ephi123: Being an introvert doesn't mean you can't have strong social skills, the only difference is you choose when and when not to use those skills.
You would naturally prefer not being in large gatherings but if you have to be there, you can carry on a conversation and hold your own. The same applies to interviews. You can be introverted and confident, let's not start using being introverted as an excuse for shyness or a lack of confidence.
Introvert-ism is not the same as shyness, I think people tend to mix the two up. Well, the mix is cz of the belief that extroverts aren't shy and are confident in most situations |

Favourite01: I have the same issue too.im an introvert and sometimes I wish I was an extrovert.i ve been seeking for a job since 2015.i ve always been invited for interviews but I don't scale through successfully at the interview stage,i always mess up.it doesn't mean I'm dullard,i ve done aptitude tests in the past which I passed, but wen it comes to the interview stage,i become very nervous, and i simply forget what to say or how to say it even if know what to say.i dnt no how to keep a conversation going.i m really confused,i dnt no if I will ever get a job. It's all about finding your comfort zone What gets you relaxed before an interview? What gets you excited and passionate about a job? Sometimes, one might make mistakes or get nervous...but if you can respond in ways they see your zeal for the job, your background knowledge, or attitude to learn Those are things that might get them a bit easy But, what I do appreciate is when those interviewing on a panel understand the situation and try to make you calm and relaxed...cz they want to get the best out of you |

hotspec: I totally disagree with OP's opinion on number 4. Researches have shown that increased use of smart phones has indeed increase and improve reading culture. Millions of people now read on d screen rather than physical reading which has its limitations. For example check d number of members (readers) here on naira land and tell me which Library in d world can physically bring that number together to read at once? While that is correct, the issue remains what are they reading??It's one thing to be informed, and another to waste valuable time on nothing |
Christianity Etc › Re: CAN Protests Nigerian Participation In Islamic Sports by sirusX(m): 8:09am On May 13, 2017 |
udatso: Let the fg settle this one and for all. They should start by removing ng as an Islamic country cos it posses serious threat to our unity especially now that Nigerians are very sensitive to religious matters. As a Muslim, I wouldn't feel comfortable if Nigeria is registered as a Christian nation (assuming there is something like that). I believe the fact that Nigeria is enlisted as an Islamic nation was the reason she was invited to this game. Let's put an end to this. As for our Muslim brothers who think there is nothing wrong with it, I want them to know that everything is wrong with it. Do to others what you want them to do to you. I'm always thankful when I see people like you make so much sense without inclination to favoritism It's about recognizing everybody as one, and understanding what is best for the people and the nation as a whole We all are different, but in our differences there shouldn't be labels that should divide us |

bakynes: I can't remember the minister or person in govt that made this statement during Yaradua tenure.
"Nigeria is the only Islamic country in the world with the largest Christian Population".
To these Northerners,Nigeria is an Islamic country that's why there is always the fear of Islamization in the South. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/minister-nurudeens-islamic-republic-of-nigeria/THE unsavoury consequence of Nigeria’s membership of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, is rearing its ugly head. The surreptitious, nocturnal, and unconstitutional enrolment of Nigeria into that Islamic forum effectively put this country out as an “Islamic country”, at least by perception, though our Constitution is unequivocal that we are multi-religious without an official state religion. The more appropriate thing was for our Moslem community, perhaps through the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, with the Sultan of Sokot as its head, to register with the OIC, attend its meetings, participate in its conventions and pocket all the benefits it is touted to heap upon its members. That way, non-Muslims would not be bothered since the Christians also have their own international affiliations through their various church organs. There is a big buzz over the internet, that Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Nurudeen Mohammed, while at a recent meeting of the OIC in Saudi Arabia, described Nigeria as an “an Islamic State with the largest Christian population”. A furious President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor condemned Mohammed for that alleged assertion, calling for his immediate dismissal. |

Major sports organisations are dedicated to secularism - there is zero muslim, Christian or "atheist" swing to it. Silly ass muslims can't see from any position outside their own. GBAM!!Whether na Olympics or Paralympics....Football, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, etc There is never a religious view attached to it |

OLAJADON: Nigeria is a secular state where we have both Muslims and Christians, Now CAN is writing federal government to stop Nigeria from participating in a sport because the organisers are Muslims but there is nothing bad if we participate in any sport organised by Christians or atheist. my question is how does individual either christian or Buddhist participating in a general sport organised by Muslims affect the individual religion. this is pure hate of Islam with no logical reason. OLAJADON ...read the words below Rxdon: You got the whole point wrong.. ISSF is meant for ONLY MUSLIM COUNTRIES which Nigeria is certainly not and Can't be.. Be guided My issue is the way the organizers made the sport seem...like it's for only Muslims by MuslimsYou can't even find our colonial masters; England on the list, talk less of America, yet they have Muslims living withing those countries |
