is what the law says now. Note that INEC may even postpone the gubernatorial election in Abia State because of it. The new electoral act empowers the commission to announce a new date within 14 days.

so if Amaechi says he is not running, Tinubu can then unite his boy, Senator Magnus Abe to Amaechi and ask him to stop fighting the APC in Rivers State through the courts? The leaders of the APC are not fools and they understand the games Tinubu has been playing in several states chapters he perceives may not support his ambition. Using your surrogates to fight leaders of some states with the consequent result of loss of some of those states to the opposition is not the best way to fight for the party ticket.

Tinubu said recently that he will fight dirty, the statement of a desperate man. What he should have said is that he would fight dirtier because he had been fighting dirty since 2017. At the onset, President Buhari entrusted almost all party affairs to him but he was only interested in furthering his ambition even if it costs the party some states. And it indeed cost APC five states even though we later recovered two.

Why didn't Gov. Wike thank Amaechi for executing the projects (three roads and three flyovers) for which the refund were paid? This is almost a week now that a group in Rivers State has demanded for the autopsy report on the corpse of this man to be made public, all to no avail. I heard Dr. Lloyd repeat same demand towards the end of the AIT clip. If we remove our emotions and think rationally, we should be worried that a document as simple as an autopsy report has not been made public, at least, to shame those critics who claim that the man was never shot.

It may interest you to know that the man was purportedly shot on the day of the gubernatorial election, 9th March 2019 and he was said to have died on the 16th March. Less than 24 hours later, the Governor went to pay a condolence visit to the family and made a pledge or donation of 200 million naira to them. The Governor never visited the man throughout the seven days he was said to have spent in the hospital. Any right thinking individual would wonder why a fraction of that money was not made available to fly him abroad for further medical treatment. There has been no public mention of any surgery on this man throughout the seven days he spent in the hospital. A man shot at close range, no surgery and no attempt to fly him abroad the way politicians normally do for a whole week?

Even from the video, no drop of blood was seen for someone ostensibly shot at the stomach from close range from the rifle of a SARS operative. This should be a miraculous wonder. As a doctor rightly identified here, the dressing of the wound is not consistent with that of a bullet wound. The manner in which the man waited for the cameraman before clutching his stomach and fell is what Dr. Lloyd was describing as Nollywood. A critical mind would have noticed that the shooting had long stopped before the man fell, got up, and fell again. The whole thing was too dramatic for me and one could hear a voice telling him to fall again when he tried to get up.

The most critical point for any unbiased mind is the absence of a drop of blood on the man in the video. Gunshots were heard but I think the Policemen were not shooting at the people. Did anyone else apart from Dr. Ferry got hit by a bullet? Anybody could curse and argue blindly but the only way to convince doubting thomases like me that this man was actually shot is to make the autopsy report available for the public. QED.

How much is the cost of this project and was it provided for in the 2016 or 2017 budget? Who is the contractor handling this project and was the bidding publicized? Can the details of the 2016 and 2017 Rivers State budget be made public as it ought to? I know illiterates would say these questions bordering on transparency and accountability do not matter.

Are those road and expressway projects recurrent expenses? I presume they were supposed to be taken care of in a particular fiscal year as capital projects. Why are they appearing on every year's budgetary estimates? I think the National Assembly did well to reduce these expenses. Corruption is just been carried out every day through these ministries that keep on allocating hard earned tax payers moneys for supposedly capital projects like purchase of computers, construction of roads etc in the budget every year. These men in the executive suits must not just do whatever seems best to them at the expense of the masses. Thumbs up to NASS for reducing the stonky budgetary allocations. As for Fashola, if the contractors threaten to abandon the projects, use the approved allocation and hire new contractors to complete the projects. A road project can last for three or four years. The budget allocation is for the work that will be done in that particular year. All the money will not be in one year's budget. That is why those big highway projects seem to be recurring. Please, get educated.

There were other elections held in 2015. I wasn't referring to the presidential election.

He had much bigger crowds during his electioneering campaigns in 2015 and still lost. I am not saying he is not popular but those knowledgeable in this area will know that the size of the crowd is not necessarily an indication of his popularity or ability to deliver in an election. I have seen a politician fill a big stadium and still got less than 5000 votes in the election proper.
